Hello,
Everytime i try to upload something via FB button from gallery, or sharing a file via Facebook for HTC Sense at the end of the upload it says upload failed due to HTC Media Uploader FC.
I am now having this problem when sharing videos to Flickr, same error.
Mention that i use ADW Launcher, this should be the problem?
Thanks!
Have you checked the free space available?
yes, 43mb
Check under Applications -> Manage applications the HTC Media Uploader. Clear data and try again, see if that might help.

Hi
I am on JF 1.5.
I was wondering if it was possible to view uploaded albums on Picasa (Google Photo storage system) as i can upload them?
Any ideas most appreciated
Thanks
You can streamline updating by installing Picasa Uploader in the Market...It's free and written by Google.
As far as browsing online, my browser automagically takes me to an Android-optimized page at picasaweb.google.com/m/
If your browser doesn't do it automatically, try that address.

Don't bother with the Picasa app on the market....It will download, but not install. 1.5 has upload to Picasa built in when you press "share" on a photo.
To view, try the url that ohnoezmahfone posted.
My picasa albums are syncing to the gallery app but when I try to upload new pics it says account information can not be retrieved. I went into settings and checked and there isn't a specific picasa login, only the Google one. I suspect this is the problem. Has anyone found a way to upload to their picasa album from the native gallery app?
I think this is a problem with HoneyComb. I have tried other apps from Market, like QuickPic and Picasa Tool and they all exhibit the SAME problem like the Asus's Gallery app: uploading to Picas ALWAYS FAIL. The upload box is also the same throughout these applications, so I am sure any apps that have the ability to upload to Picas uses the same function call from HoneyComb.
I am seeing more and more issues with HoneyComb... boy, Google really was rushing the table OS badly.

What's the diatribe?
As a test after finding this thread, I clicked a pic I took with my TF, tapped the share icon, and it uploaded instantly to Picasa.
Picasa uploads work just fine!
Google took their time and made it right in this case. Speaking of case... case closed.

Can you try this: upload a pic residing in SD card?

Uploading to my Picasa album works from both internal memory and from my Lexar 32gb microsd, in case it's of any use I use the Prime! v1.4 rom and netformer kernel combination.
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA Premium App
I have the same problem and just gave up on this. It's definitely a bug, it looks like the Picasa Uploader (that can be used by other apps besides the gallery) fails to retrieve my account data. For instance, I cannot see the list of my web albums in the dedicated dropdown menu.
It looks like it only happens to some people here, but it's frustrating.
Also, on my Froyo based phone, Picasa uploading just works fine, and the Uploader does list my albums correctly.

Works just fine. I have no idea what you are doing wrong.
Simply put, I'm in gallery, tap pic, tap share, tap picassa. Select album, upload. (inserted an old sd card and used a pic that was still on it)
Stock US 3.1 here (US should be a given on a .com site )

I tried mine with stock 3.1 rooted, and have problem. Tried with Prime 1.5, have problem. The error I got is "Failed to authenticate". However, all my other app, like mail, gReader (RSS reader app) works fine. Also, the Gallery app CAN connect to my Picasa account and DOWNLOAD pictures FROM my account. It's just the upload that failed.
Maybe its the rooting? If Google CAN PREVENT rooted devices from renting movies from he Android Market, maybe they're doing the same thing for Picasa.
Same problem exists for me on 3.1
Hi there,
I'v updated to 3.1 and the same problem still exists for me. No difference, weather the pic is on the internal memory, or the pluged in SD card. Can't upload pictures to picassa!
Any further suggestions?
I had a similar problem with google docs
I tried numerous times yesterday and was not able to upload a document to Google docs using Polaris office. The message I received was unable to find the share. I tried this morning and it worked. Weirdness.

If you disable the Google Photo sync to remove Picasa albums, you loose Google+ upload photos function.
I have the same problem. I tried deleting some of the pictures straight from Picasa and now , where I deleted the photos I get blank spots in my phone's gallery . Also, as you stated disabling the sync seem not to work.
If somebody has found a solution we're waiting for an answer.

Use this one instead the original. First make backup of the original app, then push it with the ADB.
Can you please let us know what edits were made to this apk?

As long as you stopped Google photo sync, try clear cache in Google+ in setting will have picasa albums cleared.
I had this problem as well, after a bit of googling here's what I did and it worked for me (I was offline during this process!):
1. stop google photo sync in accounts & sync settings
2. go into the app drawer and drag the google+ app to the top where it says view app info
3. force stop it and clear data
4. do the same for the gallery app
after that I restarted the google+ app and restored my settings (keeping photo sync off when it asks you on startup of course) and the picassa albums were gone!
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
I unselected the photosync from account and mounted as USB. Then when to android folder and then to Gallery 3D. Then I went to cache and deleted the files that had picasa in it and unmounted the phone. Then went to gallery from manage apps and deleted data and cache and voila ! =)
1. Make sure your "Google photos" option in "Accounts and Sync" is unchecked.
2. Go to Settings > apps > All Apps > Gallery. Now hit the "Clear data" button
3. Go to Settings > apps > All Apps > Google+. Now hit the "Clear data" button
4. Go to the Gallery app and hit the menu key and refresh.
5. Your albums won't go away immediately. Patience.
I got same problem, here my solution,
Remove that account (after sync all contents you want).
Disable Sync.
Add your account back.
Enable Sync and then fast disable Google-Photo sync in that account.

Cheers, worked a treat!
Or
simply observe Sync 'on', delete album from g+, re-sync, turn off sync.
Any solution which doesn't include turning off Google Photo synch?
For normal galleries, adding a .nomedia file in the directory would normaly do the trick.
Does someone know where the picasa pics are stored in the phone? (they're accessible offline too, right?)
Hi all
I discovered this morning that when viewing album / photos through the stock gallery, under the "Share" menu, Picasa simply disappeared.
So, I can not send pictures to Picasa anymore.
Is this a known issue ?

I haven't done that for a long time, so I can't even tell if this function has been removed in 4.4 or 4.4.1 kitkat. The option to share to "photos" from the stock gallery is definitely not working, as nothing would happen when you select that option.
In the past I used an app called Picasa tools (an free app) to share photos to specific picasa folder.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=larry.zou.colorfullife
Thanks for your proposal
Anyway, I am nearly sure this option was there in 4.4 and vanished with 4.4.1... Too bad it was sooo convenient to be able to directly upload to the appropriate folder...
#ask
My cellphone has an error suddenly all of my social media get weird every time I want to upload a file, all files that are opened in the social media file manager get messed up, and the description of all files becomes (one date is October 17, 2022) which says "yesterday", all of them so "yesterday".
In the normal gallery, it's just that when you open Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, etc., there is one date for the photo/video data description.
The problem is that I don't know the keywords when I want to search on Google, so I ask here.
Thanks.
Detailed list of images in the gallery (short by time/date)
List details when selecting files on social media (chaotic, not short by time/date).
When uploading files, try using the same gallery app with everything. In this case Facebook tries to use the file manager recent files. Select your gallery app from within there and you will see it as usual

I'm still wondering with all this, is there a way to make all the time data back to normal as in the gallery or change the file manager used by Facebook?

No, I didn't change my rom and for the problem of updating my Android, it was updated a few days ago. For more information, photos on Facebook file manager that have captions (17 october) in the original gallery are different from Facebook

I remember trying https://stackoverflow.com/questions...the-files-in-android-phone-by-using-adb-shell . Then I tried to unlock OEM, and reboot the device using ADB.
And tried some ADB commands, like pull file
