(MTD)
IMPORTANT: Please read this thread about MTD if you don't know what it is or means.
For those of us who just want our phones to $%#^@! work.
This is a clean EI22 based ROM with a custom Black theme. While much of the preloaded Sprint bloatware is removed, useful stock software like ThinkFree Office, MyFiles, Memo, Clock, and calculator are left in. Stability is the number one priority in this ROM. Those who are into bleeding edge/ricer ROMs will probably find this ROM boring.
Feature List:
Based on the original leaked EI22 NANDroid dump (noobnl)
Deodexed
Custom EI22 kernel with the following features:
init.d script support
keyboard fixes
overclocking to 1.4Ghz
Voltage control
WIFI stability fixes
CWM5 Support
bootanimation.zip support (None included by default. Place one into '/system/media' and it will play)
Carrier IQ ("CIQ") removed (k0nane)
Yaffs2 file system (MTD partition map)
Stock Gingerbread Launcher with 3D fix (hoffman1984)
GPS Fix (hienkhieu)
Proper Reboot and Reboot to CWM Recovery on the power menu (Thanks to untermensch for the excellent quide)
Hacked Sprint Hotspot (Tortel1210)
1% battery (Icons by Mendozinas)
3G/1x icon fix (SenseiSimple)
CRT Off
CRT On (Thanks to Whitehawkx for the guide)
No battery popup
Screen stays off when unplugged
Volume rocker mod (sound on to vibrate to silent) (mkasick)
Silent Camera (SenseiSimple)
Scrollable Status Toggles - with 4G Button (lidroid, SensieSimple, 4G button mod, other fixes mods by me)

FAQ:
Q: Why should I move to a MTD based ROM?
A: Cyanogen Mod for the Epic 4G, which is being worked on right now requires the MTD partition layout. Once you flash a MTD based ROM, the only way to go back to a stock ROM which uses Samsung proprietary BML partition layout, is with ODIN. This is a major inconvenience for many as ODIN is notoriously unreliable. You can move between MTD based ROMs without the use of ODIN.
Q: When moving from a BML to an MTD ROM can I use Nandroid backup to backup and restore my data?
A: Yes, but the process is a bit more involved (Thanks to Tortell1210 for this guide):
To restore data from a nandroid backup:
Mount your sdcard as USB storage
Navigate to clockworkmod/backups/<LAST BACKUP>/
Rename system.rfs.tar to system.yaffs2.tar, data.rfs.tar to data.yaffs2.tar
Open the nandroid.md5 file, replace all rfs in the filenames with yaffs2
Save/close, unmount USB, and reboot into recovery
Advanced restore data (And system if you really want). Only advanced restore, or else it will give you a BML kernel and recovery, which wont boot
Reboot!
(If you were on ext4, just replace rfs with ext4)
If you want your previous Rom, advanced restore system too.
Q: Where is the bootanimation.zip and how can I change the boot animation?
A: The stock boot animation is actually contained in the framework-res.apk file. If you want to use a custom boot animation, all you have to do is place your bootanimation.zip in the /system/media directory and it will play instead of the stock one.
Q: What about [insert feature here]?
A: See the todo list below

AWESOME!!! Thanks so much for this!

Toad,
I read the instructions, but I'm a little confused, so I'll just ask.
1) I'm on Clean GB1.0....Can I just flash this? If I loose my data, no biggie, I'll restore from Titanium and redo my device. Are there advantages?
2) Is the Kernel built in or flash it separately?
Thanks!!!!!

If you are on CleanGB 1.0, which is BML, your data partition will be wiped. You will have to restore your stuff via Titanium. nandroid backup can be used also, but you have to edit the backup file names before you restore them.

Thanks for the reply. What are the advantages of the ROM as compared to GB1.0.
Also, can I use Titanium without renaming.
THANKS!

LOL, nice!
What are the main differences between your kernel and the Stock-ish kernel or zman's MTD kernel? Is this more optimized for speed, stability, performance..?

Wait, so Toad, does your MTD have 4G? I'm lucky enough to live in an area with good 4G and despite what I thought I couldn't live without it and had to Odin back to a regular ROM

Yes. 4G works. 4G only doesn't work on Cyanogen Mod and MIUI ROMs because they use open source only kernels. This ROM still has Samsung's Wimax driver which is what you need for 4G.
With MTD TW ROMs, you can go back and forth between TW ROMS and CM7/MIUI without having to use ODIN.

