Hi All, I purchased an SIM unlocked Sensation in the United Arab Emirates recently however I reside in Canada using the Rogers network.
The phone I bought is setup for HSPA/WCDMA: Europe/Asia/T-Mobile US: 900/AWS/2100 MHz and Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
But Rogers is using their HSPA+ on 850 and 1900 (I believe)
Is there ANYTHING I can do to the phone I have to get it to work on Rogers HSPA+... Right now it is only working on the EDGE network and I can't stand it!
I have the exact same situation...sensation xe bought in UAE, now on rogers and only picking up Edge....even with 3G apn set....grrrr
hi, im new to XDA. but does anyone here know if an unlocked TMobile HTC Amaze will work on ATT's 3g/4g network???
Please reply if you have any insight on this subject matter, thanks!!
Nope, tmobile bands are different from at&ts 3g/4g bands. I heard telus is getting it too and that one will work with at&t 3g/4g

I have an unlocked Amaze, and while you can insert an At&t 4g sim, it will not get any of the HSD**, it will only lock on 2G...very ssslllooowwww. Voice, not a problem, but the phone comes with T-Mobile data radio. I inserted my at&t SGSII sim.I even added all known APNs for at&t 3g/4g, nope...don't work

T-Mobile USA High Speed data bands: 1700 MHz/2100 MHz UMTS AWS
At&t High Speed data bands: 850 MHz UMTS/HSPA 3G 1900 MHz UMTS/HSPA 3G 700 MHz LTE 4G
They are different.

Hope this helps
Check the amaze forums
There is a thread on this in the htc amaze forum, they say it may be compatible. Also the box says that it carries the bands for at&t. Check out the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1300714

Hello, i want to buy an unlocked sensation xe or xl, cant find if this international version is compatible with 850 or 1900 3G frequencies. Which are the only 3G frequencies available where i live.

Or this one
amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B006546GWG/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1327412673&sr=8-1[/url]
Anyone know if i will be able to use them on the 850 or 190 mhz 3G frequencies?
Hi,
i am planning to buy this mobile
https://negrielectronics.com/htc-sensation-xe-unlocked-white.html
i can see that this is a Australian model.
Network band : GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900,HSPA 900/AWS/2100
I am kinda of sure that indian networks use 2100MHZ for 3g and my T mobile HD2 worked perfectly with 3g
Does this mean this Sensation XE will also work because it does support 2100MHZ?
Also what is the difference between HSPA and HSDPA?
And this AWS is something to be concerned ?

HSDPA : High Speed Downlink Packet Access
HSDPA is basically 3G at higher speeds and often called 3G+ or 3.5G
HsDPA is to 3G as Edge is to GPRS
Now as for your other question, yes, to the best of my knowledge, most frequencies are supported on the XE.
Hi everyone,
I'm planning on purchasing the HTC One S, I've been comparing some of the specs on the handset with other phones around the same price range and under the Network section, I can see that majority of phones have 1900MHz support under the 3G section or HSPA/WCDMA (Europe), the HTC One S does not.
I'm based in London, UK. Will I have any problems, how will this effect me? Does this mean the 3G network signal will be weaker than other phones?
HTC One X
HSPA/WCDMA - Europe/Asia: 850/900/1900/2100 MHz
GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
HTC One S
HSPA/WCDMA - Europe/Asia: 850/900/2100 MHz
GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
Can anyone help?
