I must admit I am both excited and scared over this purchase. I am excited because if it is 1750mah it will be amazing. But, I have read some poor reviews regarding this battery. So, if it is just like a stock battery it will be a sad waste of $40. Seidio has never let me down in the past so I am hoping it works out. Anyone have stories?
thanks

Only story I have....u should have bought the 3500. No comparison. The 1750 is barely noticeable. At least for me. My usage required more capacity.
I understand but I just don't want something so bulky. I like the regular look of the phone. I am just crossing my fingers.

I have an extra incipio feather if u would be interested. I use the platinum 2x. No case. Love it. 30+ hours any given time. 6+ hours screen on time

The feather is case, an extremely thin one for the stock battery, if u might have misunderstood.
i had one before and a cheap battery of ebay performed better than tseido's 250 ma extra over stock battery
seems like everyone has a differ experience. Some good, some bad... Luck of the draw I guess. I am staying positive
I have had very good results with Mugen batteries. They're a bit more expensive but very good quality.

The battery is a 15% upgrade over the stock one. So yeah, imagine 15% longer.
Most people are deceived because they lack the scientific testing. Their only test is "it lasts X hours".
That's today, with a different usage than yesterday, with a different network signal quality and so on. It's not so much the battery than the user...
I highly recommend this seidio battery. I am noticing a very nice increase in battery life abd i am very happy with this purchase.

So I was told to make a review when I got this, cause people want reviews to see stuff and that ****. Now, onto the review.
Experience:
Arriving home one fateful afternoon, I noticed I had a package from Amazon. I opened up the box like a little fat kid in a candy store, and to my surprise, I didn't get half the item. Sent it back, got another one, all that fancy ****, and I opened it up. As initial impressions goes,
Smelt funny.
The back door is the same "rubber" material as on some of the Logitech mice, and the CR-48.
Battery had some weight to it.
The door cover is MUCH more ridgid than the stock one.
So I put it in and all that fun stuff, tried it out, and yeah. I ran the screen on for about 5 hours, from a 100% charged battery, and I dropped down to 75% in the end. I guess this is somewhat expected, considering the capacity of this battery is almost 2x the stock. Running superclean, standard kernel, the jist.
tl;dr
Pros:
Makes the phone feel more ridgid, stable, sturdy.
LONG battery life, as expected.
Nice grip to the phone.
Generally feels nice on the fingers; i.e they don't stick.
Raises the phone up a bit so the camera lense doesn't get scratched.
Cons:
Smells funky; probably the packaging.
Took me about 15 minutes to get it off. Snaps on so tight that it doesn't come back off easily.
My CR-48 material covering comes off easy, and this is the same material, so I'm worried its going to happen here as well.
This thing costs $24 as of now; if you have the money to spend I see no reason why not to get this, unless you have a limited supply of pocket space; then you're screwed.
Ask me in the channel for pictures, XDA won't let me throw em here.
I just took your advice. I hold you personally responsible if I don't like it. =P
Better battery + a less plastic-ey feel? I'm in.

Basing my information on my time with the battery, I'd say its a good brand. They sell other things too, got a website; they mostly do apparel for electronics. Also, yes, the advertised product is exactly as it is.

Okay. So I have the casing and battery and have had it on for about the last last 24 hours so I will share what I think so far.
Casing: I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of the casing. Honestly, it feels quite similar to the "soft touch" casing that, is found on HTC phones. This is a major plus for me as I hated how plastic-ey the stock casing felt.
The casing is a bit thick though. Id say it close to doubles the thickness of the phone. This isn't as bad as it sounds though as the fascinate us a thin phone to begin with. Personally I don't mind the added thickness and it might even sit a bit better in my hand. My girlfriend however has small hands and dislikes the phone being bigger.
The short version: case feels great. The thickness may or may not bother you.
As for the battery, the life seems good but I'm going to give it a few days to calibrate before I give a final impression.

I went through my first day with this battery and I have the exact same impressions as below. The added thickness bothered me at first but I think I'm already starting to get used to it after only one day of use.
I unplugged my phone at 830 this morning and it's now just past 1030 for an uptime of over 14 hours and I have 51% left. This is just amazing considering my phone usually dies after 6-8 hours of use.
Final impressions: the best $24 I ever spent on any phone accessory I ever purchased!

Just use it normally, condition it, etc.
I am going to look into getting a sweet battery, but not real familiar with them, what brands make batteries for these phones?
So this one can be charged using the phone? Or do you have to use an external charger?

Hello Doubleshot Family!
I recently purchased the Mugen Power 3600mah battery with battery door. I am currently still breaking in this battery but I have been very impressed with longevity of the battery (I'm on my 3rd day of use on a charge cycle right now)I personally like the extra size as well and decided to use this as my daily driver in a slip case.
That being said, I have a Trident Case in Ballistic Green that will go mostly unused now on my shelf so I've decided to give it away free.
The first person with a shipping address inside the United States who is interested and replies to this post can have this barely used case. I will cover the cost of shipping but you HAVE to have an address inside the US.
Once it's confirmed that you are the first one to respond, go ahead and PM me with your address and I will get this out to you this week.
Good luck!!
Here's a link to the case:

