Hi, I have problem with sim card, when I reboot or just switch on my phone it does not ask me about pin, I just get into launcher etc. and I have no service, cannot call etc. I'm running on HyperSensation CM7. To get service I have to go into settings > security > set down and up PIN lock for sim.
[SOLVED] That was bacause of disabled phone lock in CM settings
Can I ask how you solved it exactly (what CM settings) because I have a similar issue.
Thanks

I have the Fuze version on at&t network. I've disabled 3G on AT&T's side so there is no way to connect through there.
Nevertheless, my phone ALWAYS tries to connect to the 3G network and i've disabled 3G connections using Nodata.cab, advancedconfig, diamondtweaks.
Still, the warning signs always come up:
"there is a problem connecting to the gprs service in your registered home network warning"
and this occurs, when I turn on the phone and many other times.
Is there a way to disable this warning? I know I cant connect, its because i disabled it!!!!
anyone? it comes up like 50x a day andi have to click OK to make it go away every single time
Have you unchecked the auto update setting for the weather program? Doing this worked for me.
did that, but didnt fix the problem. anything else that can be auto updating or trying to contact the 3G network?
Go to start -- settings -- connections -- connections --advanced -- select network.
Here I think you can change the defaults so that when ever a program tries to use internet it will either use wifi (if available) or nothing....
I have blocked the wireless internet access on all my lines and this is how I solved the problem of getting gprs disconnect warnings.
Hope this helps.
Is it possible to just disable this warning?
I'm switching between my personal and business SIM cards quite often, and I have the data connection disabled on the business card, while on personal I have a data plan, so I want to be always-online.
I disabled aGPS and now i dont get the warning as much. (remember, i disabled GPRS from att side).
when i start my phone, i get 1 warning (i used to get 3?)
maybe i'm on the right track...
But the point is not to disable features so they don't auto-connect to the Internet.
The point is for the OS to try to onnect automatically, but when it failes - it doesn't have to scream that to your face every 5 minutes.
I'm bumping this thread cause I did the same thing and want to know how to disable the message as well.
still no answer to this
Translating from Dutch, so bear with me:
Go to Personal > phone > network settings and put the band on GSM.
Note that you won't be able to use the 3G + H data connections then.
my father has the same problem on his Diamond, need help!
bump, i have the same problem as well
any solutions?
i have a solution.
download > install > and run NOGPRS.cab aka No Data. that will shut it up. i just had the same problem and i did that and now i havnt gotten any... i think i might get like one if i turn the phone on and off and what not, but other then that its fine.
Solution to GPRS warning message
Go to settings > Connections > Connections > advanced > select networks >
now check both options to 'my work network'
click ok
and reboot
the irritating message will go away.
until you again reinstall the sim into your phone and it will automatically reconfigure the settings.
Just repeat the above process.
solution
1. Tap Start.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Phone.
4. Tap the Network Tab.
5. Tap the Network Selection Drop down.
6. Tap Manual.
7. Tap the desired network.
8. Tap Ok.

okay odd one, I was using the nav today, going to a restaraunt, and it stuck at the searching for GPS, mid directions
so I force pulled the battery after it froze, as I couldnt shut it down with app killer, or task manager
phone boots up, wifi works, but now it wont see my SIM CARD for some reason
I already factory reset through the menu section
I cant factory reset since I have CWM (using nvflash) installed and power, volume takes me to CWM for some reason
logcat included
and my cell standby has been at 71% all day
I'm having the same problem...
I turned my phone off this morning for a meeting, turned it back on and now the phone doesn't see the SIM. I flashed CWM 3.1.0.1 yesterday, could that be doing it? I'm not sure how it would be...
I noticed that happened to me a few times, I had to reboot the device on one occasion, and on the other I had to get a new sim card, as all my account data was wiped
I never figured out the issue, just go get a new sim card would be my advice
also watch what charger you use, as I tend to think my generic mini adapter may gave fried one or both of my sim cards
T-Mobile Nationwide Network Issues
I've had a similar problem. After calling T-Mobile I found out that they're having network issues and that manually selecting a Network Operator fixes the issues. I was told that if your phone leaves the network or if you disable your GSM/UMTS radio (airplan mode) devices are unable to automatically re-join t-mobile's network.
