I was curious if anybody could help me. I have a g2x from Wind (p-999dw). I am pretty new to rooting and such but wanted to update my phone. I got it rooted successfully and then tried installing the CM7 Rom update. Backed up with cwm first and then continued. Now my phone is pretty f'd. Every time i try to turn it on it just hangs on the LG screen. I tried the flash recovery method with nv flash and was able to get a cwm recovery menu up but when i try loading the previous working setup, it says successful, i restart the phone and now i get the LG logo with the blue status bar below (which wasn't there before I used the flashing tool) it which moves for a few seconds, then freezes. I've tried every option in the menu and i still cant get past the LG logo screen. Can anybody help me? I've spent hours trying and can't seem find a way to fix it. Don't care if i lose all my data and apps just want my phone to work. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I believe you need to remove the battery then try to boot into recovery (hold volume down and power)

Need to pull battery let sit for a couple seconds reinsert battery. Hold volume rocker down and power until you see the second LG screen should have some blue and purple surrounding the LG logo. After that select wipe data factory reset, then go to mounts and storage and select wipe cache/data/system. If you want do each one twice. Then you can go through the process to flash cm7, don't forget to flash gapps (google apps) as well. If you don't flash those you won't be able to sync your phone with Google and retrieve your contacts and such... hope this helps.

If none of the above works, rom for recovery will definetly fix your problem. Check the development thread it's in there.

Hey guys.
I'm new in the Android world and bought an LG G2 back in november.
I had originally intended to custom install cyanogenmod or KitKat 4.4 to replace stock rom, but I couldn't find a way to install a custom recovery, and was only able to root my device via Kingo Android Root.
A while later I saw an update that popped up, and not knowing any better I clicked install. It was about 114MB. That was about 3 days ago, and my LG G2 has been stuck in a bootloop ever since.
When I try to turn it on the LG logo shows up, then it says "secure booting error"and "Cause: boot certification verify" on the top left corner of the screen in white text.
I tried doing a hard reset, but that didn't work. I don't have a custom recovery so that I can clear the cache and data or something. So pretty much I have a bootlooped phone with no custom recovery, I can't do a hard reset, and it's Sprint and everything's new so it's harder to find a fix.
Does anyone here know of a way I can fix this? It would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
I rooted my phone not too long ago and today during a quick reset to update some modifications I made on Gravitybox, it has gotten stuck in a sort of boot loop. I've tried wiping the cache in modified recovery, booting in safe and download mode, and even resetting factory defaults. But every time I have tried those things, after the LG and android logo screen appear and the Verizon logo screen appears like during a normal boot, it appears the phone is stuck at that Verizon logo screen. I am thoroughly baffled as what to do, because I cannot even manage to get download mode.. I have looked thoroughly throughout the internet but cannot seem to find anyone who has had this problem, so, I decided that maybe someone here might know what to do.
Thanks in advance for any help that anyone can provide!

Kudos on fixing it yourself.
We have a forum for the Verizon LG G4

Hello Everyone,
I have been trying to help my friend with his soft-bricked G3. He wasn't rooted and had never even played with flashing anything, it just stopped booting one day and would display the "LG Life's Good" boot screen for a few seconds before going black and then just repeating this endlessly. I was able to get into recovery and download mode so I used the tot method to flash back to stock after a hard reset just produced the same results.
When I flashed the stock firmware, everything appeared to work fine, it went through the MiniOS bootup and everything, said success, gave me the hard reset status screen so when it finished I pulled the battery as instructed and rebooted but the phone still has the same issue. I have tried to run factory reset through recovery now that I flashed the new firmware and it still does the same thing, just hangs at the boot screen for a few seconds before going black and then trying again, endlessly.
Has anyone encountered this before? Is it bricked?
Thanks.

Pretty common prob plug it in to the wall charge see if it boots sometimes it still wont but most of the time it will the battery quality on the g3 is crap they last at most a year with a few exceptions i would first order a battery.
Hey guys,
Sorry if the answer to this found somewhere else, tried searching but foud nothing for my situation.
My buddy, who is a super basic user and was not attempting to do anything with his phone, has a G4 that suddenly stopped working and went into a boot loop.
We tried factory resetting it and it got about half way through the apps before stopping, going back into a boot loop and was unable to get back to the same point in the factory reset.
I tried flashing the ROM using LGUP to H811-20o and it said that it went successfully on LGUP as well as the phone itself, but after it rebooted it went back into a boot loop.
Now the boot loop goes faster but is still looping and we cannot get back into download mode to try again or potentially try a different ROM. It goes to the first screen of download mode with the 5 blue dots but doesn't get past that, I've removed the battery waited for a while in between attempts and still nothing.
We can get to the factory reset screen and click yes, it will then go to the green android guy with his cog wheels exposed but then immediately goes back into a boot loop.
Any help is appreciated, even if its just a confirmation of being SOL.