Yeah, I liked the Trident case a lot but honestly, I'm not even done conditioning the Mugen battery yet and I'm getting two solid days of use and then some. (I can take the phone off the charger in morning of one day and can EASILY make it to the following night before going back on charge. I made it to a third night on this last charge before killing it but I was being a little more careful about my useage on the third day.
Plus, I really like the shape of the phone now. Typing feels more natural and so does holding it for calls. The Trident case kind of hindered typing on the top row a tiny bit and sliding it out wasn't as smooth as stock...not really a big deal though.
The only downside is no cases other than a slipcase but I used my G1 in a slipcase with extended battery for two years with no problems so I'm pretty used to it.
I'd look into the peel and stick armor suits, probably the best thing you can do as far as protection goes.
I'd figure that even if it doesn't cover the whole new back cover provided for the hi-cap battery, you should at least be able to cover the majority of it, where you would set it down and stuff to prevent scratches and some general wear. It'll definitely protect what's left of the original casing, on the screen half and anything else though.
Probably have to break-in your leather case first, though, or risk pulling it off going in and out of the case.
Hey folks,
I tried searching but could not find the answer. I am about to the buy the otterbox for my lovely G2. I love otterboxes but before I do, anyone know if an extended battery (like this one) would fit with the otterbox on it?
I assume not, based on prior experience the otterbox must be pretty tight but wanted to double check.
Thanks

Pysch. I just read that batteries' description and it seems it does not add any thickness to the battery. Has anyone proven/disproven this?
Also my original question still stands I think as I am still thinking of getting an extended battery. My G2 does last about 10 hours of normal use, but who knows when you might need the extra juice; better safe than sorry I think.
Anything that fits in our existing battery door will work with an Otterbox.
Seidio tends to work OK, though I prefer OEM batteries. HTC makes one for the EVO Design 4G that is 1520mAh and fits inside the G2 perfect as well.
Thanks.
And so is it safe to assume anything does adds even a little bit of bulk does not fit with an otterbox?

If the original battery door closes it should be fine. Any battery that needs its own battery door won't work with the otterbox.

Thanks for the heads up. I have ordered a cheap case from amazon but still desperately want to find an otterbox. Their cases are so amazing, it sucks there are so few out there for the G2. Anyone who has used an extended battery for our Verizon GS3, what brands are good or what have you had good experiences with? I never messed with an extended battery before. And yes, I do know if they are big it will come with a new back cover for compatibility of the thickness.
I personally haven't used any extended batteries yet, but within the last couple hours a lot of the android news blogs have been posting about genuine samsung brand batteries at 3000mah. Looks like you get an extended case with it that doesn't seem 'that' big.
Still it's 60 bucks though, more than I paid for the phone, haha.
Edit: ugh.. since I'm a new member apparently I can't post links yet, just google: samsung galaxy s3 extended battery
You should see it in the news.
I picked up the Hyperion 4400 of eBay for like 25 and it's amazing. I get around 9 hours screen time the larger back feels much better in my hands. And there customer service is amazing. The back was as little loose so I emailed them and they sent me a brand new back... And battery!
By the way there is a couple really good comparison threads in the accessories section you may want to check out.

I picked up the Qcell batteries and a charger for $36 a few months ago on Amazon, now it's just $25 for two batteries and charger..
I've been very pleased with them!
Wife's using the QCell 4200 mAh battery. She loves it. She uses it all day, and has yet to see it go below 60%. And she spends the entire work day in a lower signal area.

We've had the phones for going on three months now. So about 2.5 months. It's a great battery. Battery cover isn't so hot though. It's the same thickness around the entire cover. So the camera and flash are in these deep holes. Pictures without flash come out ok, but pictures with flash have sort of a pinhole effect where the picture is much brighter around the center, and too dark at the edges. I'm getting her a Seidio back that I've been told will fit. The Seidio back tapers toward the top, so that the camera and flash are not covered at all. I had the same type of back with my old Evo, and it worked perfectly.

I purchased the Anker 4400mAh Extended battery off of Amazon for $20 (it doesn't support NFC though). I have had the phone on for over two days at one point with medium to heavy usage, and it still hasn't reached below 40%. The only downside I didn't consider when purchasing an extended battery was that the cases I had previously bought to cover the phone would not fit of course, so I purchased two additional extended battery cases (which aren't all that great compared to the standard cases). Check out the reviews on that battery, most of them are excellent.
Right now I rock the Seidio Kickstand case and I know they make another case for extended batteries. I've been happy with this cases so I'm a try it out.
Once I get the Seidio back to use on the Qcell battery and verify that it does indeed fit, I am going to pick up the Seidio kickstand case for it. I have the kickstand case that fits the stock battery right now, and it is a great case!

Right on. Seidio does good work. I like the fact that the kick stand cases are soft on the side but hard on the outside. I read the extended battery version is made for the 3,500 mAh battery but my colleague bought the extended back (not the battery, just the back cover + extended case) and he said it fits his other extended batteries that exceeded 4,000 mAh.
Hey guys,
I was looking at the Mophie Juice Pack for Samsung Galaxy S6 but it retails for at least $74.99 plus shipping and handling on Amazon. I've seen other cases that claim to supply the same amount (or more) battery life than the Mophie one, but they're... suspiciously cheap, some are $29.99 and some are even $19.99. So there are two things that I'm looking for in my external battery case:
1. At least 3,000 mAh
2. Protection from dropping the phone and it landing screen-side. I don't case about how easy the case scratches or whatever.
I find the best way to figure these out are just to ask people which battery case they use or have seen used. So I'll do it, which battery cases have you guys used, and what was their quality like? Did they protect your phone?
Personally, I love and recommend this case: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...CY0R72CAW7Q&ref_=pd_ys_sf_s_2335752011_a2_5_p
It has a soft rubber feel, lowers the likelihood of dropping the phone. Battery life is excellent. I use it when traveling on business.
Last thought. It is ZeroLemon, one of the most trusted names in accessories.
I hope this helps.

3 1/2 stars with over 100 reviews. I think that is pretty good for Amazon. Most of the reviews (44%) are 5 star, followed by 33% at 4 star.
The specified goal was long battery life....it gives me 2x the battery that I have without it.
It offers good protection and it reasonably priced.
Do you have an alternative to propose?
