I have used 7.5 gigabytes are they slowing me down?

Ugh...something certainly is. Is that the fastest you get all the time? Indoors? Outside? Do you live in a bunker?
In your status bar, it looks like you don't have a very strong signal. Are things the same when you have better reception?

If your speeds are limited, you'd be getting 1/10th of the speeds in your speed test.
Are you grandfathered into the old unlimited plan?
I don't think you're being throttled. People who have get much slower speeds. I still can't phathom how you people use that much data lol.

Looks like Android 1.6/2.1 AOSP.
Is it Vanilla or whatever?
No dont think so. The "e" stands for edge data coverage which is 2.5g and older than 3g and H. I think its just a screenshot of the old market on an edge data plan android.

Maybe the "droid" from verizon.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
They could've been in an Edge coverage area. I know it's at least 2.1, I had a rom like this on my Vibrant. Thanks for the random guesses ill just have to dig around the web for a while longer.

That notification bar would burn in on the screen so quick it wouldn't even be funny. There's a reason why google changed it to black for the Nexus S/2.3
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
It looks like 2.1 on the nexus one( aka vanilla).
Anybody using this? Worth keeping or not? Ive only been running it a few hours myself. While exploring the app i found something interesting though..

These three images are from the same (scrollable) info screen. Towards the bottom youll see a time stamp of build. Odd? Does anyone else's say this or am i running some seriously outdated s#@t?

Ive been wondering what kind of speed the verizon 4g users have been getting. Ive looked in a couple different forums and cant find any threads on it. Anyone willing to share?
Well a couple of threads down, there was a concern about the quality of HTC's anntenas. You could look there for a bunch of screenshots. Here is mine from then.

On a good night in Columbus OH I see almost 22 Mbps. On average it is around 9. My friend has a Bionic and he sees a litte better speed, but regardless it's really fast.

In Sunnyvale, CA. Not bad...
Is speedtest still suffering from the buffer issue that it originally had? They were reporting a buffer issue that inflated the upload speeds.

IMO, the Speedtest app is NOT reliable or accurate. Instead, use http://speakeasy.net/speedtest.
Some results of mine... Speedtest will typically be more than 50% lower

I'm confused.
Your thread title says Verizon won't let you do something, but the attached graphic lists Alltel.
Are you in the right forum?
I'm going to guess it's a grandfathered plan from when Verizon bought Alltel, that's how I became a Verizon user. If that's the case then why don't you just call them. Don't plan on keeping unlimited data if you have it.
Not really sure why a thread was needed for this. It's obvious you have to call them from your screenshot.
Case closed.

I use pdanet to connect to my laptop through usb and that connection is never throttled even after 500gb. Then make sure your wifi is enabled on the laptop and go into the pdanet settings and pick hide tether usage level 1 then choose wifi share. From there you name the network and give it a password. That's it your laptop is now an unlimited hotspot to share with whichever devices you choose. This should work with a desktop that has a wireless card as well.
