RootzWiki?
Only issue I'm having with your build is that wifi sometimes gets very weak, and even disconnects while I'm not using the phone.
I was just gonna post that my wifi is almost always at full bars where on most other roms it would have 1 to no bars

Yeah same here. I'd have full bars then out of nowhere it'd go down to 0. You're on his most recent Galnet build right?

Yes yes I modified the wifi sleep policy and some net settings You can edit your build.prop on your phone and change the values maybe a scan interval of 100 and sleep mode 0, these tweaks are designed to save battery.
Code:
wifi.supplicant_scan_interval=180
pm.sleep_mode=1
And for /system/etc/init.d/ heres some network tweaks i implemented i just added them to the file called 597ramscript. You can just remove these lines if you keep having problems
Code:
echo "0" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_timestamps;
echo "1" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_tw_reuse;
echo "1" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_sack;
echo "1" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_tw_recycle;
echo "1" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_window_scaling;
echo "5" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_keepalive_probes;
echo "30" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_keepalive_intvl;
echo "2048" > /sys/devices/virtual/bdi/179:0/read_ahead_kb;
echo "30" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_fin_timeout;
echo "404480" > /proc/sys/net/core/wmem_max;
echo "404480" > /proc/sys/net/core/rmem_max;
echo "256960" > /proc/sys/net/core/rmem_default;
echo "256960" > /proc/sys/net/core/wmem_default;
echo "4096,16384,404480" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_wmem;
echo "4096,87380,404480" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_rmem;
I am not having problems signal stregth is good it does disconnect from wifi calling after i step outside my door however maybe its not as strong but I live in a apartment havent noticed anything full bars on a netgear G router w/ wpa

Hi, I did the hardreset to clear out all the bloatware from my ATT Fuze and now I dont ever see the 3G symbol?
I do see the H symbol but not the 3G. Also on Cellular Video, I cant get it to play. It says that it is only available on 3g phones....but I know that is phone is 3g.
Did I do something wrong or do I need to activate something?
"H" = HSDPA/HSUPA is better than 3G (plain Jane UMTS).
As for the video, probably since you skip the AT&T cusomization, AT&T MediaNet setting is not added yet.

Carl, thank you for the explanation. It was on MEdia Net and I followed your steps to delete the UN and PW.
But it is still showing the same thing. Here is the screen:

Please help!
I do not know why, but when I connect Raphael via USB menu with different connection methods (ActiveSync, Drive, Internet Sharing) is not diplayed anymore. I don't recall installing anything weird or changing any settings. Just to ensure you all that the "Ask for the connection type" option is "Enabled".
Without this one, I can't use the phone as a modem!!!
I had the same problem and, even though the option is enabled in settings, I had to go into the registry, turn it "off" (set the disable bit to 1) and turn it back on again (set it to "0") before the popup came back. The keys are in HKLM\Software\OEM\USBtoPC
Or go to,
Start > Settings > System > USB Settings and check "Ask me first about USB connection..."

I'm pretty sure that's what they meant by this:

Thanks for your reply.
But I still can't get it to work properly. My settings are as follows:

I've tried to change the settings of "DisablePopUpUI" to "1" then restart, set it back to "0" and restart again, but with no luck

Hate to bump an old thread, but hyachts' solution worked for me (using Total Commander).
What did you do exactly? which keys did you change and what are all of them now?(considering the menu does popup now)
TIA
Hey Peeps!
I wrote a script to show you the device uptime.
I know there is software out there to do this already, but this is simple small and you dont need to install anything new.

What it does
1. when you boot your device it writes the current timestamp to a file \UpTime.log
2. Anytime after that when you run the DisplayUptime.mscr it calculates the difference between the BootTime and CurrentTime and then displays the results in the form of
x Days, x Hours, x Minutes, x Seconds
!NEW! - I added LastBoot date/time & Current date/time to message window and reformatted how the info is displayed
and thats it. It runs for a breif moment at boot up, and then again when you run the script. light fast effective. DERKIT!
enjoy.
copy the UpTimeLogger.mscr to your \windows\startup (or a .lnk to it works to)
and then run the DisplayUptime.mscr from anywhere.
Code:
#Contents of UpTimeLogger.mscr
StartupTime = TimeStamp()
WriteFile( "\uptime.log", StartupTime )
Exit
Code:
# contents of DisplayUptime.mscr

