MARKET BUY problem "fix" (BY ME) - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Themes and Apps

hello.for those who have problems buying apps on market(NOTE USERS).here is my fix.found by me.
REMEMBER: you will revert to older market version(2.3.6) if you do this.
REMEMBER: ROOT required.(to freeze one app)
so here it is:
STEP1:using titanium backup pro freeze app called "market updater 1.0"
STEP2:go to SETTINGS-APPLICATIONS-MANAGE APPLICATIONS
STEP3:find app called "MARKET" click on it AND hit "UNNINSTALL UPDATES".
STEP4: now launch market again.should work now!
DONE.
Now you have the older market(witch i think is better, lagfree and faster)(v.2.3.6)
I hope i helped!
ENJOY!

Setting the language to -english (UK)- fixed this problem for me.

loool... no wonder why I never complained about the Market on my Note...
one of the first things I did when I unboxed and started installing applications is install Titanium backup.. freeze Market updater... and use the old Market version...
zero issues, fast market everything working.. including Market enabler

[APP] Mybackup pro

One of my favourite programs, never fails.
I have one question though. The program can backup both apk and data if you have root. But if it is restored, is it also shown in the market place?
Anyone with experience?
I know titanium backup has "market doctor" and tells the market which apps you have installed so you may get updates... but i dunno about that program!
Maybe you can run titanium market doctor after installed apk+data with mybackp pro?
Is paid version of titanium required for market doctor to work?

Yes. (Well, I believe the paid version is required for Market Doctor) I have the paid versions of both, but only use Titanium backup. I would only use My Backup Pro if I wanted to back up my call log and messages. It does not back up apps in app-private. Titanium Backup does everything fast and better.
I mailed the devolper to backuppro and he replied that his backup will be reflected in the market as well.
So I guess, since backup pro never failed and is as easy to use as it gets, I will only use this one.
Re: Mybackup pro
Yes, they show back up in the market if the application was downloaded from the market. I use mybackup pro all the time since I flash roms a lot, works great and never failed me. Sometimes though it takes while to show up in the market or may need a second reboot.

If you have root, you can allow mybackuppro to save the market link so that when you restore, it shows up in your market place. It works and is amazing

android market won't show my purchased installed apps

a few days ago I was using Titanium Backup to unlink my apps from the android market that I had gotten from other markets so that the market would stop trying to install updates for those apps and when I did this I looked at MY APPS in the market it is now only showing a 2 boxes. 1 reads browse apps and the other browse games. It also says apps and games owned by this account will appear here. Iv'e tried using the market Dr. on TB but it won't fix it. I also tried to force close the market and wiping the data and uninstalling any market updates. I'm hoping I don't have to reset the phone completely. I've also tried fixing the permissions and rebooting into recovery. Any help would be much appreciated. Samsung Galaxy s 4g
I had this issue once before. I fixed it by logging on to market.android.com and when I did I noticed that my apps were missing from there to. I then logged off of the website and then back on and like magic all of my apps were back. I wont garuntee this as a fix but it did work for me

im having the EXACT same problem... and i even tried a full wipe and fresh install of my rom, and all 200+ apps fresh from market to restore ANY broken market links. still no dice. im on sprints epic 4g touch, found this post on google looking for info lol
i use rom toolbox pro.. no problems here
I used Titanium Backup to uninstall something called the "Market Feedback Agent". I then wiped my cache and dalvik cache and rebooted my phone. My apps showed up in the market after I did this.

EDIT
Just download this App Market Fixer by Kstudio from Android Market.
Use it to scan for offending Apps, Note that it requires active data connection. What it basically does is compare your Apps database with the online Android Market Database and then single out the offending Apps. Presently, the only solution it offers is to uninstall the Apps from your Phone which for me is unacceptable because most of them are Samsung Core System Apps like Videos, Galllery etc, you don't wanna lose your System Apps.
When the scan finish just take note of the offending Apps, it would help to write them down. Do not use their Fix tool because it will delete the Apps from your Phone or if you use REMOVE MARKET LINKS ONLY those Apps will give you FORCE CLOSE afterwards. The best option is go to Titanium Backup --> Batch --> Detach User & System Apps from Market --> Deselect all --> NOW SELECT ONLY THE OFFENDING APPS --> Run the Batch Operation --> Reboot.
After this go back to Android Market and all your Apps will be there. If It didn't work the first time, redo the whole process, maybe you missed one App.
This has 99.9% success and I believe it will work for you.
ADDITION
For those of us that Schedule Backups with TB, you have to do some tweaks to your Preferences if not; after such backups, the whole problem will come back again. This is all you have to do:
Go to Preferences --> Deselect MARKET LINK (When backing up an app, save its Market Link. Requires SQlite).
Be aware that this might happen again if you upgrade ROM or restore whole system with TB Backup, but with such Tool at hand, all it takes is less 3 minutes to fix.
Hope this is helpful
Thank you! I'll not sure exactly what I did that fixed it, but somewhere between using Market Fixer and uninstall/re-installing some apps it working again.
Note to self: stop playing with Market Doctor in TB for no good reason.
Hi
Excuse me for being somehow off topic, I'd want the opposite.
I have a few apps (Youtube & windows theme for Go launcher for example) that I hate their updates and I'd like them to not appear on market update list.
If someond knows how to do this, please PM or send a link.
I searched and couldn't find anything. 10x.