To join a network manually go to Settings > Wireless & Netowrks > Mobile Networks > Network Operators > Search Networks > Select any Tmobile Network
NOTE: T-Mobile networks will look grayed out but a long press should do it.
This is not a Metro network unlock guide but a work around for certain circumstances where you may come in possession of a Metro variant Moto G Stylus 2020/xt-2043-4 & it might be totally locked out in the Android setup displaying a message after you press START
NETWORK LOCKED DEVICE
Please insert a valid sim card
Any sim card you insert doesn't do anything except im assuming a Metro sim card but i dunno I didn't have one to try. I had just broke my current device & I'd had this phone in my junk box for months and just sold the only other decent phone I had the day before so I pulled out the stylus and figured I could call metro to unlock it since it wasn't black listed. Well metro tells me that it is tied to another account & nothing they can do will help me but to take it into a Metro PCS store. So the next day I go to a store and the guy there was kind of a prick or maybe I was just pissy cause he told me there's nothing he can do it has to be activated with an account for 6 months before anything can be unlocked. So at this point I'm like F*$*@##!!!!!!
Then I do this crazy thing I do all the time and pull some awesome out of my .... Brain. I decide to do a FRP bypass technique to where I go into emergency call then emergency information click on the edit icon, select the picture then choose select a photo and go to the menu then hold down on Google drive opening the app settings. Select permissions and in permissions there's a search icon and I type in "settings" and select the settings app & open system settings. I connect my phone to a Wi-Fi network then go into apps choose show system apps, scroll down to the network unlock app and opened it and seen that you could open the app so I do and select to permanent unlock the device it's a success and phone reboots and a total bypass to the network restriction phone was now fully unlocked to all carriers.
Step by step guide
Emergency call
Emergency information
Edit emergency information
Select photo, select choose image
Go to menu then long press Google drive
In Google drive app settings go to permissions
Select search & type in settings
Launch settings app connect to Wi-Fi
Open apps choose show system apps
Open network unlock app
Select permanent unlock
And it's all is good your device will now be completely Network unlocked
I hope this helps anyone with the same problem I noticed a lot of posts about the same issue with nothing being resolved so good luck and enjoy your F****** Unlocked Stylus.
If you cannot get a network unlock you can still use the device by following guide except when you go to network unlock app instead go to Android setup in apps and disable the app and it will disable the Network lock screen that you cannot bypass and you'll be able to use the phone otherwise.
hi, purchased this phone second hand locked to t-mob. Speaking with Samsung, they says that it was sold to Sprint. I'm Tmob customer.
Working Samsung, Spring, Tmob my attempts to unlock the phone failed.
Interesting that if I go Settings>APPs, I can find App info for Network Unlock. But the application is hidden. Any way to start it? If not any recommendations how to unlock it?
I was reading here, this all new to me but I gathered that U5.0 Android 13 is impossible to flash to stock FW. Is this correct? Thank you.
OMG i just unlocked a moto e with the same app. Its not hidden its somewhere in settings. Sorry i came across it by pure chance today and was so excited when it worked that i dont remember exactly where it was.
But I saw it in Apps just like you and wondered where it was. Try putting in another SIM card. A message box will pop up saying that you have a new SIM and if you want to network unlock. If that doesnt work just search through settings. It will just be a Button but when i clicked on it, i was asked if i wanted a temp or permanent unlock.I chose permanent. and was accepted right away
@explicitKC - good! But in my case the app is not there. Here is what Tmob says on the subject.
And reading more I see that flashing stock FW will not Unlock the phone, unfortunately. But some web sites advertise the service. Pre-req. is to have phone connected to PC and they will use it to unlock. Dont want to go there as they may drop whatever they want on the phone if have malicious intentions.
