Nice! trying it now!
Gives me a reason to go back to Froyo haha!
Amazing work as always!!! Everything works as planned!!!
thanks , gonna try it out
Looks good! Thanks!
continue to theme
What are the chances of getting the bar at the top black as well? Like you've done previously.
Love your work.
Oh and, i don't seem to have the background you have when i slide the menu bar down from the top - any ideas?
Thanks again!
Can't seem to get the battery morph to work. Invalid or can't find theme file. I'm seen this before but I can't remember what was wrong. I'm using Froyo.
EDIT: There is no .thm file in the zip file. Maybe it's not a morph and I should flash in recovery?
is the ongoing battery notification part of the update zip or is that a seperate app?
thanks.
To all of you having a problem with the battery . Use the latest version of metamorph and morph it it will reboot and your done if you use anothe mod for the status bar like clear or grey just. Re morph the battery mod
I updated to the latest MM and I'm still getting the cannot find theme control file error message.
EDIT: I deleted my zip file from android themes, re-downloaded and it worked. Thanks.
Is there a version around that shows the battery percentage remaining in the middle of the circle?
If I flash the this theme and then the FroYo gray bar, would it work?

[Theme] Cyanogen7 ColorMOD

Cyanogen 7.1.0 Final ColorMOD + Nightlies
I have spent several hours/days/weeks compiling a simple yet powerfully awesome ColorMOD for Cyanogen7. I would not call this a "Theme" by any stretch of the imagination as all I wanted was some gosh-darned COLOR in my ROM aside from the puke-green of Gingerbread.
I pulled icons from about 7 different theme-packs, I edited a crapton of them in photoshop, and some of them I made myself. I did *NOT* add color icons to the google apps for several reasons, the largest of which is that modifying them can cause them to not update.
If you see any glitches, or an icon I missed please holler at me here and I will fix it immediately. I try to stay on top of the nightly builds as best I can but whatever.
I started this MOD as a request from a friend of mine, and figured it was really nice and maybe some of you out there would like to run it.
I am seriously struggling with the new Theme engine, so this is a .zip flashable that overwrites your default system theme. Other theme packs will of course still work perfectly.

I've been making changes slowly and subtly but I figured it was high and time to make a change-log seeing as I plan to keep this updated due to its popularity.
Changelog:
Added color birthday icon & changed the profile icon when holding down power button (the other one looked out of place)
Added colored icon for the screenshot option when holding down the power button
Changed the vertical color bar from yucky orange to awesome BLUE~!
Updated the WiFi Icon, embossed & changed the single dot to RED when theres no signal
Updated the 4G Icon in the notification bar with ones made by member "Vegasden"
Updated the system Font from ubuntu10.10 to ubuntu, makes scrolling text less laggy and looks the same
Updated window animations to the "Fly-IN" method. Very smooth, very cool.
To Do:
Make the notifications in the drop-down bar transparent (looks like butthole, gonna try and just inverse the colors)
Convert what I can to a theme manager .apk file (WIP, maybe never, Im having issues/lack of help)
And Finally, the Download

