I just bought my transformer and it is a B80 on 8.6.5.13, i was wondering if anyone has a working dlpkg file to update to .18 or .19, or know of another way for me to update to either firmware version.
Thanks in advance!!
im pretty sure the dlpkgfile or ROMS for those firmware are out there just dnt go to .21 until you know for sure theres no way to get to .19 which will allow you to root if you r wating root
the only dlpkg file i have found on the forums will not install when i flash in stock recovery, i think the update may be damaged in some way.
If you want to update to .19 to use Razorclaw's tool for root, you can try Root Toolkit for .13 or .21. It should give you root without problems.
thought the "Root Toolkit" wouldn't work for a B80? I just received a B90 and I'm also looking for the dlpkgfile to get to 8.6.5.19.

Dear friends,
I just rooted and installed the cw recovery in my newly bought ASUS TF. The current version is 8.4.4.11, 3.1. Then how can I update my machine to V8.6.5.9, 3.2 without wipe?
Thank you very much!
Depending on which rooting method you used, if you read the root thread, it will advise you to update to the latest firmware for your model before rooting. You won't be able to update to the latest firmware after rooting and installing cwm recovery because the update will fail. You will need to return back to full unrooted stock with no cwm recovery, then update to the latest firmware, then reroot. PM me for instructions on how to return to stock.

I have seen this a few times, you do not have to return to stock to update your firmware. A couple of nice people have made the update compatible with CWM and you just have to put the zip on your SD card and install it from CWM. Here's the links to go to .9 and .13 Cheers.

After looking at what firmware you are at, I'm not sure if there are zip updates that go back that far, but you can certainly search to see...Cheers.

But mine is 8.4.4.11, 3.1 rather than 8.6.5.9, 3.2....
Install a new custom rom
My transformer is not updating over the air. My friend rooted my device and put on CWM but now I am trying to restore it to official firmware. I followed a guide and unrooted my device and installed the official recovery. My build number now is HRI66.US_epad-8.2.3.13-20110511 and firmware is only 3.0.1. When I select system update it tells me there are no updates available for my device. So I am going to manually updated it by downloading the firmware from the ASUS website. I was wondering though if in Canada do we use the US firmware or the WW firmware? Which one do I download?

I too am in Canada and was wondering if the TF101's originally came with US or WW firmwares?

The same here. If you find an answer somewhere else please let me know.
Gentlemen,
First you should do the NVflash tool to backup your golden bootloader (very important, this will help you to relock and unbrick your device).
Second, install Voodoo OTA root keeper then use OTA root keeper to make a backup.
Next:
If you want to upgrade to .30 version:
Download the correct version of tf700 (US, TW etc..)
Extract the zip file, then rename to something like recover.zip
Boot into your custom recovery and select recover.zip then flash away.
If you want to upgrade to JB version, you have to reflash your twrp(no longer work with JB) with the new CWM version then follow the same steps above. Detail instructions are in the link below.
Here is the link on "How to"

Hello, i had my tf700 with .16 rooted, but still lose the root using rootkeeper while updating to.18.
So, I follow the topic on tf700 general to downgrade to ics
Now i am rooted with ics but cannot receive ota update
I tried download the .16 framework from asus and root like what i did first time to update from ics to jelly bean
Firstly, protect root using rootkeeper
2. Copy and fix permission to /cache and /cache/recovery
3. Temp. Unroot
4.insert sd card and system update detected
5. Click on .16 update
6. Wait for updating
7. Open rootkeeper but the backup had lost
Can anyone help me to root get a root in jb?
I was lose root from .16 to .18 and now lose root in .30ics to .16jb update
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T using xda app-developers app
The app too keep root is called "OTA root keeper" for a reason - it cannot work if you install a complete firmware from the Asus download via SD card. You need to do the upgrades using the OTA "dlpkgfile" files that you could have saved from your /cache partition before each upgrade. Since you didn't do that, you can download these files (for US or WW SKUs) from somewhere in this forum. There is also a guide how to install the OTA update manually.
Note that OTA are incremental, so to go from ICS to JB.18, you must first apply the OTA to JB.16, then to second OTA to .18.

Enjoy.
Guide is for going from .30 to .16 without OTA and without unlocking while still keeping root. The same process will work from .16 to .18.
