That doesn't show real time weather condition, only forecast for the whole day.

weatherpro app works great for me

Weatherbug, or weatherbug elite are good weather programs.

The Weather Channel.

My app preference is WeatherBug.... But honestly what I use more and more these days is a bookmark shortcut to search "weather" on Google if I'm just looking for basic info since Google's mobile weather site is pretty slick with the sliding bar interface to see how the weather forecast progresses with time.

what is the clock and weather widget shown in the video?

that is beautiful widgets with the basic theme. It's availible in the market as a paid app. and well worth the money. Theres a good hundered themes for it including new weather icon themes as well. And apparently theres some big addition/update coming soon.
beautiful widget is a great clock/weather app.
i also really really like weatherbug elite. it's my new favorite for weather. has a radar map widget and a 4x1 forecast widget, and the app rocks when you open it. definitely the best i've seen.

Weather forecast widget

Does anyone know where I can find a widget that is basically identical to the Weather Forecast one in the ManUP456's REVOlution theme, but gets its data from somewhere more reliable.
I love the way that it looks. It fits my home screen perfectly.
The problem is with the data itself. For instance, the app says that yr.no says that the temperature is going to be 80° here tomorrow, but the Weather Channel forecasts a temperature of 96° (definitely more like it).
I'm not sure if it's a problem with incorrect data, an inaccurate conversion from Celsius to Fahrenheit, or what.
There really isn't much point in a weather forecast if it's horribly inaccurate, though.
Any suggestions are welcomed.
Thanks, guys.

Sure its exactly the name of your thread title. Search the market for "Weather Forecast Widget" its much much more reliable and looks good as well.
That is the widget in Manup's theme. I also use it but find the data to be less than accurate.
I downloaded the "Weather Forecast Widget" by Francois DESLANDES from the market.
I like it so far. It doesn't have the 7 day forecast like yr.no's, but the four day forecast shows up instead.
Here is my quick review:
Widget sizes include the following:
1x1
2x1 full day
2x1
2x2
4x1
4x2 *
4x3 *
4x4 *
* includes forecast and calendar
The weather can be aggregated from Google or NOAA (much more accurate than yr.no).
With the paid version, you can choose from 17 different icon sets and 27 backgrounds.
I tend to prefer the HTC icon set (someone derived the HTC weather icons from the weather app so they could be used here).
The widget sizes that includes the calendar has current conditions or today's forecast (your choice) at the top and the forecast for the next two days below it with each day's events listed below its respective day. (A tap will take you to the calendar app of your choosing)
This is a great widget set for my purposes. It is incredibly customizable.
If you're looking around for a good weather widget, try the free app. If you're like me and need more visual customization, go for the paid app key.

Thanks, guys.
Agreed. Great looking widget, but completely inaccurate data. When I finally got it to acknowledge that I'm in Tampa and not Jacksonville, temps were still way off.

That is odd. In my case, the location is spot on and the temperatures mirror the NOAA website perfectly.
In lieu of funcrusher's experience, results may vary.
I'd still recommend it though.
My bad, I was referring to the one in manup's theme.
Trying Weather Forecast Widget now.

Haha. I probably should have figured that out. Oh well, a full day of classes has me a little slow at this point.
its nice. too bad you cant skin the free version. some Buff icons would be nice.
Without a doubt the best is Snowstorm. For some reason it's very hard to find in the market as it doesn't appear under "weather widgets" search, but it works fantastically. Also the first reply for "Weather Forecast Widget" is decent advice. It's great as well.

Snowstorm seems useful, but I tend to like how weather widgets displays both the high and low for each day. I haven't spent much time with it, so I'm not exactly sure if there is a way to do what I'm talking about.
I do like the forecast screen on snowstorm much more than weather widgets, but there are trade offs.

Is there any weather app like this?

