sorry bro but i loved my sl when i saw it first n my still in love with it.Samsung firmware has made it crap.I think many will agree

I see too much yawning here, and exaggeration...
Stock Latest UAE firmware is stable and smooth, but yes, it's Gingerbread.
Today CM9 alpha 10 was released, with noticeable improvements, and dhiru said CM10 will follow.
I had no problems whatsoever with the phone except lately when i dropped it from a window (1st floor) to concrete, this caused the plastic back to crack, it dropped straight so there was no screen damage.
So, it's a great phone, but YOU are not lucky.
Of course i have an S3 as a daily device, but i am still quite happy with the SL.
did they make you pay Rs 5000 for motherboard even though the problem wasn't fixed ?

I have been seeing alot of people to donate tj_style from a couple of months ... but just can't understand where the whole money is goin.... galaxy mini owners were donating him from a really long time... galaxy fit owners are donating himm now... plz somebody tell me that whether the money he get till now after so many donations wasn't enough for him to buy a new device or what....

Go through the galaxy mini forum and see the amount of development he has done for the device...and the money he gets from the donation is for the time and hard work he invests in development...why the hell would he use that money to buy a device when we want him to develop for our device....

that forum too, he mentioned some prob with his own galaxy mini and people were giving donations to him so that he cud buy that galaxy mini again and continue his developing....... at that time too... he hasng shown any positive post that this much amount is more needed or very less donations or donations are enough to buy a new gmini.... he never shared any news and the accepted donations blindly without informing the truth... at that time too people needed him... so they were donating..... and donations on the base of his work was very very less(actually very minute) if u noticef carefully.... and now... situation is making an image of him in my mind that he is a serious game planner.... afterall who knows truth except he himself..... so... i don't recommend at all that the members of this forum should donate him..... coz how wud he know that how much money he collected from this forum n what else he collected on the base of his development.... there is no system like u can mention that u r donating him on this reason.... u can only provide feedback... n I believe making him buy our device for our benefits is like bribe-ing him....

lol.. all galaxy mini donation that sent to my paypal account is useless now.. i can't take the money because my account status is limited. should i post the screenshot in here?
and do you think what benefit for me to accept device and donation to me for developing the device?
developing 1 device that mean i should share my work and family time to developing that device.
what the benefit for me? i have primary device, for daily use. so device from donation is useless, i just use that device for testing purepose.

I recommend a mass SMS to his mobile phone by all members of i9003 community should be enough with a get well soon message and prayers and wishes alongwith their names !
Let me know when someone is able to arrange for his number. I have had no luck so far !!
Once the number is arranged a mass sms by everyone from all over the world should be enough to bring back a person to life and to the world of living !!
Because his message is on a very sad note and it does not bode well for his health !!

That is what I also want !!! But sadly with all the surgeries and trauma he had to undergo a few months back and recently in the past month has really shaken up his body !! And it really saddens me....
My eyes are still red and I know partially the kind of mental and physical pain he might have had undergone and he night hce to undergo ....
I just hope this ordeal gets over and he returns home to his family and to us healthy and happy !

Rex I have been the same situation one year ago and I was transferred to different hospitals for cure with few chance to survive.
But finally I am getting healthier and healthier everyday now.

NOOO! KKRRAAZZYY!!! YOU TOO!!! recently there are many i9003 leaving... but now, we have lost one of the greatest theme maker as well as a modder. but we will continue your path into leading this phone to its full capacity.
but i might not go long with this phone as well. after my phone breaking down on internal sd & motherboard, i might need to buy a new one instead. it still has warranty but the receipt has been misplaced here at home. buying a new one might be a better idea than paying alot to change the motherboard.

Secondly, there's no cause for resentment. This confusion is much expected and natural, more so considering the fact that we have "received" ICS in such a unorthodox way! There's no harm in discussing problems and bugs. ROM and other development projects can't wait for Sammy!
I admit that this sudden development of events has led the forum into a frenzy, but this is only going to be temporary.:fingers-crossed:
As far as the current trend of creating threads haphazardly is concerned, I suggest we have a few centralized threads with proper OP instructions instead of a bunch of these repeating the same topic again and again!
I guess our moderator could help in cleaning up the forum a bit with the help of few senior members.:good:

Should say the initial hiccups of unclear sky towards ics rom and other issues might have made him think so. we're almost there on finding a safe way to come back to gb from ics and prevent any hard bricks. Might be we're(galaxy Royale) gaining more attention every day compared to the past.

In fact, you guys have pleasantly surprised me with how cool, calm, collected and on-topic you have remained at this exciting time. I think that's a testament to just how well you guys work together.
I think there's always going to be a little 'fear' when new software arrives: 'what bugs does it bring?', 'will I brick when flashing?', 'what if performance/battery life are worse?' etc. These are a natural part of updates, and do cause people to hold back and go quiet a little, for a while. Same thing happened in SGS2 and Note forums, especially after discovery of the eMMC_CAP_ERASE bug - that scared a lot of people off.
In short, I really don't see the shift in dynamics that the OP alludes to. You're still a great forum, you work well together, and your RCs are among the best I've had the pleasure of working with so far. Keep it up, because it's very impressive :good:

Hello Everyone,
After using this phone for 2 years, I finally made my decision and sold off the Galaxy Sl.
I shared the same excitement, hope and despair with all you guys in the community during this time.
The development has stagnated for this phone. I am saying this and it is in no way decremental of the efforts of all the great Dev's, Rom Developers and Modders who had given so much to this phone. But they can only do so much without much help from Samsung.
A big thanks to everyone in this forum and the ones who have left, for all the helpful posts. It is an appreciation of the informative posts in this forum that in my 2 years here, I hardly posted a Question, since the answer was already always there.
I did my bit in helping others. I am always available through PM. If during these 2 years, I had hurt the feelings of some of you guys, I would like to tender my apology.
I brought a Nokia Lumia 920 and already have an Xperia ION. I am currently active in the Xperia ION forum.
Also, I would like to hand over the ownership of the my Cf-root thread to any one who is willing to take it forward.

Lumia 920 is great phone but i9003 is best I think u should have to wait for few moew days. Dhiru now has almost fixed everything on CM10.1 with kernel 3.0. Only screen tearing, SOD and hw acceleration is remainong. Remaining else everything is fixed
Anyway we will surely miss u especially I will surely miss u. In every donation u helped with free hand, wherever I was wrong u pointed out very politely Dont leave this community. Just be in touch with us. Anyway do u have fb account?? If yes plz pm me. We will fun togather on our i9003 FB page

I have already sold it. 2 years is a long wait and was a hard decision. But you always have to move ahead and be with the times. Have some nice memories of things we have done together and I don't use Facebook.
