well i know I won`t be only one who would love a status bar with more buttons on it for on/off network data for example and stuff like that ... and ofc with circle icon for battery lol or at least a battery in horizontal mode so the letter be a little bigger and easy to see, etc.
and saki 1`st take care of ur RC lol, btw you are doing fkin GREAT mate with that...keep up the good work!

because in order to get the flashlight button working you have to sign all apps in ur app folder (inclusive system apps) otherwise ur status bar will fc

Oh, cool! I want it too!

All that can be done with the Switch GOWidget.
I am using it myself.
It only fits 8 buttons though

well but thats boring
in my opinion its more useful to have these shortcuts in the statusbar!

I'm not disagreeing with you. It would be more useful indeed.
I would try it myself if sakindia123 is kind enough to do it for us.
Was just presenting an option for people until that is done, and because tastes differ

sent from my GT-I9001 powered by CraniumROM RC7-1.92 OC/UV using tapatalk

I was trying to search that all day long, and I didn't know which keywords to use, it was giving me some random results. So it would be lovely if somebody did it! All that I need is the data switch, cos I really have no idea why it's not there by default, that's my most used option, I think.
And yes, I know it's in the lock menu, but it's annoying going there all the time. and since I don't use widgets in Espier Launcher, I'm definitely waiting for this!

Ok!! here we go downloaded the butoons status bar from the site, after learning little chinese,
First unzip all files and copy in your sdcard.
Then copy lidroid-res.apk to /system/framework/
after copy QuickPanelSettings.apk to /system/app/
again copy SystemUI.apk to /system/app/
and Last copy framework-res.apk to /system/framework/
Thats it phone will restart and You have the status buttons.

Thanks for this! For which ROM did you build this?
Bootloop in my case (Cranium RC8 ROM: XXKPS with ICS theme).
By the way, the following files didn't exist in my case:
remote object '/system/framework/lidroid-res.apk' does not exist
remote object '/system/app/QuickPanelSettings.apk' does not exist
Regards,
Nika.

I did it and it worked in my phone ...xkp6 ...deodexed....But also works in all other relase xkp3..xkp7..xkps ect..... like they say!!!!
For the 2 files there seem to be the new files that make status bar work....
P.s. i didnt build it i just downloaded it and did same as i wrote step by step, last copy should be firmework-res.apk... You may recive many Fc but dont worry just keep copying file by file same as this:
copy lidroid-res.apk to /system/framework/
after copy QuickPanelSettings.apk to /system/app/
again copy SystemUI.apk to /system/app/
and Last copy framework-res.apk to /system/framework/

[CUSTOM ROM] "THE BLUE" by ABHI uploaded.....finally

hey everyone.
see the screenshots...
due to demand of my rom and people liking it, i had to upload its files here..
though was not able to make the rom.
hope you like my work..
changes:
1. well everything from a to z in looks changes......
2. REBOOT OPTION IN POWER MENU
finally its done i have added reboot to power menu and its working great..
just trying also to add recovery and download options.. cheers
here is the rom: DOWNLOAD:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5K29G62U
the blue rom is uploaded.....
please follow instructions...
1. these are deodexed apps so use them in deodexed rom only, [though some apps can be used in non deodexed rom also , but try at your own risk..
well the max that can happen is that the phone wont go past samsung logo, but still be flashable]
2.the folder system app contains the files that needs to be transferred to system>app folder using root explorer.
3. the folder system framework contains files that needs to be transferred to system>framework folder using root explorer.
4. data local has the bootanimation of nexus one so transfer it to data>local folder by root explorer.
BUGS:
has one bug as far as i know
1.during making call to someone the phone app shows that it stopped working and prompts you to force close. just dont force close carry on with your call , you wont have any prob..
if it bothers you dont replace the original phone app..(i.e. dont use mine if it bothers you)
rest all is fine.
* i havent really tested the android policy.jar file in system framework folder.
for reboot option . after i just made a change as said by lestat....
so try it.. if it doesnt work, then remove the file and place the android policy.jar original file..
*i am not responsible if you brick your phone
it worked for me very well
the notification bar looks are not like the one in screenshot..
i dont hav ethe phone so cant take screenshot now...
reserved ...
very nice rom/theme it is based on...? JPA? how did you cooked it?
Looks nice but I think that DIAL PAD has poor visibility - try with darker colour.

suggestions are welcome.......

and updates would be coming soon..

note: the notification bar/status bar is under development, so this is not the final look.........

tried like 10 times to add reboot, recovery and download options to the power menu....
but i dont get it where the hell i am mistaking.....
anybody help please????
finaly someone is doing some modding on i5800! cheers!
well i have reached much ahead of this.............
i have added many codes to the system files in order to add reboot, recovery, download options......
RESULT:
1. no reboot/rec./download options
2. but the phone shutdown and startup time was reduced considerably....(accidental finding i suppose )
Any other advantages or is your rom just about the look?
Deodexed? Pre-Rooted? Changes in Filesystem?
On what FW is it based? What kernel is in use?
What's the source?
Changelist?
Its looks cool
what are the advantages pal and is this ROM only for LOOKS?
Can you please include the advantages
Good Job pal we all appretiate your work.
A suggestion:
Blue icons for the notification bar?
hmm you added reboot option in power menu!!! thats great!
i hope that one day programmers like The Dark Lestat, Gsam101, abhi0n0nakul, motafoca, apollo5801 and others (sorry if i didn't mention someone) unite, combine their knowledge and create something perfect for our i5800...

Dude stop trolling. He doesn't owe you anything just because you explained UOT (which really doesn't need explanation.) Believe it or not, people were using UOT long before your post. Begging for thanks (in your own thread) and links (in others threads) isn't how we operate here.

