I am running CM7 Alpha10 with the Tiamat v1.1.0 kernel, baseband 10.56.9035.00P_10.14.9035.01_M.
A few days ago, my phone started being unable to obtain a signal. This was an intermittent problem for a day or so, then it completely couldn't get a signal at all. When I tried to connect to various networks manually, it would say "Unable to connect to this network at this time. Please try again later".
I am on roaming, and my phone does give the occasional warning that I am roaming and that data is disabled because of roaming. However, there is still no signal whatsoever. I have tried restarting and switching off and on airplane mode multiple times, but the problem still remains. Does anyone know how to resolve this?
help anyone? :/

im having trouble connecting to wifi. my phone just hangs at obtaining ip address and then eventually fails. ive tried with many different wifi connections not just mine. all the same. Anyone else having this problem?
Yes same problem here.
It seems a general problem like the GPS.
I found out that depending of the router brand it works better (for example, no problem with a linksys).
To go arround the problem you can try this:
- go in flight mode
- activate wifi
- when you have a wifi connection (test with to browser) reactivate the phone
I hope it helps

Click to collapse
Bring the phone back, and get a replacement. I have had no such problems with my Captivate.
I do notice that the WiFi signal isn't as strong as on my iphone's in the same area of the house though.
still not connecting.. maybe i messed up a flash with odin. i will try that again
the problem started when i flash jm5
problem solved reflashed
So, before rooting, my One X had great Wifi connection. No issues. Now that I'm rooted, I can't connect to wifi to save my life. I tried the wifi fix (not the ROM, but the 3 files instead) and still nothing.
I've tried turning off Mobile Network while wifi was on, turning mobile network on while wifi was on, tried restarting the wifi....
I cannot get a connection to the Store, browsers won't open webpages, it's essentially done for. Yet every other device in my house can access the router just fine (and it's not just here, it's elsewhere.)
Anyone have any ideas how to fix this short of flashing the new ROM (which I can't do from my house since the HTC drivers always fail to install.)
Have you tried running fix permissions to see if there's some sort of error holding things up? The only other thing I could think to do is to do a factory restore of the phone, unfortunately...
I've been having this problem with my Samsung focus for like 4 days now. It refuses to connect to my network provider. I've tried everything; hard reset, reflashing stock At&t rom, different sim cards. My network indicator keeps saying there is no signal, but sometimes I get edge connection randomly but it leaves almost immediately. I've looked all over for a way to fix this problem but no one has ever been able to fix this problem. What can I do?
Ive been having major issues with my wifi on a stock non rooted JB stock firmware Relay.
Wifi was working fine for the longest time. Recently my wpa2 home network wont connect. I keep seeing "wifi authentication error" every time I try to connect. I did a cache wipe, and when I do, it works for a day or so and then goes back to the same issue
Now Im having problems getting any data from wifi, wether its an open network or WPA. It just shows that its connected, the little arrows on the signal meter light up but no data actually gets transferred.
I did a battery pull and it seemed to fix it temporarily, but seems like the issue comes back
Any help??
I might as well ask here.
Im running COS 12.1-Y0G4PAS1N0 and whenever I enter a wifi signal that it knows, it has issues reconnecting and stays on 3G/4G, sucking up data. I try to reconnect and it gives a error. Entering and exiting airplane mode usually fixes it but not always.
Any way to fix this?
Anything?
