Belkin Bluetooth Keyboard Folio (F5L090tt) - Will it fit? - TouchPad Accessories

I know there are tons of topic about iPad cases that will work for the HP Touchpad, but nothing has ever been said of the Belkin Bluetooth Keyboard Folio for Apple iPad 2 (F5L090tt) -
http://www.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=551573
I know about the dimension thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1275443
So my question: Will the HP TouchPad fit into the Belkin Folio - http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Bluetooth-Keyboard-Folio-F5L090tt/dp/B005DKZSTU ?

Just found this one as well for $30 not bad if it works.

I don't think it will work well since the corners of the HP Touchpad are exact. Also, this is for the iPad 2, no the iPad 1.

Ah so it has to be for the iPad1 for a better chance that it will fit?

Correct, see the dimension thread I mentioned above. Since I want to use a folio case where the tablet slips in, it doesn't have to me an exact fit. But, you want to use a hard case, so it needs to be exact.

This Kensington for iPad 1 and 2 fit fine
only except a bit of the top is cut off, I was considering doing a bit of a cut out but I thought better of it.

I should have bought this one. But it would have costed me 50 dollars more.

Detachable keyboard, everything.
*sigh* You get what you pay for I guess.

[Q] Clamcase and HP Touchpad

So anyone know if the clamcase for the iPad 1 will fit the HP Touchpad?
http://clamcase.com/clamcase-ipad-keyboard-case-trooper.html
I've included a link to how it looks like.
In theory yes. But I don't know.
I think the TP has a more pronounced curve to the back and with it's bevelled sides (as opposed to the iPads straight ones) I'm not sure any hard case will hold it, but the only way to find out is try it and see.
Isn't the TP thicker?

Most definitely. Not much, but probably enough to matter in something like that.
I bought a griffin standle (iPad1) to see if it would fit or could be made to fit. The top and bottom halves were a good millimeter apart when the TP was inside and could not be made to meet. The TP is shorter/thinner in height/width as well as deeper so no form fitting hard iPad1 case is going to work.
I think iPad 2 cases will fit it, but not iPad 1? I can't remember. They're very similar in form factor.
No m8, the iPad2 is much thinner.
The TouchPad dimensions are 9.45 x 7.45 x 0.54 in. (240 x 189 x 14 mm) and it weighs 26.10 oz (740 g)
If you get the inside dimensions of the case in question you can tell easily.
Remember, size DOES matter - bigger is ok, smaller is not.
Clamcase with HP Touchpad
Bumping this old thread. Did anyone every find out if the Clamcase for the iPad 1st generation will fit an HP touchpad? I'm looking for a good solid keyboard case w/my HP Touchpad and all the faux leather silicon-based keyboard ones out there suck..
So... WILL THE CLAMCASE (IPAD 1 VERSION) FIT THE HP TOUCHPAD??
NO!
Bump..... has anyone tested this as of yet?

Accessories

This is just a placeholder for accessories
charging/usb connector the same?
does anyone know if the 7.0+ is compatible with original gtab cords and maybe even dock connectors for that matter??
I hear the cases will fit but will be a "little" loose.
I'm curious if the screen protectors are the same or not?
should be close enough, you can always trim it. I have seen screen protectors and anti-glare advertised for 7.0+ on amazon.

me either, I already ordered one, so I will wait and see. and I just got a skinomi skin for protection from scratches, etc. many cables were advertised as working with 7,8.9,10.1 tabs, so i figured the 7.0+ would be the same.

I picked up an original Galaxy Tab HDMI Dock for under $15, and it works fine so far. You have to be a little careful inserting the 7plus, since the holder is a little narrow and deep.
So far, it's fine for docking and charging. I still haven't tested the HDMI port, but since it supposedly works with the 10.1, I would imagine it would be the same for the 7plus. Once the cable arrives, I'll confirm.

Any luck with the HDMI cable? I went and bought an original tab HDMI dock like yours and noticed the tight fit. I felt like it would eventually scratch the tab, plus (see what I did there?) it was a pain to get in. My solution...Dremel. I took shaved off the sides bit by bit until the tab was still supported but no longer squeezed. It works awesome.
Hdmi works great I get 1080p to my 55".
Has it been confirmed that the HDMI part of the original HDMI dock works?

I have the same sleeve and love it!!!! I did add an anti-glare film and have just ordered a skin to protect the back and sides; this sleeve isn't lined with a soft micro fiber.
Car Mount
Has anybody used the OEM vehicle mount? I had the last one for the original GT and the suction cup & arm were able to be removed from the rest of the mount. This allowed me to use a permanent mount from RAM. Is this the same with this version as well?
Got one and love it! found it a little cheaper on ebay.

Inductive Chargers for the Touchpad

Does anyone know if the Powermat or the Energizer charging platforms will work with the TP? I was in Target this past weekend and noticed that they were clearanced for 75% off retail price. The idea is nice but I don't want to waste $30 if it won't work.
No neither one will work with your TP. I don't think it would even recognise it was on the charger.

