Any complaints about the Nexus S? - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've been considering trading my HTC Sensation for a Samsung Nexus S. Do you guys have any complaints about the phone hardware wise, build quality etc? The wifi death grip on this phone is about to nearly drive me insane.

My friend has the nexus s and its awesome but I say replace your sensation with HTC or T-Mobile and just root and load a custom rom to make it smooth/smoother.

Did that already, phone is as smooth as a baby, but the wifi issue is hardware related, and oddly enough i use my phone landscape 80% of the time, which means wifi is non existent unless I hold it awkwardly. T_T.

The Nexus S is smooth. But the Sensation XE, That I own is smoother than my old Nexus S. With more time and optimization the Sensation will be alot smoother.

That's exactly what I did, I had a Sensation for a few days as an upgrade from Orange, but when I saw a Nexus S on special offer and got one for my daughter, I found it much lighter and the screen better than the Sensation. So I bought one for myself and put the Sensation on Ebay.
I also like the Nexus S OS because it is clean without any manufacturers customisations.
I updated mine from 2.3.1 to 2.3.6 stock ROM. Will wait for the OTA ICS update later this month.
I have found the WiFi to be a bit weak, this apparently is a known problem, otherwise just feels faster than the Sensation.
In future I'm going to stick to the Google phones because I prefer a vanilla Android install.

Weak because of a software issue? I know the Sensation had a problem like that and a wifi range patch fixed that. Right now I'm seeing now downfall to trading my sensation for the nexus

I had a sensation and traded it for my current nexus s. Not one ounce of regret.
I've had several android phones and this nexus s hands down is the best. I can see myself having this phone for a couple years and, for me, that says a lot.

i really want to do the same as you right now. the sensation is getting a little too boring and there is a lack of development on the roms i want. do you guys suggest the nexus s or to keep the sensation? and does the single/dual core have much of a difference?

So far, I've seen no reason to not trade, benchmarks are about the same if not better. One last question, hows the camera?

Only complaint: dog slow compared to GSII. On the plus side, it has such a better form factor and it feels better in my hand.

yeah, how is the camera, its 5mp compared to the 8mp in the sensation and theres no hd recording, but its still great for picture taking isnt it?

I had to make the same decision and I haven't looked back. One thing about the sensation that drove me insane was the touchscreen sensitivity. I would always miss keys on the keyboard and I'd have to press harder than I did on my old vibrant. The nexus s has a much better digitizer and is much more responsive over all IMO. Comparable to the galaxy s (not surprising). I will warn you, the screen isn't the sharpest, but the saturated colors and deep blacks are worth it IMO. Aside from that, I can't think of any downsides.

Quality seems great to me, so, switching it is for me!

Thats the thing with HTC. I love the build and Sense (less so since I got ICS on my Nexus S) but the screens are a POS and thats the thing that you interact with the most the screen. It really makes or breaks a phone.
HTC really need to get an Amoled supplier or something similar, else they will fall way behind Samsung in the next few years.
I will not touch another HTC phone because of this.

I've never actually compared my screen to the nexus s. So to me the screen quality seems fine haha. . Although, I used to have the HD7, and the quality of that screen was HORRID.

I had a Hero and the screen was nice.
Then I got a HD2 about 6 months ago and put Android on it. It ran it well but the screen was an abomination. Also, the digitizer was poor as it missed buttons pressed all the time. So I sold it and kept the Hero for another 6 months.
Then I saw the Nexus S for £199 and couldn't resist.
I can't get over how good this phone is.

Amazing
Got the nexus s last week and what a phone. Super Amoled screen with contour display kicks ass. Very fast GPU

Thinking of getting rid of Sensation for g2x....

The sensation is a great phone, but there are some things that bother me about it. Sense 3.0 is just too much...uses too many resources. The screen is decent, but I still can't figure out why the g2x screen I saw in person looks better (maybe because the g2x is an IPS screen?), and the speaker on the sensation is terrible (how is the speaker on the g2x)?
I've been reading that the official gingerbread update has (so far) fixed some issues that the g2x had, which is why I'm thinking about making the switch.
Any opinions on this?
honestly as this recent leak is, cm7 is still better and more stable with alot of extra features, until t-mo releases the official ota with upgraded baseband and upgraded to a gingerbread kernel, this update is still inferior to cm7 imo
gingerbread is still far off, if this is the latest rom LG has, then i wouldnt say its close to being pushed to t-mo for review wich still leaves us a few months away from anything official, unless they really plan to make the final update run on a kernel that doesnt even fully support the tegra 2 chip.

