What difference between european and asian firmwares?
Can i flash asian firmware even if im from europe ?
yes, you can flash any ROM you want as long as you have the GT-S5670.
yea i know...i read it on bangalorerohan's post but ty anyway
not much difference ...except few apps and settings and kernels and map positioning and language you have to set coz it will take you to the default seting...you can flash any rom of your model though people say ki it will void your warranty but i went to customer cell he said its fine....personnely i feel european firmware are faster and better batry management
I find european versions to be better than asian ones
same here bro dont know why they make it better one more thing i noticed asian roms are around 15mb size less than european version...though having same apps and i mean same with the version of apps also guess some system files are different checked indian ddkt1 2.3.6 was too slow comparision to uk xwkt2 though market version of uk was old and indian version icon for memo and call ver differnt ...the kernel version of uk was same of ddkq5 indian 2.3.4 and its really fast and better battery performance than ddkt1 latest indian version

It is not that they are better.... thay r made according to the European standards.... that is variation in maps market language and more.... but both r nearly the same.... wen it comes to speed u can say its little faster that the asian ROM's

probably because WP is only just now available in most of Asia so there simply haven't been any ROM's for that part of the world. Right now most ROM;s come from Europe because that part of the world has the most support for WP.

Not offcially, sure people could import phones there but MS is just now releasing phones for China with Tango. There are a few phones for Japan I guess, but nobody really has them.
i mean download a rom package file and cook a rom is not possible?
I bought just yesterday a samsung galaxy r9103, all good and in order but i have a lillte problem.
In Csc i only have CHN and CHZ.
I`ve downloaded and flashed using odin and guide ( 10x for that) Gb 2.3.6. Non branded and all region PDA, MODEM and CSC files.
After that i used that code*#272*IMEI# but also got just those 2 Sales codes like i said.
And who sold that phone to me didn'ttold me that this phone is boght form China, and i dont like those stck apps that are installed after i flashed that rom ( and also i can`t use gmail .apk, playstore.apk, gmaps and so on).
tell me is there a solution that ca can fiind to this problem.
I want toinstall a allreagion CSC so my problems will be solved, but i didn`t find anything ( tutorial, guide, thead) about my problem.
I hope someone can help me to solve this problem.
Thank you so much!

If you are rooted & want to do..then root your phone & switch to CM10.1. It has all solutions.
So a solution to remain on actualy rom 2.3.6gb all region u dont have?
See pictures.!
which region are you in? Which region rom would you like to use? You can flash any stock 2.3.6 Official Samsung ROM from this link
Welcome to the SGR Family
You will have to download Odin in your PC and flash the stock rom you want via that software. Then you will have another region's CSC in your phone. The current bugfree and stable 2.3.6 ROMs are the austrian "3" provider rom. To be honest, the reason why most of us here recommend CM10.1 is because of its awesomeness. Another point is that Gingerbread Roms (2.3.6) and ICS Roms (4.0.4) which were officially released by samsung are buggy for us. For eg, in GB Indian CSC version Rom the data counter doesnt work properly and in ICS the games do not work properly, there is frequent stuttering etc. Hence we moved to jelly bean 4.2 in cm10.1 which is just beyond amazing.
However, if you use GPS often or skype/other voice calling apps over the internet they may not work properly yet. GPS is sort of moody and is working for some and not for the rest.. not sure why.. but i'm sure all these bugs will be squashed out soon..
Happy flashing

would this work on my phone?, the file says "S7500DXMG3" and the one installed in my phone stocked is version S7500DXLB1.
Ans
Don't be worry.
I live in Taiwan but I can flash even German version( I've tried before)
This firmware is the latest. I think your version is older one. Samsung released several version to make it stable, so the latest version is the stablest version and it will also add some new features.
Actually, all S7500 firmware is suitable but you have to notice that your area.
Because I found I flash German 2.3.6 stock firmware and I cannot have stock Chinese keyboard in it.
Flash your country version is the best choice.
p.s. if you flash from a custom rom, don't forget to back up data you want and do factory reset. it will make your S7500 work like a new phone
thanks a lot

I see, well thanks a lot for all your help.:highfive::good:
I know Snapdragon won't work on Exynos and vice versa but on the older models the ROMs could be flashed from different international regions and worked perfectly - I used a UK ROM on my Note 3 for quite a while as the Aussie ROMs take as much time as tectonic plate movement to be released....
Has Samsung region locked the hardware through using region specific roms that aren't flashable through regions?
I see a few versions of ROMs around for certain 915* roms with the stipulation that they can't/shouldn't be flashed on another version and was wondering if that was so..
A Devs input on this would be nice, thanks for reading my ramblings...

Sweet, thanks for the reply. Might have to try...
Guys may I know which version u have? This is the first time I'm going to try op phone so I don't want to make any unnecessary mistake.
Is there any difference between the two in terms of custom rom and rooting availability(such as samsung's exynos is easier to get custom rom and root than other version) ? Or any custom rom will fit to either version?
BTW I'm living in Indonesia, do both will work just fine on my country or do I need a specific version in order to use it here?
Thanks people.
need the answer too, some people said using A6000 outside india or china the 4g network may not working.

I have a6003 here in the u.s..
I have A6003 here in the UK
6003 here in Australia - this is the official International version.. There is a 6000 version going around, which seems to be India based - but is being sold as a "flashed OS" version and sold internationally. I would highly suggest getting the 6003 - it seems the most compatible
6003 is for europe/us.
6000 is for chinese/india.
The difference is just the supported bands (6003 supports much more) and the rom, the rom can be replaced easily.
6003 for US/EU/GLOBAL
6000 is for China/India (no play services, few bands missing etc)
this information was received from oneplus directly.
