Sorry, I am bit confused...you did a full wipe, didn't flash a new rom and the old one is working?...have you tried swapping SIM Cards before? because not all sim cards are compatible with unlock Inspire....search the Ace Hack Kit thread, because someone came into that problem....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=952352
Hope it helps...
EDIT: Sorry I just saw the error message the phone is sending you...haven't you erased anything?...If the sim card is ATT it doesn't matter is the phone is rooted or not....but haven't you erased anything? try using this menu:
dial * # * # 4 6 3 6 # * # * and then go to bands pressing menu. Check if the bands there.

I had a ton of stuff on the phone she did not want, So I did a full wipe and flashed the HD revolution rom again and still no service. I understand that not all sims will work but even putting mine back in there is no service.
Can it be something wrong with the radio?

Perhaps...but if you didn't change radios, have you?...then it might not be that.
Do the following...try go flash ARHD againg or an Stock rom and see what happens....maybe you had a bad flash....
you can find stock roms here:

i would flash back the att stock rooted rom. If that doesnt work then flash back to non rooted rom. Before doing that check your apn settings under mobile network type and make sure they are still there.

PREPARING SIM .. nothing after that.. no signal

this is how it goes, i received a att htc one x from some of xda only..

i'M from india.. AND I'M SERIOUSLY F*CKED UP RIGHT NOW ..
MY PHONE HAS NO SIGNALS.. IT ALWAYS SAYS "PREPARING SIM WHEN I TOGGLE AIRPLANE MODE" BUT NOTHING AFTER THAT .. NO SIGNALS//
ANY ANY KIND OF HELP IS APPRICIATED .. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP
Did you tried a new sim card?
Also there's a trick to add some regular office tape to the back of the sim card to try to make it thicker thus making the sim have better contacts with the phone.

just add a couple of layers of scotch or packing tape to the back. something light. dont use anything like duct tape
Are you sure its SIM unlocked?
There is SIM unlocking and boot loader unlocking.
They are different. You want SIM unlocked.
You can buy a SIM unlock code from websites.

AND YES MY PHONE IS SIM UNLOCKED.. IT DOESN'T ASK FOR ANY CODE WHEN I INSERT MY VODAFONE SIM..
how come the real owner of the phone says it is working for him and not for me ?
can the update to 1.85 help?
it does tranfer my sim contacts to phone ..
factory reset. and/or try new RUU. doesn't work still = damage to the sim reader pins OR your micro sim is damaged. check apn settings too
my phone does read my sim , because it has transfered my sim contacts to the phone ..
i think there is some problem with the radio.. i'm going to update it to the latest ruu first ..

Digging up a thread that is almost a year and a half old and just saying "I have the same problem" without any specifics is not the right way to post a problem.
Is your phone modded (bootloader unlocked, custom ROM, etc.)?
What are you bootloader details?
Stock ROM or custom? If custom, which one?
Did you flash anything recently? What was it?
Did the issue arise after flashing something new, or just started on its own?
Also, a solution was already posted several times on this thread. Did even bother to read the thread, and try the fix?

Well, did you try to put tape on the SIM, as suggested multiple times on the thread?
Also, if you tried something, and it didn't work, than you need to state that when asking for help.
And dude, you aren't even in the right forum section. This is for the One X/XL, not the One.

It doesn't matter which radio you flash, as long as it's an Evita radio it's compatible. You've possibly got a hardware problem. Have you tried running an RUU?

[Q] Need help with radio flashing

Hi, I tried to flash a few different radios, and then back to the original one and it seems like it isn't reading my sim card anymore... I'm not sure if I am flashing it correctly. I booted into the recovery mode and installed zip from internal and chose the radio zip file. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.

if u r using the correct recoveries, clear caches, flashing the radio again , sometimes it doesnt take when doing it only once, even removing battery after flashing the radio might help

[Q] [Help] Skyrocket go down!

hi everyone. I need some help here with my At&t Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket. I had my phone unlocked and work on T-mobile GSM fine but I only got EDGE for data. I then flash it with with a T-mobile radio according to the instruction here at XDA forrum to try to get 3G/4G. after flashing the radio the baseband in the phone showed "unknown" and I lost both GSM and EDGE. the phone even didn't recognize my SIM card,I don't know If I did something wrong.
Here How I did
1. I flash CWM 5.8.x
2 I update to CWM 14.x.x touch version
3. Root the phone with SuperSU busy box
4. Flashing tmo_SGH-T989_VK1.zip radio
5. No signal.
It seem to be the radio I tried to flash didn't go in correctly. BTW I still keep the stock ROM form At&T (ICS 4.0.4)
Any one have experienced the same problem like me ?
Thank you very much for helping me out.

I finally understand the problem the phone simply doesn't accept the radio. I flashed the new radio and turn out the original radio was removed and new one didn't go in. when i flashed a full stock ROM the original radio came back. may be the ROM and radio have to be compiled together.

Uh no you have to flash the modem before the ROM to get a good flash from what I've seen. Also I think almost every radio exempting maybe gingerbread radios as I haven't tested them should work on every ROM exempting maybe tw based.

[HELP] 4G LTE no longer working.

My phone no longer goes to 4g. if I flash back to the stock rom, then it works.
I've tried slimkat, slimbean, andybonestock, and cyanogenmod. On any custom rom 4g no longer works, only 3g.
Also I am on the latest firmware/radio/modem
My Phone is set to CDMA+LTE/EVDO, and whats weird... is that if I set the subscription type to NV then I GET LTE... but sms and calls do not work, only data.. Switch back to SIM then everything works but only 3g..
This happened to me. You'll need to flash the root66 build with odin. There's a set of instructions somewhere. I would link it but I'm on my tablet. Google it and let me know if you need help.

Do you have a hard case on your phone? Before I put one on I walked into a table corner and busted my sd card. Not a stretch to imagine it happening to a sim card. The back on this phone is way to flimsy.
Ive never dropped it and ive had an otterbox case on it since i got it.