TUTORIAL
===========================================================
If you want to modify this theme, use its pictures, make your own themes, distribute whatever, here is my "method" for creating this color modification. Download the files below and lets play "follow-along"
Android "Auto-Sign" Tool
http://www.soulpirates.info/downloads/android_autosign.zip
ColorMOD Template Package
http://www.soulpirates.info/downloads/Cyanogen7_ColorMOD_Template.rar
Open this webpage in a browser
http://uot.dakra.lt/kitchen/
Download the version of Cyanogen you wish to modify
http://mirror.teamdouche.net/?device=supersonic
Download the last previous version of the ColorMOD
Links above
Know how to use Adobe Photoshop
Have a good zip program for opening .apk files (I use 7zip)
_
Step 1:
Download & Extract the latest Cyanogen ROM to a folder on your computer
Download & Extract the latest ColorMOD to a folder on your computer
Download & Extract the Cyanogen7_ColorMOD_Template to a folder on your computer
Step 2:
Rename the ColorMOD folder to reflect the new version number i.e. rename "Cyanogen7-rc4_ColorMOD(stock)" ~> "Cyanogen7-n36_ColorMOD(stock)"
Open folder from the latest ROM & the latest ColorMOD side-by-side
Navigate down to the \system\app folder on both
Notice that the ROM has several dozen apk files, and the ColorMOD has only 5
In the ROM folder, grab the 5 .apk files that you see in the ColorMOD folder
Contacts.apk
Mms.apk
Phone.apk
Settings.apk
SystemUI.apk
Move them into the ColorMOD folder overwriting the 5 that are in there, this way you have the latest versions of them directly from the ROM
Step 3:
Navigate both folders to \system\framework
Open the website
http://uot.dakra.lt/kitchen/
Navigate to the "File Upload" tab
Under "framework-res.apk"
Choose "Select File"
Upload the "framework-res.apk" from the ROM folder
You will now see a progress bar that it is uploading
When it says "Complete"
Click on the tab that says "Windows Animation"
For ColorMOD I use "Flying"
Check the box that says "Use this mod" and click the radio button that says "Flying"
Click on the tab that says "Battery"
Check "Use this mod"
Click on the option that says "SCB with %"
This allows you to use 1% battery increments
Pick ANY option, it doesnt matter, we will be overwriting the battery image files anyways
Click on "Summary" Tab
You will now see three items in green
-Battery
-Windows Animation
-File upload
Click on "Submit work to kitchen" and wait approx 10 minutes.
It will now prepare the framework-res.apk for you that you will be using for the finishing touches on the ColorMOD. You use this kitchen because it prepares all of the REALLY hard stuff for you, such as editing XML files to allow 1% battery and flying in window animations. You can actually just save the xml files it modifies and use them going forward so your not impacting the website, but for this tutorial were going through all the steps from scratch.
Step 4:
Download the file you just "cooked" and save it into your working folder
Open the zip file, it will start with UOT, and extract the framework-res.apk file from it
Now take the "framework-res.apk" file, and OVERWRITE the one in your ColorMOD folder in \system\framework
Step 5:
You are now ready to overwrite the stock image files (nasty green piles of puke) with your beautiful and glorious colorized ones.
Most of this has been prepped for you so it is now SUPER easy. Getting the apk files over and the framework prepared are the hard parts. Now its really just a matter of drag/drop.
Open the ColorMOD template folder side-by-side to the working ColorMOD folder
You will notice that in the \system\app folder you have .apk files that match the FOLDER names in the template folder
Now, simply open the .apk file (I use 7zip), and its corresponding folder in the template
Drag and drop, overwriting all the files when it prompts you
Once you have done that for all of the .apk files in \system\app
Open the \system\framework folder and repeat the same process
Step 6:
You have now replaced every puke-green picture and black & white nonsense with glorious color
Now you need to zip it, sign it, and flash it. Ill show you how to customize it a little bit first
-Close all your folders now except the ColorMOD folder, you are done with the ROM and Template now.
Go to the root so all you see is "META-INF" & "system"
Dig all the way down to \Cyanogen7-n36_ColorMOD(stock)\META-INF\com\google\android
Open the "updater-script" file (I use notepad2)
This should look familiar. Its where you can customize the messages that are played out while flashing the zip file
I shouldnt have to tell you, but dont F*CK with the stuff that doesnt say "ui_print" You have probrably flashed this enough times to know what shows up on the screen and what doesnt. The stuff that doesnt show up, is the stuff that is actually telling the system how to flash the zip file. Anyways, change it up a little, remove my name, put your own ascii art in there, do whatever you want - save/close
You may have also noticed some extra folders in there that we didnt discuss here, "fonts" & "media" ~> Well open them up, the fonts is what replaces your system font with ubuntu10 font, and media is where the bootanimation is located, as well as a few ringtones/notifications I put onto your phone when you flash. You can replace the files in here with whatever you want, add your own bootanimation, dump some ringtones, change the system font etc. When your all done having fun...
-Head back to the root folder so all you see is "META-INF" & "system"
select both folders and zip them up like so
Step 7:
IMPORTANT
-Do NOT flash this if you have modified ANYTHING in the TEMPLATE!!! (This includes ringtones/notifications/etc)
IMPORTANT
You can technically now flash this file, it is signed and ready to go, however, if you modified ANYTHING from the template at all you need to re-sign the file. Signing the file generates a "manifest" of every file that is included in the archive, if you add or remove a file, you need to resign the archive or it will completely bork on install.
To sign files easily, you MUST have the android-sdk installed, I would assume that most of you have this but if not download and install it.
Extract the auto-sign file you downloaded from the top and put the files in the \android\tools folder (android being the folder of your sdk installation)
You will see a beautiful and wonderful .bat file called autosign.bat -YAY!
Move your .zip file to a location that has ZERO spaces in the path. If you have a space the bat file will hang and freeze
To make things easy just put it on the root of your c: drive or something and make sure the zip file name has ZERO spaces
Double check that the patch and file name has ZERO spaces, if your not sure, put it on the root of the c drive and name the file like "a.zip"
Open the autosign.bat file
Choose option (4) Sign files manually
now type the path of your colormod, for example c:\a.zip
Hit enter
If it reads
File signed successfully if no Errors above.
Your good
Step 8:
Copy the zip file to your phone and flash it
Your a god-damned champ! Pat yourself on the back.
Looks like a winner to me! Ty for sharing.