Both phones are great. Had the G2x but switched it out for the sensation. I have no regrets because the G2x was very problematic. I guess I was one of those unlucky ones that got a bad g2x (reboots, freezes, shutdowns, etc).....and I had 2 G2x and both phones were bad and I didn't want to wait for the update lol. However, a working nondefective G2x is a beast phone nonetheless. It's faster than the sensation imo.
The sensation on the other hand is also a great phone. And im Lucky that I got a nondefective one from the start. I prefer the sensation over the G2x but it all comes down to the user itself.
Im not boasting or bragging or putting down any phone, just stating my personal experiances with these phones.
Hope you get the phone you want...

The g2x is an awesome gaming phone with all the tegra games and stuff.
The sensation i feel is a little more boring but more reliable and professional looking. Also i noticed that by disabling sense and the bloatware that cane with the phone, ive been able to make it as fast if not faster than the g2x. Specially the browsing. I dont have the problem where it takes a while for the browser to open abd once it opens its seems to reopen the last website, which i belive was due to my g2x running low on memory.

I traded my g2x for a sensation, them back to the g2x. The g2x is way better..
Sensation wifi was horrid..
Kept my G2X but use my Sensation as my daily driver. The only time I really pick the G2X up is to play Tegra games or flash ROMS. Like someone else said, if you keep Sense on the Sensation, your phone will be laggy. HTC did a horrible job of optimizing the new version of Sense. If you load ADW on the Sensation, the UI will become as fast, if not faster than the G2X. Loading apps, using Google maps and browsing the web has always been faster on the Sensation than on the G2X whether your running Sense or not. Getting rid of Sense and stopping it from running makes the UI as responsive as one could get.
Can't go wrong with either phone. I didn't have a bad experience with either of them (until I loaded GB onto my G2X). Some people had a bad experience with the G2X and went to the Sensation. Some people had a bad experience with the Sensation and came back to the G2X. To each his own.

Well, looks like I'm keeping my sensation.
Installed launcherpro, and for some reason it even opens up apps quicker now (even though sense 3.0 is still there running in the background). I also love the fact that I can still use the sense 3.0 lockscreen with launcherpro. Phones feels like an entirely new beast now.

Yea man...Sense sucks anyway. The only things good about it is the lock screen, sms app, contacts and email. Everything else is just annoying eye candy. Good part about using a launcher is you get to keep all of that without the eye candy.
Check your available memory now. It should be somewhere around 300. Also, if you think LP is fast, check out ADW.

If you are a developer then get the G2x, but if you are looking for a overall solid phone for day to day use, keep the Sensation. But if you don't etheir one, then can't go wrong with either phone. The Sensation is more powerful as it uses a better GPU.
The screen on the sensation is superior in some ways, just overall looks sharper and alot more more detail. But the G2x, colors look more vibrant.
WiFi issue I notice to, if you touch around the top area and when signal is fair, then drops, but with a stonger signal, not as bad. Notice it doesn't affect the other radio's inside.
But the G2x seem quicker, but battery last more longer on the sensation, I guess theirs tradeoff's ethier way you look at it.
Long term Sensation is a better choice, In quadrant test score lower due to screen resolution is higher and does affect the score, but CPU/GPU is better in the Sensation as it use a powerful 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor with Adreno 220 GPU, which is known to outpreform the Nvidia terga 2 chipset, only thing lacking is the ram which is 768MB LPDDR2, which is good, they sure have when to 1gb. Alot of people think the Samsung Galaxy s2 is going to be faster, it's not, it only use a Adreno 205 GPU, but the ddr II 1gb ram helps but screen resolution also make a big different, put the same screen in all and see who wins?
I didn't have any problems with my G2X to begin with, but updated to the GB update and it runs even quicker and the battery life is also better.
One thing that deterred me from getting the Sensation was the locked bootloader and only 1gb of internal memory. Not all apps can be moved to the SD card. Plus I think the G2X looks sexy with it's curved Gorilla glass edges and sleek body. stock Vanilla is a big plus, and the dual speakers at the bottom of the phone and not on the back that get's muffled was another deciding factor. HTC always has crappy sounding speakers.

