Nothing much but just tell you small thanks for your hard work for this community, Since i've got my first htc magic i had no clue how to deal with roms or android at all.
I've found ahmgsk on this forum and just added him to my gtalk and said "oh well, if i've a luck he will approve me" and guess what? he has.
since then he has teached me step by step about roms, about android explained me about radio, roms and helped me with many upgrades/downgrades and saved me from screw up my device as many would in this forum while trying change the radio or what so ever. he NEVER asked me to vote or review him. But after his decent help to me, a person he never knew or got anything from. I want just tell you, thank you for what you are and hopefully see you keeping up your great work at this community!

+1 i can only agree with that.. to bad that there is some idiots instead of getting a live spending thy're time on frustrating and annoying others.
thx to ahmgsk i have come along way with my sapphire too
and point i would like to mention to people here about ahmgsk. Even he has lost his Magic in the past december. He has still worked hard to bring the Magic owners the great roms, he has exchanged many of his must study hours to create roms and help people all the time.
He is a truely good person with good intentions, when he even lost his own Magic he didnt said "i lost mine, so i dont care of others" he kept working hard and every second he could borrow magic from some one, he used to keep and creating great things for everyone here!
Sorry but have I missed something regarding ahmgsk!? would someone be kind and filling me in what has happened?
i also want to thank ahmgsk for his hard work and great roms
i like his work he is one best in rom dev.but feeis sorry for what happen in his latest rom thread which was unfortunate.

I'm pretty sure if he left the community on his own accord, he's no longer interested and never will be.
I think we should be standing behind the devs who are still here and truly are dedicated to this forum.

I agree with all of you, except one or two. He for our did a great job only for our entartainment. You like it or not, this is the truth. It is truth that nobody put him to do that, but at least we can a little respect for his great work. I and probably most of you are waiting for him to come back.

guys... he deved on friend device... that one he dont have anymore how u whant him to dev without device ? he is a good coder... but its like u cant code on typewriter... anyway he did things because he like not because he needed...

Yeah, and a lot of people donated a lot of money for his nee Magic. Do you belive that he didn't get enough money (about 350$ for brand new)?? I belive he gets the money! But now he won't develop for us anymore. It is too sad, because he promise that new version will come at tuesday, then he said on friday, then on sunday and finally - no release for u f****s... OK THANKS for the "no release".

In fact it is not so dificultly to make roms by yourself guys. I am making my owns, when i am tired to wait somone to give me a good rom. Maybe i should start to recruit some donations and after 1 month develping will tell you - go away, i am tired? Good idea.... but i am not like the others. If i start to release modified builds, there will be no link for donations.

yes, I use his SuperHero1.5.
I'm very happy happy with this rom, it is the fastest one (with SenseUI) I ever tried (and I tried many)!
SuperHero2.0 would have been great, but ok, i can stick with SuperHero1.5 until htc releases the offical update.

hey robocik is pretty damn close with his robomix
its pretty premo - some DiS here and there - and ofc usb problem but its almost daily usable
on the otherhand, that is why I have 2 complete up to date donut roms ported which are suitable for daily use, and I was downloading from you LONG before I got frustrated with the roms around here, to have to make my own ports
to all the people that can live with bugs on a rom and use it, im not one of you - sorry

edit 2 : robonic got it working now -> this means my work on eclair rom and other heros roms b4 this all got wasted

U guys that come on the forum and start these stupid no substance threads where all u do is complain about how ****ty developement is on this phone really should save your breath!!!!!!! For one thing thats not the point of XDA! We are here to learn from eachother,encourage and help eachother, and work together for the common goal of making our phone all that it can be! U stupid mf's got the whole thing clogged with complaints and other non productive babble that is only discouraging to a noob coming here for the first time to see what were all about and see what they can do to their device. U all keep writing this bs and someone who is lucky enough to have this phone sees it and thinks they made a bad decision or that our forum is full of whinny pricks! it might now have any custom roms, but maybe if you would read instead of complain you would see that the MODS we have for the stock roms turn the phone into a powerful beast just like any other HTC phone, **** i just compared my phone to my homies HTC ATRIX 4g and mine is better then his with his custom roms
also, custom roms will be on the way probably mid summer to be honest
it might just be me but id rather get a phone with no DEV work and work on it myself then to be a whining baby and expect things done for me and complain when they are not

understandable not your cup of tea
voodoo sound fix is the only voodoo we have for the phone
a lot is more to come because one of the devs is about to have the phone to work on
and not just building codes blindly with no test
I am not complaining i just came from a over anxious group in the g tablet forum. I will say i started trying to port cm7 and with out the proper know how or doing it before i found the information on porting was not accurate so i stopped. Once the dev that is getting the phone to play with starts porting alot more will follow i know. Regardless with mod the phone is hella fast. Also want to state another mod to try is upping your vmheap to 64m made a huge diff with bali kernel and fugu tweaks.

Slow? You have to be kidding me. This phone blows my evo out of the water! I get 64 fps on neocore UNDERCLOCKED to 800MHz.

We don't know and he will appear when he wants. The thing is, we don't pay the devs anything so we can't do anything about it. There is no point in complaining that devs made empty promises, they don't owe us anything, what can we say? I feel it is also wrong to keep on spamming devs about kernel 3.0. Yes it may make a stable cm9. However, devs need the time and resources and it doesn't seem too easy to port kernels. So there is no need to pester the devs. Though fuss hasn't been showing his face, he may either be building something for us, or doing nothing, we can't do anything about it. There isnt much point in complaining about devs I'm afraid. Put yourself in their shoes...