This is Specifically for Nightly 22 (I put that at the very top of the post)
You will need to re-flash rc1, or I would HIGHLY reccomend moving to nightly 22 as it fixes several issues like the gps/wifi/hotspot/ and misc kernel fixes.
here is a link to nightly22, once you flash that it should boot up fine (remember to wipe your cache before upgrading.... no need to wipe data though).
Once you boot up fine, THEN reflash the colormod and you will be happy!!!

NOTE: if you want to stay on RC1 for whatever reason, just download the RC1 mixer theme from this thread, it should get you out of your bootloop

I can darken it up quite a bit or remove it all togethor and do a dark gradient for everyone here. Ill post up some pics later and see what everyone likes.
_______
The screenshots are hosted on my website but I can dump them over to photobucket if anyone else is having issues.

Oh and one final thing, the battery only ticks off in increments of 5. I wouldnt mind doing 1% ticks but I dont know how to edit the .xml files that control how often it pulls the battery image. If any of you have insight, well.... awesome! Drop me a PM.

Waiting for the update for nightly 26! You can probably flash the .zip for 25 over it I assume but I will wait for the new .zip. really does look great, maybe try getting in touch with the developer of the honeybread theme to get your theme into theme chooser!!
Seems like a dirty version of the mixer theme...
Looks great. I like how it isn't overpowering yet you changed enough things that it sticks out in a clean detailed way.

Yes, I did borrow from Mixer, some from Urban, some from a cm6 mod in their hack forum called "colorized". I photoshopped up all the stuff that was still orange, to the blues on "Hue change" (dark blue is +175 and light blue is +155). I also had an old color icon pack on my computer Scramble that I took some from. And a few I just took the b/w versions, embossed them in photoshop, then changed them to RGB color and hue shifted them till i got the color I was looking for. Its not a unique work to be sure, but I think that its a nice blending of the many themes found here on XDA. I did add some noticeable "personalized" touches, like the zelda themed call screen and the bootanimation. I even snuck in some rings/notification sounds if you didnt notice. But overall Im happy with it.
Thank you for the feedback, im glad you are all finding it as useful as me.
Once the final revision of Cyanogen 7 releases, I am going to post up the template Im working from and a quick & dirty "how-to" so you guys can all tweak and modify it however you like.
Also, I spoke with the gentlemen that makes the mixer theme, and he pointed me to a site that is helping me get the 1% battery increments implemented so stay tuned for that!

