Stock Rom Rooted - Samsung Galaxy S (4G Model)

What's the stable stock Rom out there which is rooted and has better battery life.
Don't know why but battery life on the stock Rom sucks.

You just want one that looks stock but is modified? Go with ravers octane v3, thank me in the morning

Neither?
Right now, they both have noticeable issues. If studying the forum doesn't lead you to flash something you can't live without then it might be to wait a some more stable build(s).

I"d say Continuum v5 because it feels a hell of a lot smoother and there's not really a real threat if you follow directions i flashed continuum in about 10 minutes and battery life is better than most.
CM7 is rarley updated and isnt even in a release canidate stage yet.

Nexus S I/O speed improvement script

Hi,
I saw a thread in the development forum few days ago. It was about a script which improves the io speed but the thread is away. I think it works for all hummingbird devices and the original thread is in another forum but I can't find it.
It would be very cool if somebody share the link.
Thanks

It was deemed as it wasn't necessary. If you want faster I/O flash a rom and kernel that has these tweaks. Such as CM7 and Trinity kernel.

Nah, the stock kernel has all kinds of bugs. Root + an efficient kernel is always better than stock battery life.

Oxygen vs Deck

Which one is best for unbloat and battery life?
I looked at videos and reviews but none show which ones have more unwanted apps removed.
The time you used doing that you could have flashed and tested the roms.
Oxygen. The first rom I flashed when I got my phone and its great when you get a deep idle kernel

A good one would be either franco.Kernel or matr1x.

I've run several ICS ROMs since getting my NS and I would definately concur that Codename is fantastic. They're on 1.4 now I believe.
I would definitely try Air Kernel by r_data as well. Its so smooth. Best I've tried yet.
