I was running Revolver 3.11, but decided to return to stock in order to be ready for ICS. What I did is as follows:
Grabbed the .19 ROM (WW, I'm not sure where to get US) from [1] http://www.multiupload.com/X65RBVD2MB
Unzip that file, remove WW_epad-user-8.6.6.19.zip and place it on your MicroSD Card.
Reboot to CWM, flash that zip, when you restart you'll be on .19 - note: Flashing the zip will sit there for a few minutes looking like it is not doing anything - but it is! Don't panic.
After rebooting, use Razorclaw and gnufabio's RecoveryInstaller (Razorclaw is at http://androidroot.mobi/2011/11/14/introducing-razorclaw-v1/, RecoveryInstaller is at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1346180) to Re-root, and re-install CWM.
Download daoists's .23 WW CWM+Root ROM from [2] http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1334673 then place it on your microSD, reboot to recovery, and flash it.
Then, once you've restarted, get OTA Rootkeeper, run that, and you're good to go for a rooted ICS experience once the ROM drops.

Confirming this procedure working coming from Prime 2.1.1 on my European TF101.
Don't worry. It WILL take a long time booting after applying the .23 update. Just let it finish. Grab a coffee or something.
Just an FYI, If you have an issue flashing the WW .19 Update, make sure your CWM is up to date (You can use the version in RecoveryInstaller), or mount /staging manually.

Now wait for the update.
dont forget to wipe all caches, especially dalvik, I wipe thrice and then factory reset before flashing. Btw I have already had to do this to downgrade from 21 to root/flash so this post, while helpful, is not the first tut for this procedure.

I would follow the op method since this unroot method was done before the .23 update that broke root access..you will want to have the modded .23 update that keeps root so you are on the most recent version of honeycomb.

I did this on my TF101. No G. 8.6.6.19 still worked fine, and so did Razorclaw.
Just use the download links in OP and you will be fine.

you kan change you SKU to the official of you tabel, Download only the Official update File for you Tabel by Asus. and spend a littel time.
after max 2 minutes, is you tabel unrootet and back to stock rom and sku.
i have a Transformer Slider SL101, and it worked fine. but it ist needed after flash a factory reset.
Code:
- Hold down the minus-volume button (down) when booting
- Wait till the message about cold-boot appears
- Re-press Down to switch the icon from Android to 'WIPE DATA'-icon.
- Press Up and Press Up again to confirm.

This guide is for getting back to stock and keeping your root and CWM, not back to 100% unrooted stock. I'm sure your guide works too, but it is a little bit off topic.
Not everyone have nvflash and for those, when they have root, you better believe they wont let it go easily.
Anyone have the canadian firmware (not sure if its US or CN to be honest - going to go to a staples or something and look on one of the demo tablets )

Iirc someone on IRC said they had a Canadian TF101 unit and that WW worked fine for them. I cannot guarantee this 100% though.
Do you not have to go back to stock recovery (no CWM) in order to be able to flash the ICS OTA when it finally drops?
I am in Canada, we use the WW firmware. Just use the one linked in my post, it'll work fine

No, you shouldn't have to. I was able to flash the .19 firmware with CWM, though it DOES remove CWM, but RecoveryInstaller (should) put it back afterwards, provided you've kept your root with OTA Rootkeeper.

Great - wasn't sure - I did use WW firmware to go back to .19 (which was WW) but then I could not re-update to .23 via OTA. I had expected that that would happen but didn't. Not a huge deal at the time as I rooted .19, put on CWM and went to Prime 2.1.1 but now starting to think about ICS.

no, it does not keep anything, with this guide you going back to stock. it`s unrooted and cwm is going away.

I have got the OTA update that brought me to 8.6.5.21 from the 8.6.5.19 rooted.
So I decided to follow the downgrade-fix to 8.6.6.19
I live in Italy, so I use the WW version.
Is there a way to go back to the 8.6.5.21 stock rom and root with Nachoroot?

8.6.6.19 is for the 3G Transformer. Don't know the real difference.
If you install CWM and find a 8.6.5.21 rom it should be possible I think.
Don't know if you can install 8.6.5.21 the rom from the Asus site with CWM.
There are more threads on XDA to go back to stock.

I installed, but when I click on "Click to flash recovery", I get a reboot and the screen get crazy.

How did you downgrade? I'm having problems with .21 and deep sleep.
Finally I found a tutorial, in italian.
It uses a repacked ww Asus stock firmware, 8.2.3.13, and a stock Asus recovery image.
After getting the stock 8.2.3.13 I just upgraded thru the OTA update.
Now I am with 8.6.5.21 and just rooted using the Nachoroot guide.
And using Titanium Backup to restore all my applications and data...