Toadlife, does link2sd work on MTD ? please help...
Thanks

haven't tried it yet but it looks really impressive. Still some thinks I would change and will put back into this rom, because I think it is a little bit TOO slim, but this is everybody's own decision.
looks really nice and will be tested on the weekend.
looks promising.
a couple of questions; you've removed conversations.apk and messaging.apk. what sms app does your rom use?
i can see that you have removed talk.apk. isn't it needed to be on the phone to access the market?
Good job. Thanks for that tutorial on knocking off some cmg. Can you by any chance tell us how to make those boot only files that other mods put up. It really helps to downgrade that way. I will try this once I am back home from work.
cheers
Very clean Rom, at the moment all work for me, market work perfectly, i will test sms and this evening...

Maybe if you dont do a factory reset before installing the rom (rom does a reset before anyways). So if Talk is setup in the first place its required (I'm guessing), but so far without it works fine. Added screenshot above of market with paypal on screen.
Also tiggggr is right, the messaging apps where replaced with a stock MMS app.

If your talking about things like the Android 2.2.1 - 3.4.2-107 TMobile US modified bootloader. No idea, this flashing method I dicuss does not use/make a modified bootloader. Its just removing the Froyo bootloader and system partitions from the sbf.

Ya I have a notion that Stagefright being enabled for player streaming might be the cause. I'm looking into it.
No problem
Ok no problem, only modify the media.stagefright.enable-player=true to false or use this buil.prop
One thanks for me plz

Yup Stagefright being enabled for the youtube player was causing the issue. Flash the new version and should be all set.
coming from pays 3.3
I found pays 3.3 to be laggy when trying to close apps and the network connection quite slow and jumping between 3G and H a lot. I think the network issue is causing the lag.
coming from pays 3.3 on 3.4.2_145-003. I thought I'd wipe and factory reset before installing Lawnchair.zip
This left me with a clean ROM but with no home app and having wiped in clockwork recovery meant no debug for an ADB push. I didn't check for ADB connection but I found that voice commands would run and that allowed the selection of clockwork, so no need to reflash sbf.
Just a note if anyone sees this.
ROM has booted now and looks good, people shouldn't complain about what's missing, nothing's missing if you have ever used Titanium or Appmonster.

Ya the reason for re-flashing the sbf is because other rom's (and mine) do remove apps from the system folder. Something which a factory reset wont fix.
However, because my rom does include all stock system apps; yes this should work but like you said if your missing a Launcher in your system folder it will make it complicated.
Otherwise, glad to here its up and running.
thank you very much for the work. the downgrade method you just included are new to me. As long as i´m working on DefyFroyoSense Beta01 and cant fix the camera flash problem, i think your way to flash Froyo and keep downgradability will fix this issue. BTW you optimized rom is great for those who wanna have a personalized system running. Thanks again and keep it coming.

I really liked the rom, although what i did experience was a some random lagging occurring.. after switching on the screen the device seemed to hang completely then just as i was about to pull the battery it began working again. i hadnt installed any apps and i had followed all steps exactly.
I had to reflash an alternative rom in the end because of the freezing...
I am looking forward to trying new builds - cant think of any features needed really, it would just be nice to know if others had similar issue to me and if there was a fix for it.

Notes:
* If coming from another ROM You MUST wipe before installing this
The default theme should bring you fully back to stock from any theme within the toolbox
* The first boot after install GummyCharged will take a while at both the Samsung logo and the bootsplash. Give it a couple of minutes
At the very least i recommend a dalvik and cache wipe coming from 1.9.1 to 2.0 as there are many framework changes in this release.
Themes are being added everyday!!! make sure you run updatetb to update your toolbox with the latest version to get the new themes