[Q] Which one: Nexus S Versus HTC Incredible S

Hey guys, quick question.
I currently have a htc desire that I passed on to a buddy of mine. I can get either a nexus s or incredible S. no price difference.
this new phone will be used for 3 months max, until my next upgrade
Which one should I keep?
Thanks
The Nexus feels like a cheap piece of plastic and is using very old hardware while lacking such basics as a notification LED and an SD card slot. Go with the quality HTC product.

Which phone has the best battery life?
The desire had decent battery life with leedriod rom, but I am looking for much better.
Thanks
I don't what to appear facetious but your question is like comparing Haagen Dazs and Ben and Jerry's ! I was very tempted by the Incredible S but in the end I sprung for an unlocked Nexus S (super lcd) and I don't regret my choice. The Incredible S has a more tempting specification but it just doesn't feel right. It feels heavy compared to the Nexus S and there's something about the feel and the curved screen on the Nexus S that makes it very special. Above all, I know that the HTC is due for an update to 2.3.4 very soon but I've been using Google Talk for a month now, and already I couldn't live without it. As for the solidity of Samsungs, I always believed that they were fragile but so far after 1 month (unprotected) in my jeans pocket my Nexus is pristine, although it gets wiped and polished at least twice a day. In conclusion my advice is to not underestimate the importance of the software and the speed of ota updates which so far for me have been lightning fast. One final BIG question : is the bootloader on the Incredible S still locked and signed by HTC ( S-ON or S-OFF) ? If it is, happy hunting when you want to root/flash it - despite the availability of AlphaRevX. I rooted my Nexus S in the time it took to plug in the USB cable + 2 minutes . Good luck, whichever you choose.

I never got fantastic battery life with the Nexus S because the SAMOLED screen sucks it like crazy. It would easily account for more than a third of my battery usage throughout the day.
but when you guys think about it, the nexus is googles flagship model. not only is it meant for development, it gets official updates immediately

Totally agree. I have an Evo 3D and Nexus S 4G (AMOLED) and the only reason I can't use the Nexus for more than a day at a time is because AMOLED eats so much battery when displaying white, which is in most of non-system apps/menus. I don't give a damn about the extreme contrast ratios (nice but highly inaccurate). I want battery life. My Evo 3D gets 15 hours minimum with medium usage, which is amazing considering that when I was using an Evo with an extended battery, that was above average.
EDIT: Also for some reason when typing on ANY keyboard, it doesn't register certain taps on keys and it REALLY pisses me off. On my Evo 3D I can type with barely any typos.
Nexus S lol. You would get better life gingerbread is always the best for it just like CM7 great life.
I have a epic im using and I love it so far over the evo 3d

I would, if I didn't have to pay out the wazoo for it lol. Hardware-wise, it'll smoke the Sensation 4G, well, except for resolution! But, even with that, it has the SAMOLED+ screen which is probably much better than ours (even though ours is pretty good).

HTC build quality is much better, plus I'm an HTC loyalist. HTC phones always feel more solid and sturdy than the plasticky samsung phones. They're too light weight almost and feel like I could break them with my bear hands. I like the aluminum frame of the Sensation. I'm very happy with my sensation. SAMOLED screens are better in most cases, but I had a friend who owned a vibrant and that screen had an annoying blue tinge, as do most of the samoled screens I think. The screen I have has very pure whites and surprisingly dark blacks, and is fine in sunlight, especially compared to my old phone. I can read texts just fine in bright daylight, this screen is very bright. Plus the resolution is higher. I love the qHD screen.

Sgs2 is Samsung galaxy uhh woops. Its sg2 lol.

Sg2 is dual core.
I like sense and I have feeling sense will only.get faster with upcoming roms but if it doesn't seem to get much better I'm definetly going sg2.

Why...
Are people on here so addicted to new tech that they will jump to another phone as soon as a new one comes out?
I got the phone I wanted on a 2yr contract knowing that in less than 6m it would be surpassed by something newer but not neccessarily better.
I like the Sensation and can't see me changing for the S2 espec as I would not be able to cover the cost of a sim-free version.
If I had wanted the S2 I would have got it and then lived with it for the life of my contract
The Sensation is not a perfect phone, but it's a darn good one (better than the iphone 3g) I came from.
I dont think the phone will be any faster than the sensation considering its not shipping with the exynos SOC/
So outta curiosity how truly good is cyanogenmod? Someone who really knows his stuff.
Cause I tried it on sensation just a bit ago and although yea it is quick it didn't blow me away. Went right back to sense.
Also deriving from what I mentikned up there I saw someone post something about a new nexus s being faster then cyanogenmod??
I mention this because one of my friends whose a girl and knows nkthig about phones had soooo much crap on the nexus s. It was the sprint version I believe. And with like three messaging apps all running, many different browsers, and seriusly a whole lotta crap the phone was sooooo fast.
I literally was stunned. It was stock and every single thing I did on it was instantaneous.
And u know when u see bunch of stuff in notification bar and u just kinda know it ll lag a bit. I felt that but was surprised with zero lag.
It sadly has me thinking...

