[GB 2.3.3]Bionix Reloaded Themes? - T-Mobile LG G2x

I'm looking for themes for the Bionix Reloaded ROM ive tried porting the APK from CM7 but have had no luck maybe someone could point me in the right direction any help would be greatly appreciated

Stick with themes designed for 2.3.3. CM is based on a newer version.

U probably know this. But I agree with previous post 2.3.3 themes. And also you'll prob have to change the framework. I've flashed king Davids mixer on bionix reloaded no prob but then when I try to hold the power button for power options menu it reboots every time. Just have to find the right one or make some edits or grab someone.

All of our themers left

Themers havent left we have just been busy with life and other projects. I myself have been working on an update for Whitehawkx Weapon ROM.
If you flash a theme thats not for the specific rom then expect problems. Since most roms have specific edits done to framework, settings, systemui and many other necessary apps. You will basically be killing the tweaks and mods they apply.
Once i finish my current projects i plan on putting out some more themes. Scheduling and free time are rare for me though.

I'm actually using your Ice cream comb theme here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1314526 on Bionix reloaded.
Obviously EDT tweaks in settings crashes, but all of the quick toggles work, and the power off menu is German but I have yet to see other issues. I've changed the pixel density to 215 and I love it!
Looking forward to some themes made for Bionix. Especially an ICS theme!
Thanks, Kwes!

[Req] themes for incredibly engineered rom

Hey all hope all is well!
Waa wondering of sone of u awesome themers would work on some for this rom? I like the mikfroyo theme but i also dig red a lot and was wondering if any of u had time for this? If u do that would be awesome!
And if there is themes that work please post the links and screen shots have a goodnight all

I agree, re-engineered is my fav Rom so far, the only problem is its not desire z based so the're no themes =(, not to mention i havent found any theme flash packs for it here on xda.
Any takers?

A Tron theme would be sweet!
This thread is relevant to my interests.
Just flashed the Re-engineered ROM last night. This thing is LIGHTNING fast. One of my coworkers just asked me to put it on his phone.
As far as I understand the apks for most themes are configured differently, so it may be a lot more work than usual to theme this? Am I wrong? Or is it just that the theme overwrites the ROM's customizations regardless...

Does this lose the optimizations?
I would think that most evo themes should work on this rom due to the framework..... But I could be wrong.
Riptide 9 v12/13 runs sweet on this rom. It may or may not break the apk optimizations, but I can tell no differences. Love the rom and the theme, very easy to change colors.
Rosie won't stay purple!!!
I applied the Incredibly-Re-Engineered update purple theme and Rosie's wrap won't remain purple -- always reverts back to green! Anyone else have this problem? Fixes?
I've fixed permissions and cleared caches and still no purple Rosie. Everything else is, but not Rosie! What am I doing wrong?
HTC Incredible, Model: ADR6300
Clockworkmod 3.0.0.5
Incredibly-Re-Engineered 2.3.1
You would b correct but you have to make sure the theme itself was updated to the 3.70 latest leak like this rom is, otherwise youll prolly lose the newest speed tweaks and what not chingy put in this last build

Chingy has been asking for mods requests, and producing them super fast...ask and you MAY receive! He did mention that "careless theming" will break his optimizations, so beware.

As long as its the same 3.70 framework, you can flash... to keep from losing the "speed" from chingy's, you would have to delete any apps that might be in the theme. So your phone will still be themed but none of the apps will be. But if you know how to use 7zip and sign apk's, you can transfer the themed app pngs to chingy's apps. Just optimize the apps after signing them....

[Q] Dark Theme for Bionix Frost

I don't have much experience with themeing, but I just flashed the Bionix Frost ROM and it's hurting my eyes. Is there a dark theme I can just overlay on the ROM? Or do I need to flash a different ROM with a dark theme? I would assume by my knowledge of what a theme is that I should be able to switch it without changing the ROM, but I assume there's some work involved to make the theme and the ROM cooperate. So anybody know of a dark theme I can apply over the Bionix Frost ROM?