Thanks:
FABOLOUS for allowing me to use his Server to host Gummy Charged and letting me use his toolbox script to make mine!!!
Thanks to Teamdouche for publicly posting the CM source, which I compiled some of my apps from.
DroidXcon for his help and patience with me while walking me thought the while Odin thing
Everyone at TeamSbrissenMod for allowing Team Gummy to use TSMparts!
Credits:
IMNUTS – His initial ed2 Debloated ROM was where I started on GummyCharged 1.0 (although GummyCharged 1.5 has a completely new base)
Sbrissen - For allowing us to use his fascinate smali modifications to bring TSM parts to the Charge! I can not even thank him enough for all his code and modifications.
Features:
- Most all apps were built from source.... rather that decompiled and hacked apps via APKmanager!!!!! To do this I took the CM and Android source trees from Froyo and reworked the framework to allow apps to properly find resources after they were compiled.
- New Base built on top of EE4
- The only apps left from TW are Dialer, Contacts and Camera
- AppWidgetPicker - built byboombuler
- Latest Market included
- Black Gtalk – themed by Kejar31
- Ads blocked via hosts file -thanks to delta_foxtrot2
- 1% battery increments built in (Icons made by me)
- Themed Dialer, Contacts, Keyboard Task Manager by me to integrate into the stock GB look and feel
- All apps optimized and zip aligned
-TSM (TeamSbrissenMod) ported by syaoran12 - allowing the freedom of 8 different lock screen, multiple notification mods, and other tweaks.
-Updated GummyToolBox allowing you to choose what you want to flash and have it boot into cwm, flash it for you, then reboot again (Kejar31’s little baby)
-IMoseyON custom kernel 13.6 with working alternative governors for the first time ever on a vzw touchwiz based rom, and OC up to 1.4ghz
-Voodoo Sound and Lagfix included
More to come...
Known Issues:
The CWM issue with only 4.0.0.8 working with the toolbox has been fixed! You can now run the toolbox from any version of CWM.
Disclaimer:
I nor anyone in TeamGummy take any responsibility for what this ROM or its tools may do to your phone.
TeamGummy is the only charge development team with permission to use TSM parts at this time.

GummyChargedFE 2.0
Updates:
Any CWM now works with the toolbox!
Also please remember to udatetb in the terminal to get the newest version of the toolbox.
We are adding new themes everyday and the only way to see them is to update your toolbox!

TSM Information:
Yes this modification needs no introduction to post fascinate user, but for those who are new to it there are a few things needed to know.
-When you first boot up your clock will be a default of black and appear to be missing. Do not worry this is the way it is. Just goto Settings > TSM Parts > Notification Settings and set your clock color by either 1 selecting a different color in the wheel then clicking it in the center, or just clicking white. Any changes to the clock color requires a reboot to make the changes.
-Hide clock or AM/PM to change you need to rotate your phone to landscape and it will change.
-Custom carrier text and hide alarm both require a reboot to go into effect.
-Choosing your answer type is located within the Misc Settings of TSMParts.

Ok just a couple questions, I'm coming from fascinate where I flashed many roms and kernels but the charge is a bit different. First i am completely stock so from my understanding I need to Olin the new CWM and once that is done I should have root second then boot to CWM and install ROM from sd card and should be good to go correct? Another question Rom contains custom kernel but does it automatically convert to voodoo if not how do in enable voodoo. Thanks

Yes on all accounts, Odin CWM then boot into CWM and install GummyCharged 2.0... If the kernel doesn't convert your files-system automatically (it should) then download voodoo controls from the market and activate from there.

Use the CWM in the OP. You can download Voodoo Control from the market and that will confirm it for you.
EDIT: Damn... Kejar's beating me to it tonight.

KNOWN ISSUES / NOTES
- First Boot Installer sometimes fails to complete (usually completes on reboot)
On first boot, unlock the screen and let it sit until
you see all the media scanning notifications stop -
this is because on first boot, there will be some
app installing going on for the apps included, will take about a minute.
If you're coming from a clean install, you will have to set
Swype as your text input in Settings > Locale and Text Settings to start using it.
File system (BML/MTD) SleeperROM will retain your existing EXT4 or YAFFS2(MTD) partition configuration,
but will convert RFS to EXT4 (journaled).
It will otherwise not do any conversion.

Installation
Boot into recovery: Three Finger Salute (Camera + Vol Down + Power)
OPTIONAL: Wipe all the things (Wipe Data/Factory Restore, then, "Mounts and Storage" > Format /system (be careful - DO NOT format your SD card)) - ! don't wipe if you're installing an Incremental update ¡
Install from Zip, Choose SleeperROMv2.x.xx-EL30-[Pkgversion].zip
Reboot. First boot may take up to 3 minutes while the dalvik cache is built for the first time.
If you don't have recovery/are on stock OTA EL30, Flash the BML/Odin ShadowKernel/CWM5 Root combination in Odin
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1465033
***CLEAN INSTALL
1. Backup with Titanium Backup, then a CWM Backup.
2. In CWM, go to "Mounts and Storage" > "Format /Data", just once will do.
3. To restore your basic data with Titanium Backup, avoid Batch Restore for system apps, choose the Green items one by one for the feature you want to restore then reboot. - I usually Sign In to my google account (open market, gmail, talk) then restore [CONTACTS/CALLS], [VOICEMAIL], [SMS/MMS/APN], [BOOKMARKS], and if i'm feeling daring and lazy [SETTINGS/BLUETOOTH..] - but this last one usually causes me FC grief. After a couple of reboots, you can batch restore all of your user apps.
ABOUT LOCKSCREEN MOD (or lack thereof) TSMParts may be integrated in the near future but NOT the lockscreen mod, as it goes against the philosophy of this rom in maintaining stock appearances (exception is scrolling status bar) while featuring the latest patches and mods which enhance usability and stability. The standalone lockscreen mod flashable is NOT compatible with this ROM.