The Sensation has a higher resolution screen, and that hits performance because the phone has to push data to more pixels; also the Sensation and SG2 have similar processors (as you pointed out) but the Sensation runs at 1.2 MHz and the SG2 runs at 1.5 MHz.
ROMs aside, the SG2 is faster on paper.

I agree with you I have always like the HTC build quality but performance wise they have been lacking and the debacle the caused with the so called Bootloader unlock then say screw you no warranty was the icing on the cake. I came from a Evo 4g to the Sensation to the Epic 4G Touch resolution not a problem for me. the performance and smoothness of the OS what's going to appeal to the OS faithful that may come running seeing that Apple decided to give them nothing. this year basically all this hype and they got what would be a 3GS to the 4g lol.

I will give you that. I love HTC Sense as well but I believe that as of right now its to bloated and holding back what the processor is really capable of.

well i got play with the Amaze a couple days ago and i can tell you for a fact that the processor is definately snappier in stock form , i was getting 2700 quadrant scores with it stock , now with that said i think the SGS2 will be alot faster running a more vanilla android, I am planning on getting a SGS2 and i cant believe im even saying that ,reason being is that the sensation is falling apart on me , the glass coverig my camera lens fell out and that wasnt a big deal to me until the rocker on the volume button fell off , now i dont know if flashing three thousand times already has something to do with it but im a little dissapointed by that. all being said i just want a bigger screen and thats the main reason plus it gets the better processor and front camera
Not me
I wanted an SGS2 bad enough to almost buy one from overseas unlocked when they first hit the market. But since Samsung decided to release it here last, there are new phones coming out before the end of the year that by far surpass the SGS2. America is the largest consumer of High-end smart phones (yes, i researched it) mainly because we constantly upgrade to the newest and best. Samsung was stupid to release it here last. If someone gave me an SGS2 in trade i'd do it, but it's not worth sinking more cash into a new SGS2 when quad-core is literally right around the corner. Plus phones like the Sharp Aquas and the Note (can't remember which company is making it) will be out in a few months and they surpass the SGS2 in speed, display, screen size, etc. (and these aren't event quad-core as far as the specs ive seen, but still better than the SGS2).
Anyways, that's my 2 cents. I'll be waiting for a Quad-core device with Ice Cream Sandwich. Plus, the PS vita is quad-core and you can make calls from it Better than PS3 graphics in the palm of my hand! Talk about a gaming device! hahahahah

Switched from Galaxy S II to Sensation

As the title states, I've switched from the Galaxy S II (T-Mobile variant) to the Sensation. While most people might say why would you do such a thing hear me out first. I was offered $200 cash and a mint condition Sensation with all accessories included for my GSII and I needed cash (Christmas to blame) .
I am honestly impressed with the Sensation. Browser scrolling is a million times faster and smoother than the GSII, the screen looks gorgeous on the Sensation (no pixelation at all thanks to QHD). The only thing I miss with the GSII is the gorgeous video/picture quality and louder speaker. Surprisingly I've noticed that my data connection is even better.
I also love that the dev community is larger over here.
EDIT: I've owned a Sensation 4g when it first came out and had nothing but hell with it. This Sensation doesn't overheat, doesn't have signal issues or screen issues like the one I had way back. I love this phone.

Thanks for the welcome. Although its more like a welcome back since I've owned this phone before. I definitely love this phone. Don't get me wrong the GSII was a great phone also.

Interesting to get a proper comparison between the two from somebody will actual experience (instead of the 'my dad could bash your dad' type comments we usually see).
I looked at the GSII before getting my sensation and generally didn't like the feel of it in my hand. That might sound like a lame reason but in reality there isn't much difference in the hardware, and software / firmware is pretty much irrelevant once you root it
I've been playing around with my mother in laws Tmobile SGII, and there are definitely pros and cons to both.
I love the screen size of the Samsung. It's damn near perfect in that regard. And let's not even talk about the black level and colors. They both outclass the sensation. But the resolution jump is definitely noticeable on the sensation. I'd love the Samsung screen with higher resolution.
As far as speed and smoothness goes, sometimes the Samsung is kinda choppy and slow. The sensation seems a bit zippier to me sometimes. Both stock.
But, if given the chance to trade for a Samsung.......I'm not so sure I wouldn't.