$29.99 + $5 shipping ($35) Used is worse than $36.99 + FS New at same url unless at the time you originally posted there were better prices on used.
Yea why would you not go with the touchstone
I really like my TouchStone. Not plugging in cables, and having a real "home" for my TouchPad when not in use is great. Plus it works with the HP case, something I also really like.

Which case are you talking about? I'd love to be able to charge without having to stretch out my case. I hardly use my touchstone because my folio is starting to get loose.

you could turn it horizontally so gravity doesn't mess with it, or lay it down flat, then put touchpad on top

Pretty much any case as long as it's not too thick (and doesn't have metal between the tp and ts). I have a 'leather' case that works fine sitting on the ts and a tpu form fitting case that also works well. This one is now permanently on the tp and will fit into the leather case but the two together will not allow the tp to charge on the touchstone.
So it seems there are no "3rd party" chargers available?
I want a touchstone, but all the cheap ones are in the US and they don't ship to Australia
In Australia (or anywhere that is willing to ship here) pretty much charges double for the dock ($70?!), and that's not even counting shipping yet.

Slip case recommendations?

I'm thinking I'll dump the folio that I've been using for a slipcase.
The reason is I don't really need or want a stand and I'll probably start using the tab on a mount in my truck anyhoo.
I believe it may be just easier to hold onto the tablet then slip it for protection.
I'd like to find something dawg hair proof (like there is such a thing)
Been scouring Amazon plus I looked at the Fry's near us, but searching just wears me out.
Soooo I turn to the illustrious members of this great forum for perhaps a place to start.
Searched the forums and found a few dated threads.
You mean this kind of case http://www.bodyguardz.com/universal-tablet-sleeve-protection-cases-covers-sleeves-shield.html?dir=asc&order=sort_priority ?
if you are looking for one with some protection. The one I have is great (especially if you have the dock as well).
google "built ny hoodie laptop case" and look for the 7-10" one. Tablet fits in it like a glove and it has some protection on the sides and back (unlike a normal neoprene sleeve)... though it is obviously alot thicker than just neoprene
I managed to find mine at Canada Computers for CAD $4.99 on sale (in black.)
sorry cant post links yet..

FYI, that sleeve will not fit with Transformer. If you look at the dimensions of the iPad and Infinity, they are different. That sleeve is for the iPad. Cancel your order.
I bought a HP sleeve before that was on sale for 1$. It fits my iPad but not my Infinity.
This would probably work well if you have the dock.

Just got this one in. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006IKHPZO/ref=oh_details_o02_s01_i00 It is padded, semi rigid, and will fold into a stand.
I just got this one (Oops, can't post links yet. Search Amazon for "TSS13505US") and I'm happy with it, especially for $8.99 and free shipping. My Infinity + Dock fit nicely inside and the padding feels quite protective.
I got this HP 10" netbook slip case, someone suggested on here: http://www.amazon.com/HP-WV594AA-10-2-Inch-Sleeve/dp/B003UT7QD2/ref=cm_cmu_pg__header. Works nice. Has a pocket to store cables, chargers, portable stands, and so on. If you go the link, the six pictures on the case on the red desk, are from me. There is a picture of the TF700 in the case, and various stuff in the pocket. Plus, it's only $10
Brenthaven Pro Sleave for Macbook Air. Superb case for Tablet with Dock. I have two one for the TF300 and one for the TF700
It's like it was made for it. Nice thing is, if they have it in stock you can try it at your local Microcenter rather than ordering online without seeing. They have two sizes, the smallest one fits the TF700 and TF300. If you order from Brenthaven's website it comes in multiple colors.

Seeking an easy slip-in car dock with integrated USB jack

I had a nice car dock with my bionic that allowed me to put the phone in on-handed. It held the phone in a landscape format. I would love to find the same for my S4, although the USB on the S4 is at the bottom so that might be difficult. I'll settle for one that can hold the phone in portrait format also. I have seen some nice looking car docks, but they all seem to require a two handed operation in plugging in the cable. I want a one-handed drop-in and flip-clip to secure it against inertia.
Right now, I have jury-rigged a desktop cradle and it works somewhat well, until I drive on a really bumpy road... hence the "inertia" part.
Has anyone seen such a beast?

I initially balked at the price, but the craigsdocks are hand made solid aluminum.. I might need to get me that one. It looks solid. Thanks for the tip.
Edit: Look at the videos. Craig is not a vendor. He's a craftsman. These are well worth the price.

Yeah, he seems like a really nice guy too. I've chatted with him by email several times about his product. He's totally enthusiastic about his designs and implementation! And listens to suggestions/ideas as well.
I'm very happy knowing that this one dock is going to work with several future generations of Galaxy products and it's built so tough (aluminum) that it'll never wear out.
Definitely a long-term type of purchase!
I received my craigsdock today and it is exactly as advertised. I am now able to use my otterbox defender case full time. It would not fit even with docks that had removable shims to accommodate larger cases.
I wholeheartedly endorse craig's docks