Let me know how it goes, I did a lot of testing back and forth between RFS/EXT4 this time around but haven't done much with MTD, so if it worked before it should work now...
I just realized wifi may be broken on the MTD version, uploading the update now (10 minutes)
Sensei!!! Wooot. Downloading now to try out. Hey, I see it says MTD. How do we make it MTD? Is there a script or is it setup to do that automatically?

Will do bbelos. Thanks.
Yea. I flashed the regular one and it's rebooting over and over on me after a minute or two. I'll just go back to stock for now or try reflashing Sensei
1. This does not install EL30 modem.
2. Mine reboots in a loop on startup.
Coming from Sleeper 1.1.02a I wiped all the partitions and installed the .zip. First time I was stuck on samsung screen. Wiped again, installed again. This time I was stuck at the galaxy S boot animation screen, it would keep looping. Installed .zip again without a wipe and Still stuck at the boot ani screen. I'm going to go back to a nanroid backup of 1.1.02a for now.
EDIT:
After restoring my nanroid back up of 1.1.02a I tried to install 2.0.01 over it with out wiping anything....and it worked!
That's the first time NOT wiping has fixed an issue I had when installing a rom?
Running good no problems so far! But I don't have a scrolling status bar anymore? Also sprint zone is on here, how can I remove that?

Not sure what in blazes is going on here but this method worked. I restored my backup, wiped NOTHING and flashed and good to go. My OCD made me go back and wipe dalvik and cache but it was running and is running just fine now.
I tried flashing from the EL30 Odin package. I went through the process of rooting and getting CWM 5.0.2.7. Before flashing SleeperROM I wiped cache and dalvik cache, it took a long time to boot (fully expected), but once it did boot it was just FC after FC and I had no status bar... I will try a clean install later but for now I went back to Stock EL30.
If anybody can see the flaw in what I did I would appreciate the insight.
Home/ search soft keys
I installed this ROM and now my home/ search soft keys vibrate but don't do anything.
Could this be something my last ROM screwed up or is anybody else having this issue?
**EDIT-
This was after having installed this ROM over MTD CyanogenMod.
I no longer have this issue with after a clean BML upgrade
I did not wipe i simply copied the Full version over installed from ZIP and it booted. I did have none stop FC with SWYPE but i uninstalled then reinstalled without any further complications.
It does still say i'm Base Version: S:D700.0.5S.EI22. Are we suppose to install the modem ourselves?

Download and install (through CWM): ShadowKernel-EL30-MTD-v3.0+OC/UV
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21830188
Download CWM-bml-sdcard-5.0.2.7-epic4g.zip:
http://epiccm.blogspot.com/2012/01/boot-cwm5-bml-from-sdcard-no-flash.html
Flash that, re-boot to the temporary recovery, then install the modem upgrade.
Well, I'm on MTD/Yaffs2 and my first attempt at flashing this resulted in boot loops at the ani screen. After wiping and reflashing 1.1.02a then flashing this over that without wiping, it worked without a hitch. ;-)