# Simple Show Me The UpTime script for windows mobile - helper file UpTimeLogger.mscr
# Author: copenhagen xda
BootTime = ReadFile( "\uptime.log" )
UpTime = ( TimeStamp() - BootTime )
LastBoot = FormatTime( "d/m/y h:i.s", BootTime )
CurrentTime = FormatTime( "d/m/y h:i.s", TimeStamp() )
days = UpTime / 86400
hours = (UpTime / 3600) - (days * 24)
minutes = (UpTime / 60) - (days * 1440) - (hours * 60)
seconds = UpTime mod 60
ShowStats = ( "Last Startup: " & LastBoot & "^CR^" & "Current Time: " & CurrentTime & "^CR^" & "^CR^" & "Device UpTime:" & "^CR^" & days & " days" & "^CR^" & hours & " hours" & "^CR^" & minutes & " minutes" & "^CR^" & seconds & " seconds" )
Message( ShowStats, "Device Uptime" )
Exit
(excellent)
Thanks a lot for sharing
hey could you please tell me how you got the transparency on the very bottom? also whered u get the top taskbar from? would be great but shouldnt you have given them credit for it cause u used a snapshot with their software on it? thanks a bunch! : )
also, i have already searched the forums extensively and i just could not find them....
Hi. Thank u for that. Is it possible to track only how much time device was in use and not on standby?
egor: it might be.. let me look into it a little. but no promises.
ahmedjhang: <- the transparency's are a combination of two programs.. 1 wisbar advance 4 (lakeridgesoftware) and 2. antworks wall paper changer. lol about the give credit thing. maybe i could thank htc too as the pic is being displayed on their screen. or the cat for posing for the pic. lolol
Excellent! I was looking for a code to display data and time, and came across this. Thanks for sharing this...you made my day easy!
I've owned 2 Chinese cheap Android devices now and both gave me a problem, so I am going to go out on a limb and say I'm not the only one. In fact I lie, I know I'm not the only one it plagues. The problem I get is that I don't get a data signal, I can make and receive calls and send and receive messages, It's just the data. Does this sound familiar to you? I searched high and low, through pages and pages of various language forums. So I've written this post to bring all my hours of searching together. The problem originates with my network. I'm in the UK and on Vodafone. They seem to be the only carrier in the UK that block the IMEI's that aren't the normal numbers, for example my UK devices all start with 35, but my Chinese devices start with 86. That's the problem.
There is 2 parts to my fix but you might not have to do both. Start with the first and see how you get on.
Fix 1
Go to settings > more... > Mobile Networks > then select the APN you are using, scroll down to the bottom and select Authentication, then select none. Make sure you save the APN. It might take effect pretty much immediately, but probably best to reboot.
Fix 2
This is a little harder but not to bad. Start by downloading an app from the market called Mobile Uncle. Once installed select IMEI backup. This will help if you incase you want/need to restore it.
Next select Engineer Mode > Engineer Mode (MTK) > scroll right to connectivity > CDS Information > Radio Information > Phone 1.

Click on the 'AT+' box to pull up the keyboard. Delete the + and it will show you some options click on 'AT+EGMR=1,7" ".
(I don't know how you choose your new IMEI, I never go that far into looking. I just chose a number from a device I don't use)
Type your new IMEI in between the speech marks and press SEND AT COMMAND. Wait a moment for confirmation then reboot your phone. If you want to need/want to do this for sim 2 then do the same process except when you select AT+, select AT+EGMR=1,10" " instead.
Fingers crossed your problems should be solved.
Hi all, I first have this error whenever I update or install new app. It'll show up the notification this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Then the sim lost its signal and lock my phone automatically. I'm not sure how to fix this, so I made a factory reset, however, the problem still persist.
Worst (at least to me), the lte does not working at all. I tried "search providers" both manually and automatically, restarted, re-plug the sim out but still not working.
I bought this phone international version; T-mobile sim.
Can anyone please help? Just bought this phone for 2 weeks and feel bad if this can't be solved.
Thank you.
Is your apn correct?

I cannot see what error you are getting but I will bet it has to do with Visual Voicemail.
Here is what to do for this error:
Go to settings > Apps & Notifications > App info > Phone > select "Force Stop > then select Storage > then Clear Cache > then Clear Data. Then get out of settings and open phone app > top right corner select three dots > settings > calls > Voicemail > there is the Visual Voicemail toggle....turn it off > then reboot. I was able to do a Play Store update and the error message is gone. Follow my steps to make it work for you.
As for LTE...how do you know you are not getting LTE? Remember that on this phone, international version, on T-Mobile that it will ONLY say 4G. This is correct. I have the same phone on T-Mobile. Also, when making a phone call it will drop to 3G for data while in the call...normal.
