Rooted and flashed CWM with Odin, then flashed Sky Ice Cream Sandwich. Where do see if I tripped the counter?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk
On the download screen under custom binary. It'll say yes or no. If it says yes it will say 1count or 2counts depending on how many times you've tripped the flash counter.

Is that in Odin?

No. The download screen is the one you saw when you flashed cwm with Odin. When you had to put the phone in download mode? That screen

What does tripping the flash counter do exactly? Does something bad happen if you flash too many times?
Mostly for returning to ATT if something happens to your phone (insurance) If they detect flashing, it voids the warranty. My concern was if I tripped the counter when I used Odin to flash CWM. I've read conflicting stories. From what I understand its only when you flash a ROM, correct me if I'm wrong.

not to read too much into the word "mostly", but is there any other known reason? other than simple aesthetics with the yellow triangle.
It does not.hurt anything. The counter is only so they can tell if you had non stock flashes. Mabye to see how many people root and flash and mabye for warranty exchanges. It only trips if you flash a non stock kernel in odin though. It wont trip flashing the stock tar.
is there any way to reset the counter?
I see an option in odin3 1.85 for F. Reset Time?

When you download the app on a not supported device it gives you the option to do a system dump and save it on your SD. Then email the system dump to the app developer to help make it possible for our device. The more skyrocket system dumps he gets the better chances we have of getting it I'm sure.

I will do that right now.
Phandroid member "nasscar" has created a zip that he says will reset flash counter for Skyrocket. I have not tried it yet.

If you want to check it, the only place I know that shows it is when you're in download mode.

Has anyone be able to flash the Sky Jelly Bean ROM - 4.1.2 Update 11.4 to a Samsung Galaxy S2 LTE I727R?
I've loaded other ROMs fine,
I've followed the form steps from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1902502
AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727
> AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket Android Development
> [Rom]Sky-JellyBean-4.1.2) Update 11.4 ((Base T11-(11/10/12)) GS3-Touchwiz--Vs--CM 10
Everythings works and seems to be successful but on reboot it get stuck on the Samsung Galaxy S2 logo screen.
Logo video seems to be in a loop, left it for 30mins before recovery back to rogers default ICS rom.
Any help will be greatly appreciated

I'm using Flash ClockworkMod V6.0.1.4.
At the moment I just flashing the base and then rebooting. Haven't applied the updates to the ROM yet as I just wanted to see if the ROM loaded correctly.

Have you checked the MD5 on the downloaded files? Doing the full wipe...system,data/factory/reset,both cashes?
Should work..That's exactly the combo I'm using, except I'm using twrp.
I recommend twrp to install it download goo manager from market then with haptic button install open recovery script.

No you can't. However you can go onto cm's website and download the one for this phone. Or follow the links in original android development section.

That's probably not a good idea, as the kernels are different between different carrier versions. Generally.
Flashing a rom for the international version is the fastest way to get a true brick. Jtag is the only way to fix. Flash roms for your version only.

just to add to whats alraedy been said you might see your verizon s3 come up as d2vzw on some rom downloads.
I've never been one to flash a rom. Not even when I had my S3. I been thinking long and hard about flashing CM10. Do roms update automatically like a Verizon update does? Anything special I need to do before going into this mod if I do?