The Sensation and the Galaxy S2 came out around the same time to go against each other and both are really good phones. Sucks that we had to wait until 2 months ago for the S2 to come to the states, if not then I would have probably gotten the S2. But then again I've always been an HTC person and love the build quality on their phones. But one thing, I've been following the Sensation since the pyramid rumors and really couldn't give up.

I honestly don't mind Samsung's plastic build. Its not that bad in my opinion. It surprisingly is sturdy. The battery cover is the only piece IMO that feels cheap. Especially when peeling it off.

Haha well, the Snapdragon SGS2 we get in the states isn't nearly the same as the Exynos version of Europe. Either way, good to hear I'm not missing out on much with the TMOUS SGS2.
Interesting how you said data is better on the Sensation. How about cellular signal? Do you notice a drop with the Sensation's stupid battery cover antenna?
Oh and welcome back. And Merry Christmas.

The GSII outshines this phone in just about every department spec wise. Larger battery (1850 mah with NFC chip), 2mp front cam, louder speaker, etc. Also maybe its just me but the screen on this phone doesn't feel as sensitive as my GSII did when texting on the keyboard.
I AM NOT BASHING THIS PHONE IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM!
On another note, I do love how optimized the software is. TouchWiz was a little choppy and laggy for me. Sense 3.0 feels so smooth. I also love having a led flash even though there's alternative apps that can serve as a notification for the GSII. I am even more than grateful for our dev community (even though my phone isn't rooted yet). I think the screen size on the Sensation is just right. The GSII's screen was a little too. Wide and long for my fingers. The phone would often hurt my fingers trying to pull down the notification bar for example. Users with larger hands would love the GSII's screen real estate. I love both phones equally.

I do notice that the Sensation has the dead grip issue, which most phones have. With GSII I didn't really notice the issue at all. The Sensation seems to be loading web pages significantly faster than the GSII. I don't believe all the hype about 42mbps (GSII) vs 21mbps (Sensation) although the GSII was no slouch when it came to browsing the net in well covered areas.
EDIT: Merry Christmas to you too.

Am I the only one who thinks that the Sensation's screen is too tall? Keeping your hand in a position to reach the capacitive buttons and the status bar is damn near impossible. 4" screen would've made this phone golden IMO.

I do admit that a 4 inch screen as Arron (from Phonedog) would say "is the sweet spot". My old Vibrant and Nexus S made me realize this quickly. The benefit of that extra .3 inch is more screen for viewing, but I honestly wouldn't mind buying a super phone with a 4 inch screen.

I was choosing either the GS2 or Sensation. I went with Sensation and I regret it so much.
Don't make my mistake.
When they first came out everyone was talking about them. Now its only GS2 and Nexus talk. Sensation isnt even relevant anymore

The GSII is relevant commercial wise. Check out the dev community and see which device is more relevant. We have a couple different ICS roms working already. The GSII has none. We have more devs and that's not just because this phone was released earlier, I believe timing played apart of it. This phone was released around the time of the G2x and a lot of people didn't want to take a chance with LG so they chose this phone instead.
EDIT: That's like saying the HD2 or G1 isn't relevant anymore when those 2 phones have one of the largest dev community. Just cause you don't see commercials doesn't mean it isn't relevant.

Interesting. It seems you have gotten a almost new sensation. Not to be mean, but the problem's with the sensation first comes after a while, mine sensation was the best in the first few weeks, but after that it just went down.
Also I disagree on that the sensation got a better screen. The SG2 does have the best screen available.
But you did for Christmas so it wasn't that bad
The only problem I have with my HTC Sensation is power button which is fixed in ICS and of course the power use issues which take a lot of tweaking even with a bigger battery.

I'm sorry but, wut?
800x480 on a 4.52" screen... awesome... not!
newer android phones like the Galaxy Nexus has the best screen out.
I'd take the qHD screen over the one on the SGS2 any day of the week.
I've had my Senny since launch and have yet to have any problems.
not sure what kind of problems you had with your Senny but perhaps you got a defective unit.
I think the 4.3"(with 16.9 aspect ratio) screen is perfect.
Not sure how I'd feel with the bigger screens coming out now but that seems to be the way it's going so...

