Ive read the similar threads, but i cant find anything that helps.
the thing is I have a desire and wanted to root it. Im a noob, apparently, i tried the one click root tutorial but the driver didnt work and ive done everything step by step... i came across something from revolutionary while reading a thread... long story short ive installed it... accessed the boot menu.. installed my rom from the revolutionary menu... installation was successful.. boot animations are all there but it either goes into a black screen or the animation keeps looping regardless of the ROM... what on earth have I done? how do i recover... Ive tried everything i can think of...
please excuse my noobiness and the fact that i made a new thread... but i have no idea what else i can do...

For starters if I have this in the wrong place or missed whet I need in search please forgive me as this is my first post.
Droid Incredible rooted with no problems. I am still on the stock kernal. I downloaded setcpu and flashed the associated perflock disable (again, due to stock kernal). Now it appears the phone is bricked as I can only get to the white "htc incredible" screen. I have tried booting into recovery with no luck.
I've read a few ways on how to get out of this situation and frankly I'm scared to try anything else. I just don;t know what could have gone wrong with flashing the perflock_disable zip?
Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
I can get into Clockwork mod Recovery however it appears my nandroid backup files are gone....most likely due my having to reformat my SD card due to music file issues awhiel back. I must have forgot to do a backup after that.
This definately will be a learning experience.

hey guys i have to say i am really starting to enjoy my inspire having it rooted and flashed makes a big difference, but i am running into some issues
when i run Rom Manager and i tell it boot into recovery the phone restarts and going to a black screen nothing else i used the S-off to flash and root my phone. but for some reason the clockwork mod recovery file is not there or i am not booting into it correctly . i am coming from a flashed dell streak and rooted i am running 1.90 djsteve so i know whats going on with flashing and doing things
please help and i did some serious google searching and some reading on this forum and other forums

The new bubby's method has a fix for this, re download his program unless you have the newest version and use it. There's a thread around somewhere with this same info.

Would anyone happen to know how to get out of bootloop on an acer liquid metal s120, im not entirely sure if it is bootloop but ill explain what i did
Firstly, i used superboot to put it in recovery mode to try get a custom rom, but i wasnt to sure how to so i decided to turn back and try get out of the process. that was after i had wiped everything
So, then i tried to get the stock rom back and after downloading numerous roms and other things that tutorials said i needed.. im still stuck with a phone that has a black screen with 3 coloured squares...
another thing.. when i try to install a rom it loads about half way then fails..
Im open to try anything...

hi guys i have a evo 3d gsm i rooted with revoulutionary worked great i have s/off i also have been running leeroid kernel with infected ethernety rom for he past month i have always used rom manager to load roms and always worked well so i tried to load a red theme without reading much on it and i ended up getting into a boot loop and i cant fix or flash any new roms to fix this problem because the clockworkmod recovery dosent respond it just goes to a black screen with a hat, i have tried to use fastboot to flash a new recovery but i guess im still new at this and im kinda stuck im like the only person i know up here in montreal that messes with androids so i could really use some detailed instructions on a soultion im not finding any threads with a real understanding of what i could do to fix this any help is would help thanks

did you make a back up of your rom before you flashed infected? flash your back up.
Yah I made a backup a few weeks back but Shari think I need to do is install a new recovery through fast lot but I'm not sure of how to do it some people say to use sdk it I don't know what I'm doing I'm kind of a noob at this stuff
who's Shari? anyways I would flash my back up and see if that resolves the issue but its up to you, I don't take any responsibility on what happens.
Sorry I don't know who Sharri is either lol miss spell but anyway that we're my issue is cuz I can't flash anything cuz clockwork mod recovery doesn't work every time I try to use the options it just goes to a black screen with a hat I can't even reboot I have to pull the battery to get out so I'm looking to do is flash a new recovery so I can try a restore of my backups but I'm not sure of how to do it

Im new to this forum, thou ive used some stuff from it before.
So, i got tired of my ICS o3d.. Too many problems with apps and other stuff.
And now ive tried to flash JB 4.2.2 to it.
Worked fine throu the flash, but stucks in bootloop on first boot.
And now i cant even do sh*t with my phone. Cant even get into recovery.
So, im not noob on flashing/rooting and all that. Been doing it for some years now.
But never got a bootloop like this one before.
How do i fix this?
EDIT:
Sometimes when i try to get into recovery (by pressing vol - button) it asks me if i wanna do a hard factory reset. And ive done that now two times. Still stucks on bootloop.

But, i managed to save the phone.
OMAPflash + LGflashtool = unbrick

Friggin' awesome.
Now i only need to flash for JB again hope for not brick it again.
So..
the rom itself runs fine. No 3D anyhow.
But, my IMEI got lost.
And i cant fix it. Help needed!
Feels like im flooding the **** out of this thread. Sry for that.
BUT..
i managed to get my IMEI back.
I did a recovery with LGmobile Support Tool. And then i got bootloop from hell.
So i go back to the whole unbricking procedure.
And thank god it worked.
Too bad im back on 2.3.5 now. Want 4+.
Maby its for the best to stay on 2.3..
