How did you manage to lock it up?
Have you tried installing something before the logo reboot loop started?
i received from customer in that condition....
Same problem here, nobody knows a fix? Battery won't charge.

Hello everyone ,
I got a HTC Desire S. Yesterday i opened my phone and suddenly it closed. And didnt open again. It froze in HTC screen. (Quietly Brilliant is not coming) And i couldn't make a factory reset or recovery. When i press factory reset it froze again. Is there a way to fix this? Also the phone is not rooted or installed any custom rom. Lastly i am a newbie on Android devices. While answering me, can you also please describe what should i do step by step. Especially technical terms.
Any help will be deeply appreciated.

No it didnt happen while downloading or doing something. It happened suddenly. It looks like i will return it to warranty.
i think its best idea
Try boot into recovery or in the hboot menu wipe the device. Then try to boot again.

Unfortunately i tried them too. But results are same phone froze while i tried to do them.
this happened to me while i was downloading in the market.
phone got stuck in the htc screen and could not load anything at all, no reboot or factory reset either.
i send it back to HTC last wednesday n got it back friday! all good now.
they simply changed the motherboard.

I think i will do the same Thanks for sharing your experience.
Same here, just send it to HTC, they'll just install new motherboard or swap your phone for working one.

the other day I turned my HTC Inspire off to charge for the night and the next morning I turn it back on to see it stuck at the white HTC screen. The phone vibeates like 5 or 6 times while on the White HTC screen... I get it to the BOOTLOG menue to try to reset the phone and it will not do anything it says no CID and something else. Please helpif you can.. I am open to any advise.. I was told that I could download new rom on my external SD card and then upload it thru BOOGLOG but cannot find what i need to download... any help would be great !!! please advise as I anxiously await!! Robert
First thing to try when it is stuck is to pull the battery out. put it back in and restart the phone. See what happens after that and report if the phone is still stuck or if it booted.
it is still stuck wont do anything ... i have to hold the power button and the volume down button to get it in Bootloop mode and still does nothing... is there any hope on saving this phone?

Please do your research on what you are doing before you do it. Bootloop is not a mode but what your phone does when it loads the animation and then starts the animation over and over again. My advice would be to read the stickies before you do anything else.
Please for the love of all tech. Do your homework on what your doing or you will wind up with a device that wont turn on and cant be returned. Flashing things to your phone is not for people that dont want to learn.

You obviously need to read up on this device. There is bootloader or fastboot. Yes you can flash a Rom through bootloader or a signed ruu through fastboot. One can be done if you are s-off and the other if you are s-on. Read the forums to learn about this device because no one is going to be able to help you if you can't even understand what they are telling you.

I've looked every for a solution to this problem and I never could find a similar case or an answer. I am running Viper on my sensation (specs in sig) and heading back home my phone just shutdown. I turned it back on and it stayed on splash screen. So I took out the battery and now it won't turn on. I have 3 other battery's and they're fully charged. Sometimes I can get it to Bootloader, but once I go into recovery it shuts down. Sometimes it just won't even boot. The orange light doesn't even show when I connect it to the charger either with battery is in. Can someone help me get a solution because I don't think I can send this if it still unlocked, rooted, and have a ROM.
HTC Sensation not boot up
its the same happened for my HTC sensation
unlock my HTC sensation 4G s-off
after getting into recovery - install from sdcard - superwipe
then reboot than htc sensation I can not boot up again
- Charge my battery on an external
- Move sd card and sim card
but it will not turn on / get into bootloader

Hold the VolDown button then press the Power button. You'll get into the bootloader and just go into the Recovery.

Put a small piece of paper behind the battery in order to make it fit in more tightly; that way we can see whether or not the problem is being caused by a faulty connection to the battery pins. Also, all Sensations don't charge when they are at the htc splash screen nor when they are in the bootloader.
I have Put a small piece of paper behind the battery, but my sensation not boot at all... first i want to install viper ROM, i have try 5 times but it boot-loop, than i install super-wipe, but wrong super-wipe,
htc sensation I can not turn on it at all
i think the boot-loader error when i install wrong super-wipe (i install superwipe for htc wildfire)

using wrong superwipe is the problem ...it might have wiped important partitions and thus bootup failed .... only Jtag is the solution i think ..
you need to go to any local shop who have jtag and try to flash firmware using jtag
I am stuck here with a sensation using hboot 1.27.0000 and wasted the last few days looking for a solution s-off and unlock bootlaoder so i can get some "normal" ROM onto it. Currently the stock rom is on it which keeps crashing every few hours, i was hoping that a custom rom might help me, there is no warranty left anyway.
any help is appreciated

You have two options to choose from.
1.) Unlock bootloader through htcdev website. It doesn't give you full access your phone although you can still flash custom roms. See HERE for more information
2.) Gain full S-OFF and enjoy the freedom. See HERE how to do it.

One more problem, in which order should i do it? root then s off? or ther other way around?

You must be rooted to go for s-off.But u may find wire trick method difficult so u can still flash a custom rom with s-on and boot loader unlock .Follow this guide its easy and simple .

Just follow the s-off guide by Ganeshp I linked step by step as it is written there and you will be fine. The tool will temporary root your phone then will remove it when finished. When all is done, you can use the one-click-root-tool from the same guide to permanently root your device. Good luck!
I think i just bricked my deveice trying the wire trick. Does not power up anymore, no charging light and not able to get into bootlaoder or anything

Dont know it works but try it... !!
How to make a "jump start" the HTC phone.
1. Take out the phone cover.
2. Take out the battery, optionally Sim Card and Flash Card.
3. Plug your wall charger from the wall into the phone WITHOUT the battery in and cover.
4. Pop the battery back in and wait until the indicator light is orange.
5. Wait for about 5-10 minutes until your battery charged at least 2-3%
6. Pop the battery back in and close the cover. Optionally Sim Card and Flash Card.
7. Try to turn it on. This should start the phone.
8. So, once you started your phone. Plug your wall charger back into the phone.
9. Wait for until your battery became fully charged.
Nope, not working for me looks like i have really bricked the damn thing

You missed the main point.. You need to remove battery too.. The charge is to internals of the phone (like CMOS battery)

Remove battery, sim and sdcard and charge the phone for 7-8 hours (I'm going for extreme here) then pop in battery and try to turn on the phone

Hi guys i recently used juopunut bears s off method and pulled the battery after several failed attempts (during the process). Now my phone no longer turns on ,I have tried The Htc Bricking project guide to try and unbrick (even intstalled linux lol) but the computer still says my device is not detected. I have tried the leaving for a few hours and charge with no battery etc but my device is not springing back into life? When i charge with a battery in nothing happens no led lights up. Is my phone completely hard bricked? or if not can someone clarify the steps for me and any other laternative solutions. Thanks XDA
(edit) the juopunutbear soff oethod had managed to run successfully twice it was just after the 3rd battery pull it wouldnt turn on