Hi,
Do you know any weather app that does not have running service?
Yes, weather forecast app that can pull data "manually" ...
No need periodic / interval update ...
Widget is not necessary either ...
Moved to Q&A BW, Fancy widget, and even the default news and weather app has this I believe
Most have these "features" and I don't really like that either. I've noticed that most of them will let you change the frequency that they pull info. Some down to 12 hours.
Fancy widget has lots of refresh options. One of them being to only refresh weather manually.
Thanks for all the suggestions. At the end, I ended up with (again) Beautiful Widget 1x1 (I already bought this when I use HTC Desire).
The reason that I want to find this kind of weather app, because I want to limit the number of running (background) services.
So, I replaced the Beautiful Widget Home widget with "simiClock" because it is simple, elegant and uses black background (save battery life).
simiClock has weather info as well ... But it does not have forecast.
That's why I was looking for weather app which can be activated (launched) when I press the simiClock weather.
But, it seems I cannot find one ... The one with update/interval can be controlled (I am not weather obsessive guy, so manual update is the best for me).
At the end, I am back with Beautiful widget weather 1x1 ... until I found a nice weather forecast app to launch from simiClock
I purchased the Weatherbug Elite. It has the options to turn off the background processing and only grab weather data when you run the app.
it's unfortunate, but i'm running into the same situation
i want to disable the back ground processing of the weather app that i like, but the app doesn't have such a feature/option
the app is supplied directly from The Weather Network, and it's very accurate, all the other apps that i've tried before are not so great
Try WeatherPro, best weather app imo
try Fancy widget... you'll love it! great app
Moxier World is by far the best I've found.
It updates either automatically or manually.
It also shows local time and weather in as many world locations as you need. It has 5 days forecast for each.

yes, it is nice, it's what i'm using
Try this out. It has an option to set update interval (or disable update entirely)

Best weather apps/widgets?

What are the best Weather apps or widgets, of any variety and quickly why?
If the app costs $, be sure to say so!
I'm compiling a list of threads that will help people find the best apps/widgets of each category. Will recompile when done so your help is greatly appreciated!
Looks like Beautiful Widgets will take the win here, but I'm sure many will want another app/widget that's free.
weather bug--free
For Weather you are spoilt for choice.
Besides what has already been mentioned there's:-
eWeather HD Widget & Barometer ~ £1.85
Palmary Weather Pro ~ £1.85
Weather Pro ~ £2.13
Go Weather ~ Free
...... and many, many others which I will leave for someone else to add to.
i used optimus x2 weather widget..
its called today briefing..
I'm by no means well-versed in weather apps as I'm only starting to play with them, but these are my observations so far. Accuweather has nice icons that I like but keeps force closing on me. Hope that will be fixed soon. Genie news and weather is good too, you can choose to display just weather.
Beautiful Widgets is my choice. Fully customizable with downloadable skins for Clock, Weather, Battery widget, and Toggle Widgets.
Press the weather area and it will launch your choice of Weather App *I use WeatherBug Paid (I try to support if its a mainstay)* the Radar can be slow though but it works..
Press the Time spot and will launch you choice of Clock or Alarm. *I use Gentle Alarm*
Press the Date area and will launch your choice of Calendar. *I use Jorte*
All of that is customizable. For instance if you wanted to you could config it to launch Angry Birds on press of any of above or any other app or shortcut of your choosing.
I love the Animated Weather effects. though last week during Snowpocylpse here is Chicago area I thought the drifting was a bit overkill... LOL

Weather App that uses local weather stations from Weather Underground?

Is there any weather weather applications that can use the local stations from Weather Underground? the default weather underground application is pretty terrible IMO..
I just installed BeWeather (free/pro.ed) and it does just that. Clean ICS-like interface and good widgets as well.
is that the only program that pulls local weather station data from weather underground?

I have the weather underground app on my phone and I love it. Type in weather underground or wunderground in the market search box and you should find it
Sent from my LG Optimus S - CM7.1 using XDA Premium App
great find!!! I had a blackberry for years and had the BerryWeather paid version installed... LOVED IT!! I was not too happy that when I switched to an android phone about 1 year ago there was no BerryWeather app.. so I purchased the PalmaryWeather Pro app... but that does NOT use local Weather Underground stations.. so I'm so happy to 1.) get BerryWeather (BeWeather) now on Android.. and 2.) have an app that uses local weather stations from Weather Underground!!!
