The Greek insider who revealed first the official specs of iphone 4S (when most people were talking about iphone 5) and Galaxy Nexus (when lot of people were talking about d-core 1.5 or quad core or Nexus Prime or 8MPX etc) give us some minor details of the upcoming HTC smartphones.
- Introduce 27feb in MWC
- Market Launch in April
- HTC Edge and HTC Zeta
- Both with Quad-Core Tegra 3
- Both with 720P display

Just wondering what phones people are MOST looking forward to seeing soon and if could have now what they would want. My top choices are....
The New Xperia X2 with its 512 Ram (supposed) and 8.1 MP Camera and custom WM 6.5 with upgrade to 7 rumors
http://gizmodo.com/5282146/sony-ericsson-xperia-x2-specs-leaked-and-laid-bare
Or
The New tablet/Smartphone Nokia N900 with its maemo interface including custom mozilla web browser possibly fennec? And The built-in 32 GB storage with Expandable upto 48GB card and only 256 mb ram to power it all. Along with the 5 megapixel camera and TV out
http://maemo.nokia.com/n900/
Or
The Flashy FLuid and Fast tegra powered Tegra APX with probably the nicest ui possible and whats said to put the 1ghz snapdragon processor to shame with Up to 720p video
http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_tegra_apx_us.html
http://www.nvidia.com/object/mobile_games_demos.html
Or Last but not least
The rumored HTC Leo with the new snapdragon processor and 1ghz mobile processor and its Hero-ish TF3D 2.6 Rumored 5 MP camera (possibly 8mp??) and 320mb ram
http://www.slashgear.com/htc-leo-specs-leak-4-3-inch-capacitive-wm6-5-snapdragon-smartphone-2149867/
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igRA...ovingly-demonstrated/&feature=player_embedded (video of a diamond 2 but it is running the tf3d 2.6 leo is rumored to come with)
My choices lean towards Either the APX or the n900 love the nokia internet tablet series have for years and with mozilla combining with them to take over the internet experiance (although they are workign with windows mobile too) Or the APX just looks so smooth and that eye candy can't be denied only concern is call quality and battery life anything running a processor that powerfull can't last long although rumored for 10 hours.
As far as i know all these phones are rumored to hopefully be release late this year if all goes right is there any updates on release dates i know preorder is out for n900 preorder price of $649 in the us
Anyone have any info on the xperia x3 android phone heard a few things but no info and i don't understand the release of the x3 when x2 isn't out till supposedly early oct this year.
http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2009...achael-to-launch-as-xperia-x3-specs-revealed/
These all seem nice but I'm definitely going to try the n900 looks very fast and has a very nice looking U.I and I'm waiting impatiently for a tegra based phone
All very impressive...
I'll be getting the HTC Leo due out in a few weeks, and hanging out on XDA for cool mods, roms, etc.
lol..no brainer here. I am getting the N900. No more sony x1 crap and any sony phone for that matter. BAD Customer support...
yep n900 for me too - need a break from winmo, it feels tired now
I´ll choose Leo
As will have the support form this great site
for sure HTC LEO or TEGRA as it is also rumered that HTC will use tegra based chips for later phones... both are great...
im with you im thinking tegra that chip is way beyond ANYTHING else out. Have any of you played with the zune hd? add tons more sensors a keyboard possibly and 3g connection... i can't see anything better personally
anyone news about the Tegra-chipset & HTC?

Zune HD is impressive! But, I have not heard any more rumors on a htc tegra ppc...
I am trying to make a decision today since the release of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus was rumored to be pushed back until December and HTC Rezound was in fact released today.
Anyhow, I want to choose the phone based of pure performance disregarding the operating system (Galaxy Nexus is the first Android 4.0 phone). Also, many people prefer the Nexus and answers unfortunately become biased. Please try to have unbiased responses. =]
Samsung Galaxy Nexus
CPU: TI OMAP 4460 dual-core (under) clocked at 1.2GHz
GPU: Mali400MP
HTC Rezound:
CPU: S3 Qualcomm MSM8660 dual-core clocked at 1.5 GHz
GPU: Adreno 220
I have been looking up multiple comparisons but all are inconsistent with each other.
long story short, the G-nex will perform better.

I'm really excited for its launch here in Brazil. It should be coming really soon (first quarter, or so the rumors says).
I will keep the business in the family
ME WANTZ ACE 2
Herpderp Defy.
Need to save money for it
No idea when it will come in India.

Galaxy R (Dual-core 1Ghz ARM-Cortex A8/9 with Tegra 2)
LG Optimus 2x (This one is obvious)
Motorola Defy (I think it's not sold anymore - TI OMAP 3630 Dual-core 800Mhz with PowerVR SGX530)
Galaxy S Advance (Not very sure about phone specs)
Nokia Lumia 808 Pureview (Don't get me started)
Herpderp Defy.
Thanks man. Had a quick look at your suggestions:
R is bigger (i personally find Ace size optimal for a phone rather than PDA) and more expensive (another £60), so the Ace2 = more bang for buck.
Optimus, very similar, better spec(?) - dislike the 4 hardbuttons layout.
S Advance appears to have 1ghz dual core. But at this stage looks like a 295£ phone.
Wouldn't touch a Nokia smartphone.
Ace 2 it is then!
The new acepta Its really Cool !! ;D

The 2x is almost similar to the R , with Tegra 2 as well
Herpderp Defy.
More suggestions:
Samsung Galaxy W (Probably a smaller version of Note)
Galaxy Note (Quite huge)
Galaxy SII (everyone's favourite)
Galaxy Ace Plus (LOL it's not that bad)
HTC Sensation XE/XL (XE = beats , XL = bigger screen)
HTC Edge (is it out yet ? Lol)
Motorola Defy+ (An upgraded version of my phone)
The badass Xiaomi phone (LOL)
Samsung Focus S (WP7 variant of SII)
Herpderp Defy.
Note really is massive.
W is a good equivalent, but prefer dual-core.
Sensation is another 100£ more. S II another 200£
Edge seemingly not available yet.
Xiaomi doesn't look too bad at all!!! - http://www.engadget.com/2011/09/27/xiaomi-phone-review/
Defy+ 4 buttons, sorry just not for me.
Ace + should be Ace pointless.
Focus S is a Windows phone...aka yuck.
Sony solo. 3.7 bravia screen. 1ghz dual core. 5mp camera. Floating touch (just move your finger over the screen). Will get ics.