In Titanium Backup - Market Doctor will break market links.
Any free solution?

[Solution] Custom DPI and market incompatibility

Problem:
I have been literally bogged by this message in market "this app is not compatible with your device" message literally for every other app I frequently use. Nearly every app at some update or the other is starting to give this message, forcing me either search for the apk on net, or go through the painful process of setting dpi to 240, reboot, install, set back at 200, reboot.
Solution:
Last night, most unexpectedly I found the solution. Not sure how many use it, but based on the feedback on the app in app store, I thought maybe not many know about it.
Disclaimer: I am NOT marketing any app here. Am only sharing info 'cos it worked great for me.
1. Install the app "LCD Density Modder Pro" from market. There are two versions - free and paid. Install the paid one. Its only a dollar.
2. Set it to whatever DPI you want. You could do this within the app, or manually using root explorer.
3. Click on "market compatibility issues" button on the bottom part.
4. For Infuse 4G, select "HDPI - 240" in dropdown, and download modded market.
5. Install the downloaded modded market.
Till here, its all a walk in the park.
6. Clear market data.
7. Go to TiBu paid version, and freeze the market updater (this will stop market updating by itself).
8. Reboot.
I had to do this cos "freeze market updater" option did not work in the app.
Hiccup:
A little hiccup though, when I rebooted, it again came up with the issue. I don't know how. I went and cleared the market data, and opened market again, and this time it worked well.
I am not sure how it would go if market updater wasn't frozen. You might need to reapply the modded market after every reboot, and clear data. I am not sure of this part though. Plus I presume most of the guys (girls too) here have TiBu paid version.
Got a reply from the developer that he updated the app, and has an updated modded market that would never auto update itself. Problem solved.
This would take step 7 off from above steps.
Note: For anyone with any questions, let me clear up, I did this and this is working for me.
This would be nice but I have a custom market. I don't want the boring stock green one

You could simply theme the market in it, but wouldn't recommend distributing it 'cos it is a modded one sold with pro version of the app. And trust me, its a lot of pain killer. I am able to see all the apps in market now, even with my DPI at 200.

[Market Problem] App marked as paid, cant install

Hi,
half a year ago I had a "HYBRID" called Rom installed on my Phone. This Rom had several premium apps (aka warez) with them. Accidently, I tried to update some of them back then.
The Rom didn't last long on my phone but now I have problems because of that update-try it seems.
The App "Tapatalk" is marked as paid in my Google Apps section. If i click "Install" it says "Error 403" (not authenticated I guess).
There is no way to remove the app from my App Section it seems. I tried requesting a refund, describing my problem but only thing I got back was a mail telling me that it is a free app?!
Anyone has an idea how i can remove this app from my list so I can buy it?
I had no problems buying other apps so far (Root Explorer and PowerAmp just yesterday), its just this Tapatalk app.
Thanks for your help!
regards
From what I have read it looks like you will not be able to remove it from your list. Did you try clearing the cache and data for the android market app?
Had this problem myself before.
only way I got around it was to freeze market updater, Downgrade to an old market, one of the original greeny ones. 2. something. Then unlink the app from the market. I then choose to buy the app. Then unfreeze your market updater and let it update or flash a new market.
You will need to reboot after most of those steps.
This should hopefully help as it did for me.
Yes. I also have tried a workaround with market fixer that i have found (clear google service framework, delete links, reboot and such stuff).
The app is also marked as "paid" on the Google Website (https://play.google.com/store/search?q=tapatalk&c=apps)
Thanks StephenC82. I will try that!
I've the same problem, but my paid apps were all downloaded for free on GetJar -_-'
I've sent a bug report, they contacted me and after one thousand emails (where they asked me to reset the phone twice etc) they told me that they're working on it and I've just to wait for news from them...
Good luck bro, sadly we're in the same boat
The market thing didnt do the trick, but this topic helped!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1547134
The Javascript code did nothing, but inspecting the element + changing the value to "false" helped. I clicked "purchased" again and it asked me for the payment informations. After that i was able to download the app via the normal play market on my phone
Glad you got it worked out.
Greatttttttttt

Restore Market Links without Ti Backup

Hey folks, I thought I'd share a nice free fix...
I recently switched to CM7 on my Sammy Fascinate, and restored my apps (and some data) using Titanium Backup Free Edition. Well, as most of you may know, this is will not create links between apps and Google Market when apps are installed using this method. I know there is a "Market Doctor" feature in the Pro version of Ti Backup, but I am cheap and stubborn! Well, it turns out that if you log into Google "Play" on a computer and do a remote app installation (pick an app that isn't already installed on your device), the link will be restored for all apps on your device! Super easy...and best of all? FREE! Enjoy