After my thread for the TF101, here are my first repackaged OTA updates for the TF700:
First of all let me make this clear:
If you have root and want to keep it, use OTA Rootkeeper.
The original recovery is removed from the blob, so you won't lose your current recovery.
If after flashing one of these zips you still have the OTA update notification, do this:
Go to Settings -> Apps -> All and clear data from DMClient.
Current OTA 9.4.5.26:
US version:
us-9.4.5.22-to-9.4.5.26-TF700-CWM-v1.0.zip MD5: 2C6C763D0A7618E4AB4CB530D714F833
WW version:
ww-9.4.5.22-to-9.4.5.26-TF700-CWM-v1.0.zip MD5: E9597AD7C18483445A1F006D91A44C1B
IMPORTANT! If you deleted/changed some files, these updates will NOT work. These updates are meant for people on a stock rooted rom.

AFAIK cwm zips are compatible with TWRP.
It's a generic name which is supported by most recoveries.
(TWRP or CWM) As far as we are able to unlock our TF700... That not my case...
But it's a good news for those who can
Lizard, a better title would be "[ROM][FLASHABLE]" or something. People tend to get very confused when you say "CWM" because they think no other recovery can flash it .

To install NvFlash. I have 9.4.5.30, NvFlash will not install with this Rom version, it has to be before that.

You cannot downgrade from 9.4.5.30 to 9.4.5.26; the 9.4.5.30 bootloader and above accepts only signed bootloaders and the older ones are not signed.

You can no longer able to install nvflash once you already flashed above .26 version, like .30 and up. You're out of luck.

That sucks, I didn't flash .30, it came with it already installed. I'm used to flashing my phones, so it should be no problem flashing my tablet. Thank you very much for your help.
If you've flashed roms on other phones or tablets in the past then you should be fine. Just don't do anything crazy and you shouldn't brick it. I don't have NV Flash capabilities on mine, though I had the chance to but updated my bootloader anyway. Doesn't bother me as I'm not a dev and won't be doing anything crazy on mine. I've done plenty of flashing on many phones and the Asus Prime in the past, so I'm not worried about it

Just be careful to never choose "wipe data" in the bootloader menu without a working (compatible to bootloader) recovery, that is the #1 reason for hard bricks:

Yep, unlocked bootloader. The link you provided is what I've been trying to do. Just like the other person at the end of the thread, I get a signature error during boot and my recovery remains custom with TWRP. I'm not sure what the problem is, this is why I am considering nvflash.

If it's not working for you, you could try to downgrade to .22. Basically, download full .22 version, extract, renamed and copy to your SDcard then use twrp to flash.

you don't have to use nvflash for this,just download JB from Asus site and install with TWRP,done.Why you need o complicate your life?
Hmmm, I thought the process for getting to jb was to first upgrade to .30. From what I've searched through, I've only found instructions to upgrade to .30 by means of stock recovery. Is it possible to jump straight to jb from .26?

haha, I doubt that anyone here have tried to go directly from .26 to JB, You probably the first if you try. Why don't you twrp to .30 and let the OTA to JB? based on my knowledge, OTA upgrade one version at a time.
Perhaps I have some info wrong. I can install the factory updates with TWRP? I don't need stock recovery?

OK let start over. This is how i would do this:

I'm already on .26. Should I be downloading .30? Also, even though I have TWRP installed, the tablet should still pick up the fact that there is an update on the memory? Just a side note, I'm unlocked, so ota's will not work for me.

Sure if you want to, download .30. Tablet should pick it up, make sure you unzip it first. Yes, you're correct you have to upgrade using manual process. Every methods here on XDA are not 100% work for everyone (you already knew that). But it should work for most ppl.

Mate do you actually know what you are saying? The JB firmware from Asus site it's a full rom not just an OTA (incremental) update, this means you can update from any version (do you see any word from Asus saying you must be on. 30 before installing?) because everything will be updated (BL, Kernel, etc) so installing this with TWRP will get you Full Stock JB (yes, you will loose twrp too).

I'm not disagree with you! just saying no one here have tried to go straight before. The only question here is the bootloader between .26 and JB is different and why Asus pre upgrade to .30 before JB? IDK, maybe there is a reason, maybe not. Some how I think they need to prep the bootloader on .30 to be ready for JB? again I don't know.

My personal opinion on that is that Asus did this because they made a mess by letting people install TF300T Jelly Bean on TF700T (that should never be possible with locked bootloader and official firmware) so they updated the bootloader on .30 update so ppl could downgrade from that tf300t Jelly Bean rom.Maybe i'm wrong,but it does make sense and if i'm not wrong TF700T is the only transformer device that can downgrade from JB to ICS so easily.
Good news, I was able to flash .30 and now jb. I had no idea it was that simple. I thought I had to be back on stock recovery. Thanks for the help guys.

