HTC Rezound OEM headphone compatibility - G2 and Desire Z Accessories

I'm thinking about buying a pair of the beats headphones that come with the HTC Rezound. Does anyone know if all functions will work with the G2? I want to be able to answer calls and use the mic.

in ear headset compatible with desire z

Im trying to find a decent in-ear headset that is compatible with the desire z, but im having a hard time finding compatibility information.
I found the MM 50 iPhone sennheiser headset witch is compatible with WM HTC phones, but that seams to break real quick and theres no info on HTC android phones.
Does anyone own a decent in ear headset that is compatible with the DZ, and has functions like pick up and maybe forward / back.
fyi, im looking for a headset with microphone obv.
edit: found this one, its compatible with iphone but will it be with desire z?

Headphones compatibility

Hi there guys.
I recently broke my HTC Desire S headphones. The cable cracked and phone has been switching songs and even doing calls on its own when I twisted it for a little. I tried to repair them, but I had to open cable around jack and it doesn't look nice now.
I would like to buy these. Question is: Are those the same as shipped with DS? Does they support SRS sound (or is SRS purely software thing?)?
Thank you for your answers!
Well, yep, shortly after I posted this I was finally able to contact HTC support. They confirmed it's the same model as shipped with DS. Sorry for this topic, hopefully it will be useful for someone .
SRS is an audio enhancing software package, it is not headphone dependant.
Thanks. I'm now using old samsung headphones and my ears are bleeding, even with srs. Htc's hp are way better. Hope I'll recieve new pair soon.

Those HTC headphones shipped with the DS are terrible, just buy this and attach any good jack 3,5 headphones

If your ears are bleeding, you might want to consider not using headphones...

Agree, through them in the bin just a few days after purchasing the phone…
Can samsung headphones work on Htc phones?
any headphones work with the desire s, as ping as it has a 3.5mm jack.
yes, the 3.5mm Samsung headphones from my old galaxy s 2 and galaxy tab worked.
I use Blackberry headset on my HT Desire S; It's work great, accept incoming call and control played music.
Actually the only thing that is HTC dependent is the 4th contact on the stereo jack. How HTC hardware reactes on signals that come through that pin. Anyway, I use decent headphones only, since I'm an audiophie. Well the A/D converter isn't that nice on a phone but still.

audio/sound recorder external mic

Is there anyway to record audio onto the phone using an external mic like this one?
http://www.allthingsdigital.com.au/images/Sony ECMCS10.jpg
It is a standard size jack that fits right into the phone. I figured that since our headsets have mics in them, there must be a way to record audio straight through.
Sorry if this has been answered before, I couldn't find it!
Looking for the same thing...
Hey Folks,
I've been looking for the same thing.
I have a HTC Sensation coming in the mail today as a replacement to my Atrix 4G that is showing it wear.
What I do is vlogging on my motorcycle but I've been having a real issue with my audio setup. I just purchased an external Microphone:
ATR-3350-Omnidirectional-Condenser-Microphone (ON AMAZON)
Now what I want to do is record on the android using the above listed Microphone. Does anyone know if I need a 3.5MM TRRS adapter or other kind of conversion adapter?
Thanks,
NewF

Beats Headphones.

With the announcement that HTC are releasing Beats branded devices complete with 'premium' headphones, could it be that we are finally about to be able to purchase a set of decent headphones with inline remote controls that work with HTC devices? Will the Beats headphones be compatible with older devices and where/when do you think the headphones will be available to purchase separately?
I never understood why so few manufacturers followed Nokia's example and include an inline remote with volume controls and well as play/pause/track skip and or stop that itself contains a jack so you can use any headphones, such a simple but brilliant idea. For me the inline remote controls are more important than audio quality so I use the stock headphones but would love to replace with premium buds.
I know you can jury rig a 3.5mm socket onto the cable which is what I have done to make a cable for my car stereo, but it's too untidy looking for daily use!

Earphones with working mic

I'm currently using Bose MIE2 with my sensation, and is looking to pick up another set of in-ear earphones with working mic. My options are :
1. Klipsch S4i. I've read mixed reviews on whether the mic work with sensation. I know the volume button doesn't work, but that's fine with me. I just want to know if the mic works. I know I should get the S4a, but it's too expensive here.
2. ibeats. Again, will the mic work? the sensation XE beats (urbeats) is available for sale, but it costs twice as much as the ibeats.
3. Razer moray+. Someone already said the mic works. But I'm more concerned about sound quality.
4. AKG Q350
Any advice? Thanks