I love the GSII but you're right about the screen not being superior to the Sensation as far as resolution. When it comes to colors and use in the sun the GSII almost has no glare at all. The blacks are actually black! Both phones are great. Its just a matter of preference. The whites on the Sensation are actually white versus the GSII blueish white hue.

Welcome =).
My other half has a S2 and at times im jealous that it feels so smooth and kicks my phones ass at almost every benchmark. I have to enable both cores and use a different kernel to keep up. to her stock phone. Samsung do make some quick internal specs. Shame it looks like a childs play thing
Still my XE is still the better phone for its better looks and awesome user experience.

After the Sensation what?

So, the Sensation has been out for a while and for me it has not lived up to my expectations. ICS is right around the corner for me but I'm sure it will make things somewhat more bearable until I do upgrade.
What is everyone planning on replacing their Sensation with?
Yesterday, I got to mess around with the Galaxy Note. All I have to say about that phone is that it is obscenely big. I love it. It's the only phone out now that is something truly different. Too bad it's AT&T.
The only other thing that is currently for sale is the Galaxy Nexus. Other than the fact that it's running ICS there isn't much to get excited about. I think I'm going to just keep my Sensation till the New Nexus phone is released and get on that one early.
I'm not a fan of Samsung's phones or touchwiz but I feel like HTC is just making phones while Samsung is experimenting with new forms and new ideas. If Cyanogemod 9 was out and if it were available on Tmo I'd be all over the Note.
What are you hoping to replace your Sensation with?
after so much Android, I'd like to try an iPhone or a WP7 device. then again I have my XE since one week only so I'm still in love
Replacing it now with Galaxy Nexus, ordered international version on dailysteals. I do not need the latest and greatest but want to have no skins and reliable software. I had custom ROMs since G1 but want to see how reliable is original Google software on hardware they test it with.
Sensation will go to DW who will replace her Vibrant.
Galaxy Note.
Or it's future WP7 equivalent because I can.
I'd go for the next iPhone only if it will have a 4" display. I really want to get myself an iPhone and see for myself what's all the fuss about.
But if Jellybean will be as innovative as ICS was when it launched I will definitely stay with Android and go for the next Nexus.

lol there is no fuss, limited close OS with ugly tiles and SMOOTH UI.
Just go and grab am iPod Touch if you really wanna how it looks and acts
I really love the look of new Sony xperias....specially the bottom strip....but i think i need to sacrifice on performance and available rom options if i wanna go with Sony.
Im keeping my sensation for a good while the nexus doesn't worth it 3hours screen on time max bad reception camera isn't great however great display and i have ics on my phone so the gnex isnt so special ...
Will get xperia s once it comes out for canada

Holding out for quad core. Sensation is a great phone for me, minus the dust issue that I'm about to solve with some gasket goo... I'm on phone 4. There really isn't anything spectacular out there for me.

Never had a Sony Xperia phone but have heard that they have some of the best optics and Sony is developer friendly. Too bad the good ones hardly come to the US.

On the contrary! As someone else said, sony have become very dev friendly and seem committed to updates. Most xperia phones are getting CM builds too.
That being said I'm loyal to HTC for now - sense is the best skin IMO and AOSP also sick and I have the option of both! While the one series looks sick, I think the sensation will do me fine for at least another year. As of right now quad-core isn't a necessity for me... but we'll see

yea i guess u would need a heat sink or some kinda fan on the back of a quad core device too cool it down....
Wherever the developers go, and some of the best stick with HTC phones. Prolly gonna end up with the ATT One X if TMo doesn't get it.
I just got my sensation. To be honest, in my opinion, companies comes out with every new versions of everything. But all in all, they're all the same. I was gonna wait for the HTC One S, but I figured, .3 difference on speed, just a little better on screen res. and beats? Not much of a difference, the sensation alone is fast and snappy, there is no reason for me to get anything high end because the sensation itself is a good device that pretty much do all the work. That's just me though AND, the sensation has a lot of love from the DEVs.

My personal experience is contrary.
My colleagues at work have iphones 4s. They often take photos for documentation. Their pics are generally ok for a phone camera but nothing special.
From what I see on a nearly daily base in real world, iphone photos are in no way superior to the pics I took with my X10i or take with my Sensation, which I think look remarkably clear.
Iphones produce exactly the same amount of crap as other phone cameras do.
Be warned ;-)
