Non-Sense Calendar widget with Facebook - Nexus One Themes and Apps

Tried searching using Tapatalk. Found nothing.
Is there a widget that pulls Facebook.

There is a way around - syncing facebook birthdays/events to your google calendar. When your phone calendar syncs with google calendar, all facebook events/birthdays will display on phone calendar widget.
Its pretty simple - just follow the instructions in the link below :
http://techbu.com/2011/02/04/how-tosync-facebook-birthdays-with-google-calendar
For me, the webcal link could not be copied in google calendar url field, had to manually key it in.
Alternatively, you can use a utility called ebobirthday which is downloadable from the market.
Hope this helps. Cheers !

And if you have LauncherPro Plus , its calander widget will give exactly what you get in sense (post syncing facebook events with google calendar).

thanks. That should do the trick.

[Q][ICS][i9000] No birthdays in calendar from contacts.

Not sure if this is ICS ROM fault but since I've put ISC rom on my galaxyS there are no birthdays in my callendar. I've missed couple of them because of that.
I've tried almost everything but no success so far. I've even bought Business Cal App but it also can't see those dates from contacts.
Did you find out anything new about this? I just noticed the same... I want my birthdays back in my calendar
On your computer:
Open the browser, open up google calendar
Click on settings (right of page, below your avatar)
Click setting
Click on calendars (under calendar settings)
Click Browse interesting calendars
Click More (Holidays, sports, More)
Contacts' birthdays and events ..click subscribe :good:
On your device:
Open the calendar app
Click on the three dots
Click Calendar to display
Check the, Contacts birthday and events
Click Calendar to Sync
Click ok
Give it a few seconds, depending on how many you are syncing. It could be as short as 15 sec to 5 min. This will also depend on the use of wifi or 3/4g.

[Q] LG G3 and Google Calendar

Anyone else having issues where the Google Calendar isn't syncing? In my account settings, the option to sync Google Calendar isn't even listed. I've got App Data, Hangouts, People Details, etc, but nothing about the Calendar. I use the Google Calendar app exclusively, never tried the LG one and hated the Samsung one on my previous phone. I am currently rooted.
Already tried:
Removing Google Calendar and reinstalling.
Removing Google account and re-adding.
Rebooted
Shut down and powered back on
Works here. Did you select it as one of the calendars to sync?

It's not an option for me to select. There is no calendar in the Account Settings and in the Calendar app itself, it is not listed. When I click add calendar, it just sits there with a spinning wheel and does nothing.
Works fine for me.
When you go under your Google Account settings uncheck the Google Calendar sync then recheck it...... that helps sometime.
As was already mentioned twice, that option does not exist for me on my phone. There is no option under Google Account settings to even select the calendar as something to sync. It's just not there at all.
I believe I had a similar problem a few years ago and the issue was the calendar was corrupted in the account. I think the solution was to log into gmail via a browser and copy or make a new calendar. Google search the issue and you should be able to get more exact instructions.

I think you can get it back by adding a second "dummy" account and letting it sync. It's recommended to be on data when doing so.

Well, I ended up doing the full factory unroot process (basic rebuild from factory ROM file). Irritating as it is, my Google calendar now syncs. I'm not sure what was causing it not to, but there it is.

[Q] Contacts and Facebook error along with phone turning to none at 10 pm

I just recently got my replacement nexus 5 phone and updated it to lollipop. But now my contacts and facebook has been creating an error when either one is open. It says "android.process.acore" has stopped. Search and tried methods like clearing contact storage cache and data, but still had the error. The last ting i want to do is factory reset cause I hate redoing all the accounts and redownloading the apps. Is there anyway of fixing the problem?
Also is it just me or does the phone turn to "None" mode at 10 P.M. automatically. Is there anyway to stop that?
For you None issue go to settings/sound and notifications/interruptions. And set the down time to none. No ideas on the other error

But for the down time thing I had the time changed to like 12 but it still goes to none at 10 that's why I find it so weird.
The only way I was able to get the android.process.acore error to go away was to delete the FB app. I open up a thread in their help forums about it and have yet to see any response.

Yeah I did that too. But its so annoying since majority of the games these days is tied in with facebook. It's either you need online to play or for those that don't need online to play its synced to either facebook or google.

I don't sync games to facebook, but that does suck. I'm thinking it is some way that facebook is trying to use the contacts. Or that there is some data in our contacts that doesn't mesh well when facebook is added into the contacts mix. I have even gone through and deleted old htc facebook tags in my contacts. I'm stumped.

I dont know if you notice or is it just on mine, but does your google sync have like a sync error when your facebook is connected?

Yup, hit the nail on the head!
This has to be a contact storage issue.
I wonder if this has anything to do with certain phones being able to sync the fb contacts to the phone contacts, and others require a third party app to integrate the fb and phone contacts? I remember I used one on KK with Xposed. Did you use anything like that on KK?

I Just looked at this Xposed repo and saw something interesting.
http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.dr8.xposed.xfbsync
This has been tested on CM11 4.4.4 Nightly from 06-19-14, but it should work on older CM/AOSP releases as well. Most OEM builds from HTC, Samsung, LG, Sony, etc don't require this, as they modify the ContactsProvider themselves to allow Facebook syncing.

Ok sorry, I am nerding out here.
Saw someone else having an acore error when trying to use a hack to get fb contact sync to work through an sql row injection tool.

Maybe the fb app is trying to force a change in contactsprovider.apk that is causing this?

There was an description in this article i remembered

I did this literally 2 days ago and can confirm it does work. Once you open your events page look down to the bottom right, below Events Happening This Week you will have a small link to birthdays. Copy that link and add it as a new google calendar.
Also +1 for the app sync.me from the playstore. I use it occasionally and uninstall it afterwards as it has other features which I dont want (caller ID etc). The contact pics remain for each user even if the app is gone.

did it, thanks a ton!
I was a bit iffy on the sync.me app due to the ID features and the blocking because I don't need it so thanks for getting me out of it as well
also, this will be continually updated, right? I don't need to re-do this everytime I add a new facebook friend.
No, it is a link to your Facebook birthdays. It will get actualized

I meant: It will be updated as you suspect in your post, cause the facebook birthday calendar is "linked" with this method

Can anyone add your Google calendar to the Huawei calender app?

When I open my default Calendar app and add account I only get corporate as an option. I made sure to add my Google account during GMS settings but for so reason I can't add my Google calendar which is my main calender. Big blow. Again, is it just me or anyone else?
Yes. You need to install both Google Calendar Sync Adapter (which is missing from the currently commonly circulated zip files of GMS apps) and Google Calendar.
On my Mate 30 Pro I experienced the occasional calendar sync jam that would drain the phone's battery, but haven't seen this so far on P40.

I'm using Microsoft Outlook instead of Huawei Calendar, and it works fine with Google Calendar on P40 Pro...
Thanks, i like the look and feel of the huawei calendar, been holding off on installing te google calender, will try now, hopefully it would remain synced if google is unistalled

is the Google Calendar Sync Adapter not on the playstore? meaning it needs to be downloaded from apk sites?

You need to leave it installed. If Huawei calendar is not syncing, open Google calendar and refresh it.
Just disable notifications for Google Calendar and chuck it in a folder.
Export Your Google Agenda(s) via a Web page, you will get a .ical file; unzip it; put the unzip file(s) in a usb key; connect this usb key to your phone; just click one time on this file; select the application Huawei Agenda and Huawei Agenda will import it; that's all
