Can't send/receive texts on T-mobile HTC Sensation

Mobilicity says HTC Sensation isn't their phone so they can't help me.
So my calling and data both work fine, but I can neither send or receive texts. I've tried changing the service center number to both +16478000112 and +16478000106 but both do not work. The only time texting works is when I send a text to myself
So can anyone hazard to guess why this might be happening?

Have u tried the sim in another handset to rule out a Sim issue

SIM card
go to a t-mobile store and ask them to check it out. I remember someone had problems getting 4g and it was because the SIM card was old.

I just went to the store and they reset the signal and it worked... although the phone tech support said they did the same thing but when they did it it didn't work. Weird, but yes my SMS works now.

Wifi-Calling on Infuse

Did anyone try the Wifi-Calling app on Infuse ?. Its a popular app on T-mobile, i saw it on the vibrant & works great. I extracted it from the vibrant and installed it on Infuse. It didn't work. It force closes. May be our Infuse kernal wudn't support it.Btw- i am on Infused 2.3.3.
Any help/thoughts ?

Obviously, there's a simple reason.
It's a T-Mobile app ONLY. You need T-Mobile service for it to work, because it connects to their servers with your subscriber info.
tl;dr, It won't work without T-Mobile service.

Wifi calling
so if i unlock it i can use it?

You would need a TMo voice account to use this. Better option is to use SIP with many of the free clients on Android to make wifi calls. GB even has internet calling built in.

I tried with my friends T-Mobile SIM on infuse (my ph is unlocked). So my infuse is on T-Mobile service. I cud make regular calls and data too works fine, but still Wifi-calling app just force closes :-(.

Try GrooVeIP . I use ot to make wifi calls all the time

What? My wifi at home is as 'official' as any other network.

I got it to work on the Darky-ROMs. No point in making a new thread so here it is

I know there is a mod in the other section of the Infuse form to get this to work. It is to much for me to understand but maby it will help you.

i had issues with GrooVeIP and ATT, it caused weird echos on several roms on my phone, even if i used ATT to make call, it caused the phone to be unusable, i have it on my old nexus one with no sim card, no issues, anybody else see this?

[Q] SIM Error

Guys would appreciate any suggestions you have (I have searched this forum and Google without success).
My Desire S is constantly losing it's network connection, I get an x above the signal meter and if I reboot sometimes I get a SIM error (it thinks there is no SIM installed) but sometimes rebooting or toggling Airplane mode cures the problem.
I have had the SIM out, cleaned the contacts and reseated it, had the battery out for a couple of hours and factory reset the phone (which I assumed would reset the radio) all without success.
I have an S-OFF desire running a stock ROM.
I have tried another SIM in my phone which works fine, my SIM in another phone which works fine but my SIM in my phone not.
Cheers.

Replace the sim or use ur sim after few hours...had the same issue....got it fixed by not using the sim for few hours....

Thanks, tried leaving the sim out but no joy, have ordered new sim but that means no phone for four days. At least I know it's not the phone.

same happened to me with a faulty sim but went into the shop and replaced the sim straightaway problem solved

All incoming calls going straight to voicemail

This started happening 3 days ago.. My gf had to call me 8 times last night before she got through to my phone.. I don't know wtf is causing this but i'm pretty sure its not the phone or ROM. Also at times incoming texts come in late.. My apn is set correctly.. Any help would be appreciated

When I'm blocking someone its on purpose and I use call master. If there is a problem with connectivity I can reset the radio layer or reset the telephony service. This might be an idea just to have the ability reset the radios at different levels in order to clarify the problem

How do I reset the radio? And I do not have anyone blocked or call forwarding enabled

I use a call blocking app like call master or root call blocker. It allows in the setting to reset the radios individually.

Believe it or not removing the sim sometimes works as it registers/unregisters you from the network.

Just flashed stock radio and same issue.. Tried the Sim card removal twice last night too

edit----if nothing else helps try reflashing. If that doesn't work get new sim(no charge if you say it is defective ) make sure your reflash stock rom.
If that doesn't work, send in for trade under one year warrenty.

Yes im in canada on rogers network (rogers is only in canada) I flashed sky coke rom, before that was on quickwiz which i had no issues with

maybe that ROM had trouble with Rogers network. I would contact the developer and seek some sort of resolution

Went back to a rogers based rom and same ****... which leads me to believe it aint the ROM or the phone.. ****

Is it prepaid? I know sometimes prepaid have issues

No its a monthly plan. I called up rogers tech support and he had me change the network mode to gsm only and he tried calling and it went through, then hspa and same thing with data on.. went to gsm/hspa/lte auto and with data on the call went through fine.. as soon as I got off the phone, I tried calling my number and calls stopped going.. (put it back to gsm only and it started working even with data on, but when its on LTE with data on is when it starts screwing up) does that mean when its connecting to an lte tower its messing up? Is that my phone's issue or the towers? Is there anything I can flash to the phone to see if the problem goes away.. already flashed stock radio but didnt help

This is a known issue, at least in Canada with Rogers. It has nothing to do with what rom or Kernel you are using.
It appears that Rogers is having intermittent issues with the LTE network. It comes from the handoff between LTE and 4g when a voice call is received. After you hang up, you are supposed to go back to LTE automatically. But with this glitch sometimes the phone will get stuck and as a result you get no texts and calls going straight to voicemail.
You could try creating a new APN node for 3g/4g only and using that to see if it solves your problem while Rogers is actually becoming aware of the issue and fixing it.

Last night alone it took 40 minutes for a text from my wife's phone to arrive. And that was only because I turned my phone on and wifi kicked on!

Like the above poster says *228 is not meant for LTE devices, only 3g devices. Did you just purchase the phone? If so, dial 1-877-807-4646 from any other phone to start the activation on your line. The LTE sim must be activated separately as well.

I just reloaded PA because of some glitches and the phone said it failed to activate. I dont have any service at the moment.