Guys you can just install the JB firmware from asus. Unzip, flash that file in twrp and boom straight from .26 to JB with no issues. It even keeps all your data.
pls i just go my tf700 2 days ago. with building number IML74K.US_epad-9.4.5.26-20120720,. i want to root and need jelly bean on it, but i dont know how to go about it. also i have no memory card yet, pls someone enlighten me on the steps.:crying:

First most important, you need to make a NVflash backup of your bootloader, BEFORE PROCEED to upgrade. This is very important, once you upgrade you will not able to do so.

So did you make a NVflash backup yet? if not you shouldn't proceed. So your device haven't found any OTA update when you check for update in settings -> about tablet-->check for update?

Let do one step at a time. NVflash is very very critical, once you upgrade you will not able to do this. NVflash backup help you to recover from a soft brick situation. After you done with NVflash, here is how to manual upgrade to JB.
1) Download the .30 verion firmware from Asus site (make sure if you in US, you should download the US version of .30)

2) Extract the .zip file somehwere on your desktop (the result will be another .zip file,use it for step 3)

1. Yes, if you DON'T want to UNLOCK to root your device. Once you're on .30, you root then use OTA root keeper to save root then upgrade to JB.
2. If you went straight to JB, then you need to unlock in order to root. This will be more complicate, since you need to install custom recovery, fastboot and SDK.

Unlocking allows you to run custom rom and making nanodroid backup using custom recovery (2 main reasons for unlocking)

Most of bricking caused by operators' errors, like using the wrong recovery, wrong bootloader/wrong version for the rom etc.., but if you careful, by doing search and ask first then it's pretty safe to flash custom rom.

i hope i am not disturbing you. but assuming based on from .26 i want to root, upgrade to jb and also custom ROM, whats the process? is it the same process?

None at all. Let assumed you did the nvflash (backup your .26 bootloader). The simple process would be, download full .30 rom from Asus site, place on root of your external micro SD card or internal SDcard, boot into stock recovery and flash it. Next root your device, then download OTA root keeper to save your root. Let OTA upgrade your device, if OTA is not working, then manually upgrade to JB. Once on JB, use OTA root keeper to restore root. That's it.

Well, if you plan to run custom rom, you need to unlock and custom roms come pre-rooted, so you don't have to worry about losing root.

On your PC you need the following:
1. Android SDK (should comes with ADB and fastboot commands).
2. USB driver for your device.
You are going to use fastboot command to install custom recovery, or you could download Goomanager from Googleplay and install TWRP this way. Once you have TWRP/CWR, you boot into custom recovery mode (hold down volume down and power button), then find the custom rom then flash it, pretty straight forward.
I bought a used TF300T, 16GB

It has TWRP 2.4.4.0, JB 4.2 bootloader, and EnergyROM 3/28 10.6.1.8
Kernel 3.1.10-g59bc3cb
I was wondering if I should leave it alone, or restore it to factory. Is that even possible?
If I keep it as it is, how do I update?

You can restore it to factory by flashing a stock Asus blob in recovery (I recommend using the 10.6.1.8 ROM since that was the last one on your tablet). It will wipe all data, including whatever's on the internal storage. Once you get that set up, flash the OTA updates incrementally to avoid issues (there are only two updates to flash). You just have to download them (one at a time) and put them in /sdcard/ (that's where you start upon opening the file manager) -- be sure to unzip the downloaded file once, so you end up with another zip, and don't unzip that one. Reboot, and the tablet should notify you of an update. Repeat for the second update, and you should be exactly where you want to be.
All the blobs you need should be on Asus' website. If you need more help, there are lots of "how to flash back to stock" threads with instructions. Just read carefully, and if you decide to flash a custom recovery when you're done, DO NOT flash one with "-JB" at the end of it or you could brick your tablet. You will need a recovery that ends in "-42". Be absolutely sure, because there are 3 different bootloaders for the TF300, and flashing one from either of the other bootloaders will brick your tablet.

That part of the instructions requires the stock recovery, which you should have if you flashed the stock blob as per the first sentence.

You've flashed the stock blob in TWRP twice already? You're not flashing TWRP afterwards, are you? I've flashed a stock blob in TWRP, and I had the stock recovery afterwards. Are you rebooting into Android after you flash it?
I tried to flash, it failed....BUT this time it worked (??!!) lol.
Obviously I wasn't doing something right, but I have now. I installed 10.6.1.8, now on to the next in the normal manner.