For a darker styled roms you chose the lightest. All the other roms, especially Team Acid's, have a dark elegant look.

I got Audiophile on and I love the look, after removing about 20 bloatware applications. The only thing that really annoys me is the transition animation, it's like watching a cheaply edited video that uses the same wipe again and again and again.
So that being said, any idea if it's possible to change the transition animation?

Anyone willing to test a theme?

I created a theme using UOT Kitchen and it appears that some of the items I had included aren't working. I'm currently on humble 4.22 and am wondering if the items aren't working with the rom. If anyone is up to trying this out for me and seeing if all items work on a gb build other than 2.3.5 I would be very thankful.
Items included in the theme:
BIOS boot animation (not working)
Red overscroll glow (works)
Battery indicator changed (works)
Signal indicator (not working)
Emoticons (not working)
Custom black and white and white and red load icons
All of this is on a black background and launcher pro. I was trying for a simple black and white theme. If anyone is interested I can post the zip file.
Edit: here is the zip file for you all. Try it out and let me know how it works for you, issues, and what rom you are running.

Okay well in the UOT kitchen the emotions are put in the framework-res.apk but for the phone calls them from the mms.apk so you will have to do it yourself with 7zip and then push to your phone. Also with the signal bars UOT places them in the systemUI.API which is right but there are 2 sets of them the phone call them from a different name which is the vzw_stat_signal_1.PNG but there are aleast 12 of them so just copy and rename the copies and then push the file. Oh and as for the bootanimation its probably named sanim.zip just rename to bootanimation.zip and you should be good to go. If you have more problems let me know I'm here to help.
Sent from my SCH-I510 using xda premium
Thanks for the reply. I extracted all the framework.res files from both my rom and from UOT. I'm going to go through and edit the battery icons and a few other items. The UOT files don't even include the signal indicators that I had selected so I may just end up making custom ones. Its really just a matter creating them, saving them as PNG files, replacing them, and pushing the framework.res file back to the phone, right?
Pretty much thats it!!! Did you upload the systemUI.apk to the UOT kitchen or just the framework-res.apk?
I uploaded both files. When pushing the files back to the phone will I need to delete the originals or will it overwrite them?
Sorry for the n00b questions but when it comes to this stuff I'm...well...a n00b lol

I apologize if this thread seems pointless. I am just curious to see if some elements of UOT just do not work on EP3 based roms, if there was error on my behalf, or UOT just simply does not work as hoped.
One should not have to feel diminished because some are not up to par as others. It just baffles me that others would mock ones questions when the point of a forum is to help better understand and share.
So Locket just keep up the work and disregard what one might think or say. I'm download and view, ill get back to you!!

I do realize that the kitchen is used for personal use and this isn't intended to be a full-on theme to be released to the masses. It is just me screwing around with it and seeing what options were there and see what I could come up with. I'm not much of a developer/graphic designer/etc. As stated, I made this post to see how well the kitchen worked with our phones, ep3, and if the items stated that aren't working are related to one of the two.
As far as the rom goes, its not too bad of a rom. I am personally a GC fan and since there isn't an ep3 GC rom yet I decided to go with this. Do you have any idea when you and the team are releasing a new rom?
I may have to take you up on your offer as I would like to learn to theme and will probably have loads of questions. Now that I have two different framework apks to look through I can sit down and compare the two and make some basic generalizations.
If this comes off as me being a **** that is certainly not my intention. I just want to clarify my reasoning behind this thread.

ep3 is the same as ep1 as far as the rom goes. ep3 was just a kernel update. if you flash an ep3 kernel you will be up to date.
if there is another gummy release it will be just a patch to fix some bugs. team gummy and team liberty have merged. the next release will be Liberty ROM for the Charge.
Ahh that I did not know, lol. This is the first GB rom I've run as I wanted to keep the reliability of ee4 (which didn't happen on GC 2.0) and wanted to wait for an official OTA. One of the options in TSM Parts didn't play well and sent my phone bootlooping and then decided to try out ep3.

