Hey guys
Im currently using Kyrillos Rom (which is a great ROM, no doubt) but i feel like testing cyanogen Mod, mainly due to the fact that the theme chooser seems to be very very powerful.
I've seen that Cyanogen Mod does not seem to support G3Mod. So if i want to change from KM to CM, can i direcetly flash CM via Odin, or do i have to flash the standart firmware first, if yes, which one?
Thanks for your Help in Advance,
Godspeed
Just flash over, but make sure to wipe data, cache and dalvik cache
Cheers

Can someone help on how to restore a kernel. Kernel was from cm7 nightly 147 stock , try to install T15 kernel but stock on boot lop, so i wanted to restore the stock cm7 kernel without having to restore the entire rom, i did have nandroid back up . Thanks in advance . I dunno why i did it ( my dmb @ss noob brain , i guess t15 kernel is not compatible with cm7 nightly)

I believe the only way to do it is to re-flash the ROM. And T15 is compatible with Cm7...im using it with MIUI which is CM based.
or try re-flashing T15 again:
Wipe cache and Dalvik and you should be good.
Try flashing the same rom, just wipe cache and dalvik cache and flash. You flashed the old morfic kernel, there is a new one in his thread towards the end of the thread, i think he didn't update the op.
Go here and get the newest one for g2x

Maybe it's a alraedy posted question but didn't find.
Since i'm usong android saw that all ROM are flashed using update.zip, why are we still usong odin or system.img to flash ROM??
Thx in advance
Sent from my GT-I5800 using Tapatalk
Because its less convenient. Well kinda. If you use update.zip to flash oxygen rom/cyanogen/miui, for me I don't need to have a specific rom, just any gb rom. But if you want a custom rom, you need to have the base, for example dxkp99 base or xxkpq base in my case before flashing the rom.

now I'm using xda bam s kernel, its great, including root (cf-root version)
if you want performance, use vurrut v9 with 1300 overclock stable, if you want battery will use
a bam or uc

no worries ur english is enough to make me understand wat u want to ask..
ur on KPU..so dont USE the Roms mentioned above.. vurrut has a version for kpq
yup...
go to thread Clean KPU rom By lueitsiyo its a fast and sleek rom.. and thn u hv Bilma rom too both meant for kpu
Try any one f thm
Or u can Flash to XXKPQ and hv LOADS of options available.!
So XXKPQ is better i will return to XXKPQ. I did not know that the Custom Roms are under the specific stock roms. and Custom Rom is enough? or yet you recommend any MODs ?

In every custom rom thread you can see if its based on kpq or kpu etc. Also, custom roms already include tweaks and scripts and mods to make the phone snappier, so no need for extra mods. Kpq would be better to someone who loves Modding and flashing his phone because kpu does not have enough mods and roms meant for it. However if you're on kpu I really recommend cleankpu

Yes XXKPQ is better for modding..
But if you want the most recent rom, you can try XXKPU or DDKP3.
cf-root version

Hello Guys,
I've got a few questions about upgreading my custom 2.3.4 to ICS.
Atm I'm using custom rom Cranium 3.1 based on XXKPH, with kernel 2.6.35.7-CL467143 [email protected] #1.
What should I do now, to get ICS on my SL.
1. Changing on stock rom ? If yes, then which one?
2. What with kernel ?
Thanks.
It doesnt maatters that which rom r u currently on but be on latest gb rom with cf root to be on safer side.
Then download cm9 zip from the respective thread then follow the instructions to install it on that thread.
Keep in mind its not completely bug free but still it is quite usable.

1. No need to change to stock rom if you just want to switch to ics, of your phone is rooted and had clock work mod, then you just need to flash any custom ics rom like remics, cm9 etc.
Then you can even change the kernel to vurrut or arindam or dhiru etc.
Firstly to consider, you're on kph. to have a stable base band, either flash kpq or kpu.
Follow this order
Xxkpe>xxkpu/kpq>root with bagaria.tar> ics rom> kernel(optional).
