Hi
I want to create an app that overrides the way windows phone receives text messages
Is there a class I can use to have my app always monitoring SMS traffic? Is there a way i can have my app override what kind of notification the windows phone would use when text message is received? Is there a way for the app to intercept incoming text messages and deal with them quietly as opposed to requiring the user to interact with them? Can windows phone 7 apps simply run in the background, monitoring traffic all the time? What class or part of the framework does all that?
Thanks in advance.

I'd like to be able to block particular numbers from texting me and/or have a program that tells you how many text messages you've made/received or just any kind of advanced text message managing ability. anyone know af any good software program? thanks
Kind of like the sms filter for windows phones, where certain contacts you can choose to have the text messages filtered to a location outside the normal inbox...? any programs out there like that ?
Extreme call blocker.
does that also filter sms ? or just calls? this other program on my windows mobile sent the selected contacts messages to a program that you had to insert a password to view away in its own inbox. It also sent you a little blue notification that said displayed whatever notification you wanted it to...
is this call blocker offer the same functionality?
just googled...thanks

The only way I know to do this is with the accessibility service with an event type of 64 you can monitor as new messages come in and get the text from them.
HTC phones have an intent for when notifications are added and removed from what I remember, but not other makes.
[Q] Secretly Saving SMS & Call Logs without any notification on the notification bar.
Hi Team,
Wanted to know which application is there in Google Play store which can secretly save the text messages and call logs of the Phone without the user who actually is using the phone. Secretly means no notifications should be shown on the status bar and it should run on the background.
For e.g. If parents want to give their child a phone and want to keep an eye on them, then they can install this application so that even if child deletes the contents of SMS/Call logs, then also parents would come to know what they had been doing as the contents of the SMS along with other necessary information would be saved by the application on the device.
If there is no such app yet developed by anyone then would request you to have a look into the same.

So, knowing Google, they won't make their own desktop client for messages for web. Most people may be fine just pinning the tab in their browser or using the page shortcut method. I, however, am not, because I feel these things are lacking in some pretty basic features that can only come from a native application, such as minimizing to the system tray, start on boot, and reply to the message from the notification. Basically, the hope is to basically just embed their page into an Electron app (or something) and then use that app as the middleman. It would intercept the notifications, generate it's own native notification with the ability to reply to the message from within the notification on supported systems (Windows 10 can do this, don't know about OS X though).
Anybody up for the challenge?