I know that and I didn't say he owe me something, don't be so agressive. I didn't say anything against you or him. Yes people were using it but many didn't know about it I guess. Why is it so bad for you that I want to organise so that people can choose what they want without searching everywhere? If you can't be talking normal to me keep your comments

Lol
it takes 20-30 sec to click and choose this battery type it UOT
nothing difficult.
2 PlayGungsta
It's better to make themes on your own, isn't it? I mean it looks like a joke, to add 2-3 elements in UOT to framework-res and release it such as mod or theme.
Of course it's not due to your honor, but it's very funny. be serious

Is there a way to restore original font after using this one with the new font (or uninstall it??)?

ICONS on APP Drawer

Do you guys know how to replace the icons on the app drawer??
any way like flashing it?

fastest way : use one of the launcher (go launcher, adw, etc) and then download the theme....
other way : decompile, change icon, compile back some apk (CMIIW)....but I never try it before, so I don't know which apk you must decompile.... sorry for that...

You have to change the apk's icons one by one if you don't use any launchers that supports icon packs (stock launcher)

but i think you will need to mod an xml file because the fit is an ldpi screen ....

[MOD][XXKQB]Swipe to Remove Notifications

Hey guys, I have Ported swipe to remove notifications for the I9001,
It's similar to the ICS one, thanks to hansip87 for his Porting guide
I have created a CWM package, just flash it via FeaMod Recovery, (stock recovery might work, haven't tried it)
the phone will take quite some time to bootup after installation, don't worry
Remember you require XXKQB deodexed firmware, So deodex before trying this mod.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emGp...DvjVQa1PpcFPn6dwKkWC1MMm4clPvDKa5ZylOiPvUveI=
EDIT: tweaked the animation's slightly in (2), will be easier to swipe with the thumb now.you'll notice that swiping left will be easier, than swiping right, cause our thumb doesn't move in a linear motion while swiping right (if you are right handed) this can be tweaked.
Please let me know which one works the best or if they need to be tweaked more.
EDIT:Added Package for Moon ROM v4.0
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFQN...DvjVQa1PpcFPn6dwKkWC1MLdqyRxI0qOBOQqSwbLsC_M=
EDIT: Added package for BroodRom.
EDIT:Set the packages to half swipe, this means you have to swipe from one edge to the center or slightly ahead.
If you liked this Mod then please press the thank's button

Really cool! It works with MoonROM but change theme...Hmm :S
Thanks man, I tried it once and stuck very early, wanted to try it again after my exams, but now you did it. Is it okay if I integrate it directly in my ICS-Theme? Would be just awesome!
Cheers
ICS theme with this mod will be great.
but gotta find the perfect swipe setting first
please test it and let me know.
Nice job dude!
Some other people also tried to make it work (including me) but failed. Really cool feature .
@ macdroid2:
It changes the theme because for this mod the systemUI.apk will be replaced. And there the moonrom theme isn't included. You could copy the moonrom .png files (from systemUI.apk) to the systemUI.apk of this mod..
awesome work

Don't know if there are other things to change in the framework.jar for the theme.
I think you can simply unzip the systemUI.apk (if it doesn't work, rename it to systemUI.zip) and copy the files from /res/drawable-hdpi to the modded unzipped systemUI.
After that repack it (with compression setting -> store, in german it is named "speichern", don't know the exact name in english, but should be store), rename in systemUI.apk and try it.

There are a lot of different smali-files in the framework.jar if I compare it with the stock one. But as far as its working
got it installed on the moon rom, works fine. unfortunately, though, it kills off the other button settings in the status menu (i.e. there's also data connectivity, gps and so on, that you get to by swiping the buttons to the left)
so, ironically, your great work stops swiping
You had made the deodex package so you know better,
what rom's framework.jar is it actually ?
As long as it work's how it's supposed to, there's no problem

[MOD][N][F8131][7.0][7.1] Centre Clock, Combined Data/WiFi cluster on Left

Hi Today id like to share my modified SystemUI.apk for NOUGAT 7.0 (39.x.x.x442) and now 7.1 (41.x.x.x.8).
As the title suggests, it has been modified with the combined Data/WiFi cluster, moved to the left side of status bar, and the clock centered. Just flash the zip in recovery and reboot. Working on .442.
Works on odexed rom, I tested before deodexing .442.
Thanks to:
@Ticklefish (data/WiFi mod and awesome tickle my android program, miscellaneous help)
@FunSucker (Centre Clock mod, help with miscellaneous code)
@whalesplaho (all round help with code placement/modifying apk)
Please give the above guys a thanks on their posts, without them i'd still be waiting for xposed to achieve this.
A screenshot will speak more too......
Happy yhu work it out. :good:
You're welcome, @Beetle84 . Great work :good: and glad to help

So is the systemui.apk you supplied already modified with center clock? If so, Do you have a completely stock backup?

Give the attached zip a try, hopefully it works.
You can unzip the test.zip and replace the modified systemui.apk with your own stock file and rezip so you have a flashable stock backup.
Download link updated, now based off .442 systemui.apk

Download the zip attached to that post, inside are two xml's from a deodexed systemui.apk.
Deodex then decompile your systemui.apk and edit your files to match (you can try to copy and paste but it may have errors), recompile and hopefully it worked.

Will do it ASAP, thanks a lot!!
OP updated for NOUGAT 7.1, 41.x.x.x.8.
How to return to stock?
Also, how to change wifi icon? I do not like the single bar, I would like the traditional one.

If you didnt back up your stock systemui.apk, you will have to wait till tomorrow and I will add one to the OP. As for the stock wifi icon, I will have a play tomorrow, it shouldn't be hard at all really. I have fixed the small gaps (signal cluster moves a little to the right when wifi is on and notifications were a bit far over as well) so I will add that tomorrow too :good:.