Here we have the 1% battery increments, and quickpanel toggles for MB865 Moto AT&T 4.0.4 ICS (FOR ODEXED & DEODEXED SYSTEMS).
These were built off of the AT&T ICS leak, so these will probably not work on any other builds. Please use the BootMenu recovery app (found on Play Store), and make a backup first.
NOTE (for odexed only): If you want to remove the AT&T carrier labels from everywhere, install the carrier name removal zip first, then this mod (this mod only removes the carrier name from the status bar & pulldown shade) - if you don't want to remove the carrier name at all, you've got some decompiling to do...

ODEXED SYSTEMS ONLY
Full odexed mod: 1perBatt_DropTogs_ICS_ODEXED(ATT).zip

DEODEXED SYSTEMS ONLY

For deodexed Drop Toggles only (no services.jar - but still has batt icons): DropTogs_ICS_DEODEXED.zip
Credits & Thanks:
I ported these both over to ICS from GB for the A2... then moved them over to the RAZR (it involves a lot of edits, additions, deodexing and re-odexing)
-Major credit goes to nitroglycerine33 for the scrollable toggles
-Thanks also to cogeary for bringing nitro's work to the A2
-Thank you to rdavisct for testing the deodexed 1% and drop toggles (which can be found in the excellent SCV7 ROM)!
-Big thank you to Fall of Enosis for testing and helping me get the toggles odexed!! Hey, a few trials & errors.. but we got 'em Thanks a lot, mate!
-Thanks also to fran7382 for testing out the alternate batt icon and for the screenshot for that.
-Thanks to he_stheone64 for the %'ed battery icons (except the unknown (?) batt image, that was me)
-Thanks to jjdoctor for the alternate battery icons with no numbers.

PORTING THE 1% BATTERY INCREMENTS & DROPDOWN (QUICK PANEL) TOGGLES TO YOUR SYSTEM VERSION
---ATTACHED BELOW IS A ZIP OF THE STOCK DEODEXED VERSIONS OF THE SystemUI.apk AND services.jar FOR YOU TO DIFF/COMPARE WITH THE MODDED ONES - DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FLASH THE ATTACHED ZIP, IT IS FOR REFERENCE ONLY (the framework-res.apk is included so you may set your framework for apktool)---
This guide is based on moving these mods for ICS to other similar ICS-running devices. The process varies a bit going from GB to ICS. Or ICS to JB..
You will need:
Your deodexed SystemUI.apk
Your deodexed services.jar
Copies of deodexed SystemUI.apk & services.jar with the mods
Apktool /Smali/Baksmali tools
Notepad++ or similar text editor
7-zip or similar archive manager
WinMerge or Meld or similar diff/compare tool (a very useful tool that allows you to compare two folders or files side-by-side, and points out the differences for you)

Click to collapse
My “get started” thread may hold some tips for accomplishing the tasks below – check it out HERE
IMPORTANT: This guide is to help you get these mods to your system, for your personal use. If you take the toggles from above and decide to use them in a ROM, be certain to credit nitroglycerine33 for his work.