Solo or Sola? http://mobilesyrup.com/2012/03/13/sony-makes-the-xperia-sola-official/
1gig dual-core with a 1350mah battery sounds...interesting.
And guess what....this is a succesor season.S2 gets a successor--The samsung Galaxy S3...behold.The 1.8 Ghz Quad core processor phone...Now available as pre-order:
The Galaxy S III will come with a 4.6-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1280. This means a ‘retina’ quality pixel density of 319ppi.Specifications include an Exynos 4212 quad-core 1.8GHz processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 12MP rear facing camera, a 2MP front facing camera and 4G LTE connectivity. It will also have version 4.0 of Samsung’s TouchWiz interface and we understand that it will run Google Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
My ACE is better than all phones
Other phones sucks! GO AHEAD GALAXY ACE!
Hi, I am familiar with this forum but I have never posted anything. Ok anyways I just ordered a Chinese knockoff phone called the Hero 2000+ of the Iphone 5, it comes as an android os instead of the ios. The reason I ordered this was to experiement with it, plus I like how the Iphone looks but dont care for the IOS. So I know MIUI makes a custom rom with an Iphone theme, so my question is can this be installed in a chinese knockoff? I would love to have the best of both worlds.

I've got mine 3 weeks ago already... happy with it so far
Hi. Does this have play store preinstalled? Is there any multilanguage rom?
OK, so as we all know, unlocking a phone is illegal now. So that brings us to this. What options really are available if we want an unlocked phone? Are they practical? I personally enjoy having an unlocked GSM Handset, it allows me to search for optimal phone service without any commitments. But let's be honest, there's not much of an unlocked smartphone market right now. And that frustrates me.
So I would like to compile a list of GSM handsets that I can buy factory unlocked in the US. I hope others find this to be a good idea. I'm going to be sorting it by release date, whether it's still in production, and what country the brand originates from. I'm only going to include handsets with a dual core at least for this moment. I feel like most people prefer at least a dual core, and it would be hard tracking down handsets from before then.
Only factory unlocked handsets! Nothing with carrier branding in the stock ROM! This allows the pricing models to be very accurate, and to ensure the buyer gets the handset the way it is manufactured to perform.
Here's what I have so far -
American Brands:
Google:
Google Galaxy Nexus (Samsung i9250) - November 2011 - Out of Production - Dual Core
Google Nexus 4 (LGE E970) - November 2012 - In Production - Quad Core - $299.99/8GB, $349.99/16GB
BLU Products:
Blu Vivo 4.3 - July 2012 - In Production - Dual Core - $219.99
BLU Vivo 4.65 HD - December 2012 - In Production - Dual Core
BLU Tank 4.5 - February 2013 - In Production - Dual Core
BLU Studio 5.3 II - February 2013 - In Production - Dual Core
BLU Quattro 4.5 - February 2013 - In Production - Quad Core (Tegra 3 SoC)
BLU Quattro 4.5 HD - February 2013 - In Production - Quad Core (Tegra 3 SoC)
BLU Quattro 5.7 HD - February 2013 - In Production - Quad Core (Tegra 3 SoC)
Apple:
Apple iPhone 4S - October 2011 - In Limited Production - Dual Core - $549.99
Apple iPhone 5 - September 2012 - In Production - Dual Core - $649.99/16GB, $749.99/32GB. $849.99/32GB
Asian Brands (Non Import):
Sony:
Sony Xperia Z - January 2013 - Coming Soon! - Quad Core
Sony Xperia ZL - January 2013 - Coming Soon! - Quad Core
Help me expand this list! I'm already planning on expanding the section above this line to include Sony and Samsung handsets. Then I plan on adding an import section for Meizu, Xiaomi, and Oppo, among other brands.
Good initiative
Just checking this isn't a lost cause... in anyone else interested in this list?
To update and hopefully give some life to this, today HTC announced a developer version of the One. Qualcomm 600, 1.7GHz Quad Core Krait CPU, Supercharged Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB RAM, 64GB in house storage, Android Jelly Bean, Sense 5.0, Beats Audio, and 1080p packed into the screen. That's gotta be around 450ppi which is liquid sharp. Totally unlocked bootloader and SIM slot.
- $650
Also the BLU Quattro HD is up on Amazon Prime for $350. Same price as the Nexus 4 16GB but ummm, I guess if you want a Tegra 3 device from Amazon or a smaller screen there's some advantages.
I'll keep posting when I discover more.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
I don't have any such list though but a good post though.
Thanks!
I've never posted on xda before, but I'm sure this information will be helpful. I own a Blu Quattro 4.5 and I was little sceptical of buying from such an unknown brand, but fortunately I was able to root it with the bin4ry root tool. There's still hardly any support for it, but it's a damn good start. I also have been kind of following Blu on facebook and I read that they will be starting a dedicated customer service for American customers in early April. I have high hopes they'll release an update to Jelly Bean around then as well as alleged by retailers (one of the reasons I bought it). Hopefully with this info, developers will start to look at it and help this phone reach its full potential. I would get started myself, but I have only the slightest clue on where to start.