Agreeed...i am spellbound to see vishal getting support as well as being criticised for asking UC team to help dhiru..but since vurrut has made a cm9 kernl..cant he actually help dhiru?? i hv not commented evn a single tym..theres no use adding fuel to fire..as far as fuss goes..m sad that people donate for somone and dat person goes on a leave.!!

Ha ha ha...poor i9100 s2 members ...!! Actually I am quite happy because when people were donating phone to fuss I almost did everything to convince people not to donate fuss as he is just a new in development. But as he had ported ICS sdk people were mad behind him for ICS development & everyone criticized me that time. And now look...where is fuss...!!! He made miui based on cm7 but all we know that JP007 did remaining 90% of work. Just few days ago he released an ICS sm9 based rom but u can clearly see that it was themed cm9 rom of Dhiru. Nothing new in that rom. Donation to fuss is a lesson to those people who dont want to look development history of a perticular developer & blindly believe who make fake promises.

Dont take me in wrong way but I am not agree with u. People are criticizing me because they feel that I am spamming the thread of UC kernel. But I only know one thing that we all donate a phone in expectation that developer will work on those thing for which phone has been donated to them. But if developer is working on something else then cant we have right to tell them what we want...?? Its not that we are paying for them for development. Its about promises & expectations of developer & people who donate them.

I said I will bring MIUI when I came to this device and of course most of the work was done by other people. I really would like to help you in CM9 but I never said I can manage it and I can not fix the bugs that are in it now. And its the same as always you guys can´t read clearly ^^ I said to the people in the S2G community I will bring them MIUI and there was not a word about CM9!

Thanx for intimating us. I think We should ask Dhiru as he is in touch with all developers who are working on cm9 & especially kernel 3.0. I will PM Dhiru about this.

Depens to the country... f.e. if the otheruser lives in germany its very cheap and I will pay it.
I dont know how expensive it is to ship one to india or something like this but its nit cheap

We need to make a correct decision this time, I mean a really proper one. Ask developers (especially Dhiru) who they think can really help in our phone development. And before sending the phone out, ask that particular dev whether he will really commit himself to the development, IMO it is better to have a committed dev rather than a recognized one but with a little time with our phone.
Btw, big thanks to Fuss for all the things that you have done to our phone, and I wish you future success with whatever phone you are developing into

It either means he will not run away with a phone donated to him because it's bad or he will not run away with a donated phone he doesn't even need. I think it's the 2nd one

Just see how dedication he has given to i9003 community..its countless...literally!
I am totally ****ed up and my phone is screwd.. My warranty got over. Still gave it in the service centre. Replaced the motherboard.. i had to pay 5000 rs.. Still problem persists.. Now they are asking to change the touch screen panel.. It costs rs 7000.. I cnt afford it.. :crying::crying::crying:

sorry bro but i loved my sl when i saw it first n my still in love with it.Samsung firmware has made it crap.I think many will agree

I think this is an awesome phone and Samsung is quite good as well. They are doing what makes good business sense for them, without breaking any rules or laws.

I see too much yawning here, and exaggeration...
Stock Latest UAE firmware is stable and smooth, but yes, it's Gingerbread.
Today CM9 alpha 10 was released, with noticeable improvements, and dhiru said CM10 will follow.
I had no problems whatsoever with the phone except lately when i dropped it from a window (1st floor) to concrete, this caused the plastic back to crack, it dropped straight so there was no screen damage.
So, it's a great phone, but YOU are not lucky.
Of course i have an S3 as a daily device, but i am still quite happy with the SL.
did they make you pay Rs 5000 for motherboard even though the problem wasn't fixed ?

Its really sad that ur phone is really screwed in a bad way. I dont know but my doubt is that samsung is charging u more than actual price.
Also no need to apolgise buddy for not donating. Money is only not a parameter to measure anyone's contribution for sgsl. You have always helped many members. I dont think so that u should leave this community because u dont have this phone anymore. Still u can help members & enjoy dhiru & other developer's work

Though your hands on experience with sgsl would have ended, but still you'd be possessing a lot of knowledge about procedures to be followed, issues that pop up and their solution.
Keep sharing, and helping other users.

Hello Everyone,
After using this phone for 2 years, I finally made my decision and sold off the Galaxy Sl.
I shared the same excitement, hope and despair with all you guys in the community during this time.
The development has stagnated for this phone. I am saying this and it is in no way decremental of the efforts of all the great Dev's, Rom Developers and Modders who had given so much to this phone. But they can only do so much without much help from Samsung.
A big thanks to everyone in this forum and the ones who have left, for all the helpful posts. It is an appreciation of the informative posts in this forum that in my 2 years here, I hardly posted a Question, since the answer was already always there.
I did my bit in helping others. I am always available through PM. If during these 2 years, I had hurt the feelings of some of you guys, I would like to tender my apology.
I brought a Nokia Lumia 920 and already have an Xperia ION. I am currently active in the Xperia ION forum.
Also, I would like to hand over the ownership of the my Cf-root thread to any one who is willing to take it forward.

Lumia 920 is great phone but i9003 is best I think u should have to wait for few moew days. Dhiru now has almost fixed everything on CM10.1 with kernel 3.0. Only screen tearing, SOD and hw acceleration is remainong. Remaining else everything is fixed
Anyway we will surely miss u especially I will surely miss u. In every donation u helped with free hand, wherever I was wrong u pointed out very politely Dont leave this community. Just be in touch with us. Anyway do u have fb account?? If yes plz pm me. We will fun togather on our i9003 FB page

I have already sold it. 2 years is a long wait and was a hard decision. But you always have to move ahead and be with the times. Have some nice memories of things we have done together and I don't use Facebook.