Don't forget to install your framework for apktool by putting your framework-res.apk next to apktool, cd to that folder (or hold-shift right-click), and do a:
Code:
apktool if framework-res.apk
SystemUI.apk:
-decompile your deodexed SystemUI.apk
-rename the one with the mods to something else like SystemUI2.apk, and decompile also
For the dropdown toggles:
-add quickpanel smali
Copy the “quickpanel” folder from the modded com\android\systemui\statusbar folder to the same location in your stock
-add quickpanel_quick_settings.xml to layout folder
Open the modded SystemUI.apk\res\layout folder and copy the quickpanel_quick_settings.xml to your stock layout folder
NOTE: Some older toggle mods may not have this xml, all of the code was included in the status_bar_expanded.xml (Big thanks to nitroglycerine33 for the new xml code that is so much easier to work with)
-edit status_bar_expanded.xml or status_bar_tracking.xml for new qp xml (see below for options - some don't have the _tracking.xml - it's all in expanded, I think)
Open the modded SystemUI.apk\res\layout\status_bar_expanded.xml and add this line:
Code:
<include layout="@layout/quickpanel_quick_settings" />
(this will put the toggles between the date and notifications)
OR
(this will put the toggles above the date, directly under the status bar)
OR
delete the "include layout" line entirely from status_bar_expanded and open status_bar_tracking.xml
(this will put the toggles at the very bottom, attached to the close bar)
-add 33 quickpanel images
Add or copy the 33 .png images associated with the quickpanel toggles from the modded SystemUI.apk\res\drawable-hdpi to your stock /drawable-hdpi folder
-add qp lines to ids.xml
Open the modded SystemUI.apk\res\values\ids.xml and copy all of the quickpanel ids to your stock ids.xml (there should be 41 lines at the bottom of the xml – selected in the screenshot below)
-add qp lines to strings.xml
Open the modded SystemUI.apk\res\values\strings.xml and copy all of the quickpanel strings to your stock strings.xml (there should be 15 lines at the bottom of the xml – selected in the screenshot below)
-add qp to public.xml
(NOTE: The resource ID’s in the public.xml need to be unique – meaning that no two alpha-numeric IDs can be the same. If you are lucky, you can just use the trick below and copy the resource IDs entirely from the modded xml. So, before you copy and paste, check a few of the modded resource ID’s against your stock. If you need to assign new ID’s, just stop here, compile your SystemUI.apk, then decompile it again and look for the new IDs created in the public.xml – you will then need to copy those resource IDs over to the quickpanel smali files - with a lot of cross-referenceing.)
Open the modded SystemUI.apk\res\values\public.xml and copy the quickpanel lines from the public type = “drawable” (33 lines), “string” (15 lines), and “id” (41 lines) to your stock public.xml (do not worry about the drawables for the battery images)
For the 1% Battery:
-add stat_sys battery xmls
Open the modded SystemUI.apk\res\drawable folder and copy stat_sys_battery.xml and stat_sys_battery_charge.xml to your stock drawable folder and overwrite the existing
-204 battery images
Add or copy the 204 .png images associated with the 1% battery increments from the modded SystemUI.apk\res\drawable-hdpi to your stock drawable-hdpi folder
-compile the SystemUI.apk (make sure that you saved your original signatures (META-INF folder), and do not compress the resources.arsc - meaning, take it out of the apk and re-add it to the apk in "store" mode with 7-zip)
-it is suggested to decompile the newly modded apk, and check that all of your new edits are still there

services.jar
For 1% battery mod only (toggles are done):
-baksmali the classes.dex from your services.jar, and rename the folder to my_classout, or something
-baksmali the classes.dex from the modded services.jar, and rename the folder to mod_classout, or whatever
-edit BatteryService.smali
Open the modded com\android\server\BatteryService.smali and your stock BatteryService.smali with WinMerge or Meld and compare the two files.
(What..? You didn't think I'd do it all for you, did you?)
-reassemble (smali) into a new classes.dex and copy to and overwrite the existing one in services.jar

Click to collapse
If this is for an ODEXED system, you must then re-odex the SystemUI.apk and services.jar. See HERE for how to do that
These were originally ported using a similar process from GB to ICS for the Atrix 2 (except I ended up re-doing all of the resource ID's in the quickpanel smali). Since then, I have used the above method to move both mods over to the RAZR. --- UPDATE 9/13/12: I also used this method to move the 1% battery increments over to CM10/JB for the A2... watch the v3, v4, etc, notation in the BatteryService.smali... pay attention to detail.
Please post questions or PM with complaints.
Big thanks to nitroglycerine33, cogeary, and whoever else first did the smali/xml coding, and all the devs/modders who came before..
can you make a zip that just has the drop down toggles? or instruct me on how to do it? thanks so much!

