[Q] PPPoE in nexus 5 android 4.4.2

Hi friends, I am trying to use wifi over PPPoE connection mode on my my rooted nexus 5 running android 4.4.2. I have tried an app called wifipppoe on play store to connect to my wifi. It displays a successfull connection message but I am not able to browse internet on it.At the same time, my samsung galaxy grand duos i9082 running android 4.1.2 is able to successfully connect to the wifi using this app. Does nexus 5 supports wifi over PPPoE ? Do I have to install any custom kernel to get this functionality on my Nexus 5....Please help.... Many thanks.....
some DNS problem..
Hi Friends, I have found out a new result. After successful connection to my wifi using wifipppoe app, I can ping 195.249.80.32 OK but if I try to ping google.com it answers unknown host. Also, when i type 195.249.80.32 in my chrome browser, it opens the google site. But if i type google.com, it doesn't open.
So I sense some DNS problem here. Any ideas or suggestions on how to fix it.

Found any solution? My girlfriend has the same problem with her nexus 4 with kitkat.. her old phone, galaxy w, could connect without any problem (PA jelly bean 4.2 with pa kernel).. I'm hoping that it's a kernel problem, maybe some drivers or modules are missing.. I try to use hellscore and franco kernel but no result..

Did you tried use static addressing instead of DHCP in the wifi settings?
You can try to setup your ISP DNS there.

[Q] Android M Carrier Settings customization for Wifi Calling testing

Hello,
I have installed Android M on Nexus 5 with root access. I would like to customize the carrier settings for native VoWifi/Wifi calling. I would like to point to my test lab but I cannot find any information how to modify configuration parameters for Wifi calling. I'm looking for the configuration parameters for ePDG, P-CSCF.
Please advise on how to modify these parameters please ?

SmartView not work after root on Android10

Hello guys! SmartView (screen mirroring) function don't work after root my phone (twrp+magisk) on Android 10. I know in Android 9 pie need to edit build.prop in system folder and add this line: wlan.wfd.hdcp=disable. Okay. But in Android 10 how? THX !!
The solution: with another file manager (eg: Root Explorer 4.7 Speed Softver Ltd) I have permision to mount read/write the system particion (root needed), and edit build.prop and add in the last line: wlan.wfd.hdcp=disable Save file and quickly restart the phone. SmartView works!
hello
hello friends on my phone after root with (twrp + magisk) already added the line wlan.wfd.hdcp = disable with build.prop it detects the tv but when it connects it has an error it says smart view it stops working and the connection to it drops tv what solution is there for this ???
Working but not working
Hi thank you I have finally managed to fix the screen mirroring option but when using "veiw tv on phone" the screen is black and has no sound. Is there a way to fix this?
Thank You
This method worked on my rooted galaxy s10 SM G975F
Hi Guys. It is working with Samsung Galaxy tab s2 (rooted/android7).
worked for galaxy s10 G973F
Hello, it's work for a s10 with Android 11.thanks a lot.
Verified works on a rooted Note 20 Ultra/Android 11. I didn't know where to find the build.prop file so installed Buildprop Editor from the Play Store and pasted the line in the text for it to work. Thank you! I'm using my Note 20 Ultra to teach music from to my students and was casting hard wired. I now can move anywhere in my classroom and teach! Epic!
Works fone with galaxy s20 and Android 11
Thanks
I am still on android 10 with Magisk 23.0 . I ended up installing Smart View 5.0.71. TV to phone does not work but Phone to TV works well. You don't have to play media thru an app either. What show on your screen is what comes up on the TV. My TV is Samsung so you have to give permission on the TV to allow the phone to connect.
Hello, it's work for a Galaxy a51 with Android 12.thanks a lot.