Eclipse vs. Tweeked ROM

Hey everyone,
I am currently running Eclipse 2.0 on FP1. I am very happy with Eclipse but I am reading a lot of good things about Tweaked. I have yet to see a screenshot of Tweaked. Can someone who has used both explain to me the difference between the two ROMs?
Thanks,
Tweaked 2.0 looks identical to TweakStock 1.5.
I went to Tweaked 2.0 from Eclipse 2.0. Both roms are amazing. Main difference between the two is that Tweaked allows for more customization.
Sent from my SCH-I510 using xda premium
Tweaked 2.0 is smoother than eclipse IMO but both roms are great. I just happen to like the theme that tweaked offers. As for screenshots if you ever installed tweakstock 1.4 it is the same theme. The difference is the fp1 base with TSM parts and some other mods
Sent from my SCH-I510 using XDA
If you like TouchWiz, go with Tweaked, because it retains the TouchWiz apps but with a new coat of paint.
If you like AOSP, go with Eclipse, because it swaps as many apps as possible for their AOSP equivalents.

Right. From what I gather, it's all about the apps. If you're a fan of TouchWiz apps over AOSP, then go with Tweaked. Aside from that, Tweaked let's you do a ton of customization with the status bar, lock screens, carrier text, Lidroid toggles, etc.
Make a backup of Eclipse, then give Tweaked a try. You can always go back to your backup.

While appearance-wise they look the same - the toggles no longer are based on the lidroid mod (all TSM-based).

Yeah some of the lidroid toggles were glitchy for me like data but the tweaked ones work fine.

The lidroid flashlight was glitchy as hell for me, but the TSM one works great.
I really like the look of Eclipse (especially the dialer). I definitely do not like the look of stock so I will stay with Eclipse. Thanks for the input to those of you who responded !!

Customizing Rooted Stock v21y 2.3.4

Since there are not any custom roms available for the new baseband, I thought it might be worthwhile to have a thread on customizing kwes1020's Rooted Stock Rom. I went for an ICS look on mine using available themes and apps. By the way, I have found this ROM to be quite stable with good battery life.
Themes/Customizations available on XDA:
[Theme]Touch of ICS for Stock 2.3.4
v21y 2.3.4 Arc'd Theme+QuickPanel MOD (Have not tried this one yet)
ICS "Style" Settings for 2.3.4 (Have not tried this one yet)
Market Apps:
ADWLauncher EX
Ice Cream Sandwich (theme)
Notification Toggle (Good alternative for Weapon G2x like toggles)
/system/app mover (Moves Notification Toggle into system folder)
Roboto Font Customization:
Download Roboto Font Family
Roboto replacement for Clockopia (lockscreen clock) (Prevents alignment problems)
There are many ways to install, I used TypeFresh with AndExplorer.
Remove Bloat:
NoBloat Free
Bookmarks Manager
Add:
Thanks for adding this thread.
Go Launcher Ex Really an excellent launcher replacement.
Rom Toolbox Pro: Gives you access to adding Roboto fonts and installing custom startup animations.
and
Go Locker: a really nice lockscreen add-on that you can customize.
Nice thread... I wish I knew how to mess with code to release a modded ROM... it does seem as though our only hope of one is gone now.

The only thing I can think is that attempts to adjust just the kernel to match the new baseband have been unsuccesful. Two things that might yet work:
1. Any way to move the phone code from this ROM to a flashable zip(less likely) or
2. The source code is out there. Can we build CM 7.2 on top of this base? I wish I knew more about this...

Why is it that when i did a task in TiB ,like un-installing, or just on random on the main home screen, i would have to press the return/back soft key? I was using ADW. didnt seem to be an issue with the stock launcher. did i miss something?