Oops... hmmm. Sorry bout that. I will make a zip to get you back to stock, but gotta look at my other files.. check op again in a few...
Did you install the one with both first?

No I flashed the one for just the drop down toggles. I almost didn't notice but for some reason the 1% battery mod makes it seem like the battery drains faster lol. I just prefer the stock one.

Ok. Yup, sorry about that. I put the toggles edits on top of the 1% edits, so.. it would take me a little time to separate those. I will probably do that though at some point..
But, in reality, the 1% mod doesn't physically make the batt drain faster.. but, yea, you can watch it go down every 1%, and it feels faster..
Lol I know it just seems that way. But anyways thanks and take your time!
Updated OP with the deodexed versions... which, unless someone is rocking their own custom deodexed ICS, these are only good for those on scv7 (which rdavisct will be updating relatively shortly with this and more..)

The leak is odexed, am I right? That's what I'm on right now. I was on scv7 but restored to a backup I made beforehand.
And aahh now I'm excited!

Yes, stock is odexed. You can always check in your /system/app or /framework folders, and if you see a bunch of .odex files... then your system is odexed.
And, I just PM'd you with something..
And I just noticed, in the zip that supposedly only had the drop down toggles, it had the numbered icons but in 10% increments...

Yup. That's because it was only half of the actually battery mod... it didn't have the services.jar with the rest of the 1% increment stuff (the actual meat & bones of it). So, it was stock 10% increments, but showed you the percentage.. and had way more battery icons sitting in the res folder than needed.
worked
Thanks a lot man ..... u saved my notification bar space :highfive:
waiting for more :fingers-crossed:
Question...since this includes a service.jar file, if I flash this over SCv7 will I loose half of the SuperCharger since it is in the service.jar file or is this service.jar file modded for SuperCharger scripts?

Great question! I honestly don't recall if I used rdavisct's services.jar for the deodexed version.. but, one could, in theory, copy the services.jar from scv7 and reinstall it after flashing this mod..
Or, you could just install the Drop Toggles only mod that I just put back up in the OP (it doesn't have the services.jar included)...
Thanks a million!!! I will try the toggles only mod and report back
Works fantastic!!!
Your welcome altered! Always willing to help you out!
Sadly, I don't have the mods anymore, cause I was one of the Guinea pigs for jims script to get back to 2.3.5 from 4.0.4.
So I am rocking bone stock 2.3.6 right now.
Will be doing so until my new phone comes from at&t. Just because I'd like to send it back stock.

Navbar Soft Keys OneM8 theme

This is a Zip Themer zip file that I created for my One (M8) Lollipop 5.1 stock rom phone. I had searched all over the threads for one and I decided to create one when I couldn't find. The Home Key is replaced by the words "One M8" and a few changes on the back key and recent task list.
I have to give credits to Candy Shop thread ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2383098) where I got the inspiration from. If you don't know how to use Zip Themer, then have a look at the following thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39572221&postcount=18
Also, it is important to understand that in my case I opted to use a rom zip (@Matthew0776 step 4 in configuring Zip Themer) for @digitalhigh the Sense 7 Camera which doesn't have aroma installer (http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...apps/app-sense-camera-gallery-m8-rom-t3008262). I would highly recommend you also use a Rom that's compatible with M8 ROM that you are installing on without Aroma Installer. Else, you could opt use the Sense 7/6 Camera as mentioned earlier.
Zip Themer link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kellinwood.zipthemer
NB: ALWAYS make a Nandroid before flashing. Also make sure you create an undo zip with Zip Themer.

Your views are welcome and probably what soft keys you would like to see.

seems very complicated much better if you mentioned all the step by step
Does it work with Sense 7 ? I tried to install your navbar and everything went fine but in the end my navbar did not change.
Very complicated if you ask me.
1: open the SystemUI.apk
2: drag the drawable-xxhdpi folder out it and edit the navbar icons with paint (or whatever)
3: drag the folder back in the apk and push it via the recovery to system/priv-app/SystemUI/
4: reboot and it's done
