My dad is a noob
He bought a Samsung Galaxy S 4G from t-mobile when he was in the US.
And ofc he expects me to change the interface into norwegian.
My questions:
1. Is there android firmware for this that include norwegian language?
Danish perhaps
2. The t-mobile chassi seems different from the regular SGS'es by looks.
Are these changes only cosmetic done by t-mobile,
and have no effect on the firmware i can use?
3. Is there some kind of windows os for this phone? That might have norwegian?
4. What are my alternatives?
If he cant get norwegian, my brother gets a new phone

Shoot, it did not do anything to the locale language. Still cant find Norwegian in the locale settings.
And cant seem to find a manual for the app. I might have done it wrong.
Anyone else tried this procedure, is there anything else that needs doing for it changing language?
Back to the firmware it seems...

I'm thinking of buying a WM6.1 device (the Asus P320) i know its not branded 6.1, but thought you guys would know -- would it be possible to change the language of the GUI to English as it comes only in Chinese here. I don't have access to the english roms but would it be possible to do via the registry or anything else?

The language is part of the rom, if you buy a device with a chines rom only the chinese language is included. Theres no registry tweak, sorry.
I see -- anyone know where I can get english roms for the Asus P320? I searched the forum found a few for 525 -- but couldn't find where they got them.

Asus hasn't released the english roms out yet -- but when they do post it on their website -- would they be region specific? (e.g. chinese rom only workso n chinese device? as in teh case of updates) or would the rom completely replace the device regardless of region?
If the latter is the case i might just wait for the english rom to come out

Nope, all of the roms are digitally signed. If you change ANYTHING in the rom, the signature fails and it won't flash.

Does anyone know how to do that? I downloaded and installed already MoreLocale2 and the custom HTC_IME, but still can't use Indonesian as a language to use for sms.
Only the European languages and Chinese/Thai, which came originally with the phone, work.
I don't want to root, ideally I would just have to download an .apk or new IME file, but can't seem to find the right one. Can anyone help?

my language changed to English CA and I do not have option to change it back to English US, please help.
I can not install/run some applicaion like Amazon MP3 whcih says in order to use this you will have to change default language to English US or UK. Something happened today also when I search on google everything first search for .ca very strage please help.

Probably cuz the ROM is based of of rogers gingerbread from Canada.
If you are on the Rogers kernel, try a different one.

When I just got the phone. I remember seeing the full list, and I was able to select some languages. However, now I don't see the full list anymore. Currently, I only see:
English
Spanish
Tieng Viet
Korean
Simplified Chinese
How do I add more languages?
