Is there any weather weather applications that can use the local stations from Weather Underground? the default weather underground application is pretty terrible IMO..
I just installed BeWeather (free/pro.ed) and it does just that. Clean ICS-like interface and good widgets as well.
is that the only program that pulls local weather station data from weather underground?

I have the weather underground app on my phone and I love it. Type in weather underground or wunderground in the market search box and you should find it

great find!!! I had a blackberry for years and had the BerryWeather paid version installed... LOVED IT!! I was not too happy that when I switched to an android phone about 1 year ago there was no BerryWeather app.. so I purchased the PalmaryWeather Pro app... but that does NOT use local Weather Underground stations.. so I'm so happy to 1.) get BerryWeather (BeWeather) now on Android.. and 2.) have an app that uses local weather stations from Weather Underground!!!

I have been wondering the same thing. I would love to have a more powerful weather app that would replace the HTC Touch Flow weather app that comes with many Windows Mobile 6.1 phones.
same here, i'm looking for the best possible weather plugin. thanks for an advice.
well what are you guys using for weathering now?
I use the free, light, accurate, configurable & flexable WeatherBug V2.2 on my Today screen.

Hi,
I recently converted to this beautiful android phone can please someone help me with a good weather widget without autoupdate.... i what it to update only when i want and please no HTC looking crap
I've heard that Beautiful widgets is good.. and doesn't look like the HTC one.. not sure about the autoupdate though.. you'd have to try it (if you haven't already!) to see if you can switch auto update off.
Tried and I can't turn auto update off :-(

The BEST weather widget for the Xperia is Palmary weather you can get it from their site
Try out 'Weather widgets' (yr.no) from the market - its free.
Tried a few, and found Weather Forecast the best - skinnable to match you x10 theme too...

Agreed. Weatherbug elite is the class of this genre.
Hi,
Do you know any weather app that does not have running service?
Yes, weather forecast app that can pull data "manually" ...
No need periodic / interval update ...
Widget is not necessary either ...
Moved to Q&A BW, Fancy widget, and even the default news and weather app has this I believe
Most have these "features" and I don't really like that either. I've noticed that most of them will let you change the frequency that they pull info. Some down to 12 hours.
Fancy widget has lots of refresh options. One of them being to only refresh weather manually.
Thanks for all the suggestions. At the end, I ended up with (again) Beautiful Widget 1x1 (I already bought this when I use HTC Desire).
The reason that I want to find this kind of weather app, because I want to limit the number of running (background) services.
So, I replaced the Beautiful Widget Home widget with "simiClock" because it is simple, elegant and uses black background (save battery life).
simiClock has weather info as well ... But it does not have forecast.
That's why I was looking for weather app which can be activated (launched) when I press the simiClock weather.
But, it seems I cannot find one ... The one with update/interval can be controlled (I am not weather obsessive guy, so manual update is the best for me).
At the end, I am back with Beautiful widget weather 1x1 ... until I found a nice weather forecast app to launch from simiClock
I purchased the Weatherbug Elite. It has the options to turn off the background processing and only grab weather data when you run the app.
it's unfortunate, but i'm running into the same situation
i want to disable the back ground processing of the weather app that i like, but the app doesn't have such a feature/option
the app is supplied directly from The Weather Network, and it's very accurate, all the other apps that i've tried before are not so great
Try WeatherPro, best weather app imo
try Fancy widget... you'll love it! great app
Moxier World is by far the best I've found.
It updates either automatically or manually.
It also shows local time and weather in as many world locations as you need. It has 5 days forecast for each.

Try this out. It has an option to set update interval (or disable update entirely)
I been using miui weather app but it fc and doesn't have geolocation so any suggestions other than beautiful Widgets and 3d weather home?
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
i used to use miui as well but it rapes your battery and doesnt have gps. so i switched to weather bug elite. it has gps and the battery usage is truly minimal. its not as much eye candy as miui but it works alot better.
3d digital weather clock. Free in the market. Its just like the nice lg one

That doesn't show real time weather condition, only forecast for the whole day.
weatherpro app works great for me
Weatherbug, or weatherbug elite are good weather programs.
The Weather Channel.
My app preference is WeatherBug.... But honestly what I use more and more these days is a bookmark shortcut to search "weather" on Google if I'm just looking for basic info since Google's mobile weather site is pretty slick with the sliding bar interface to see how the weather forecast progresses with time.