IMPORTANT: Please read this thread about MTD if you don't know what it is or means.
For those of us who just want our phones to $%#^@! work.
This is a clean EL30 based ROM with a custom Black theme. While much of the preloaded Sprint bloatware is removed, useful stock software like ThinkFree Office, MyFiles, Memo, Clock, and calculator are left in. Stability is the number one priority in this ROM. Those who are into bleeding edge/ricer ROMs may find this ROM boring.
Feature List:
Based on Samsung's Official EL30 Release
Deodexed
Custom EL30 kernel with the following features (most features taken from Rodderik's EI22 repo):
init.d script support
keyboard fixes
overclocking to 1.316Ghz (Steps: 100,200,400,600,800,1000,1128,1200,1316) (Thanks to dyehya for help on these!)
Voltage control
WIFI stability fix
CWM5 Support
bootanimation.zip support (None included by default. Place one into '/system/media' and it will play)
Yaffs2 file system (MTD Version)
RFS file system (BML Version)
ADW Launcher
Reboot and Reboot to CWM Recovery on the power menu (Thanks to untermensch for the excellent quide)
Hacked Sprint Hotspot (necrosan, Tortel1210, toadlife)
1% battery (Icons by Mendozinas)
3G/1x icon fix (SenseiSimple)
CRT Off
No battery popup
Screen stays off when unplugged
Volume rocker mod (sound on to vibrate to silent) (mkasick)
Silent Camera with no battery warning
Scrollable Status Toggles (lidroid, SensieSimple, toadlife
AOSP Lockscreen
Logsprovider fix (no messages in call logs)

Many thanks! I can't wait to give this a spin. Do you recommend upgrading to the modem to EL30? I've been hesitant to do so because feedback some users have been reporting it does more harm then good.
Thanks! can't wait to flash it!

I've never perceived a difference between any of the modems. I've been running EL30 since it first came out and my phone/data service has been fine.

All you have to do to move from BML to MTD is put it on your SD card and flash it in CWM. Keep in mind that it will wipe your data when it transitions you from BML to MTD.
upgraded to GB 1.1 but shows as EI22
Baseband version S:700.0.5S.EI22
Kernel version 2.6.35.7-CleanGB-MTD-g6d33744
Build number Clean-MTD-1.1 (actually it must have been GleanGB-MTD Im trying a nandroid restore)
Baseband is the modem. This ROM doesn't update the modem.

Updated OpenFIMG
CM9 RC1
12-06-2012
ROM branded as Kyorarom in modversion
New update.zip naming convention
Updated CM repo
Loads of tweaks all over the place from CM team
This fix didn't happen on the G3, only big phones - Boot animation now has Cid in it, rather than Andy (if you don't understand, you'll know what I mean when you see it) (I will be giving it my own boot animation at some point. I need to make my animation though. It's in my head, I just need to get the time to create it.)
Took MIUI out again seeing CM9 finally fixed the media player
Added 'hold Menu to search' function.
05-06-2012
Lock screen options easier to locate
Lock screen weather
New music player that ****ing works. (called Apollo - coincidence?)
Screen off CRT animation works
28-05-2012
Updated CM repo
Changed default background
21-05-2012
Data2SD
Hybrid Data2SD v2
Added MIUI Music (a lot of features aren't working right in it though, I will look at that when I care enough).
Updated to latest CM repo (nothing too interesting to see there)
init.d is now working
Kyoratweaks are working
08-05-2011
2-stage kernel boot
CWM 5.5 (non touch)
Force boot mode functionality (hold HOME to force normal boot, and hold MENU to force recovery boot - could be useful for people with broken volume buttons)
Faster boot
Removed G3MOD boot logo
Boot logs have moved to /tmp/ (stage1.txt for stage1 log, fsdetect.txt for FS Detection module, fs.current for showing current filesystem structure)
Updated CM to latest repo
Theme Chooser (see Settings -> Interface/Themes)
Lock screen shortcuts (see Settings -> Interface/Settings -> Lock screen)
DSP Manager has better support for WM8994
04-05-2012
Kyoraapp
Kyoratweaks (not working just yet, but the script is all there)
Kyoralock (not automatic yet)
Fixed assert issue in update.zip
Added SamsungServiceMode application. Use *#*#0011#*#* and *#*#4636#*#*. There's probably more but those are the ones I know.

Using kernels busybox when updating rather than using a packaged one (saves space in update.zip)
Fixed adb install/pm command
Added File Manager
03-05-2012
Update.zip format (which will be the format for all future releases. If you cannot flash update.zips, then flash G3MOD kernel first).
G3MOD Inline Kernel Building (latest G3MOD on every release)
Fixed reboot menu (now says Download instead of Bootloader, and it reboots to download mode)
Fixed Superuser
Fixed Camera
Fixed Phone.apk
Fixed sensors
More free space in /system

In case people are wondering where the ODIN.tars and system.imgs are, I am not going to release Serenity in those formats as they are not standards compliant, and make the file much bulkier than an update.zip. As well as that, they require more effort to produce. I am only releasing one ODIN version (the foolproof version) for in case people experience issues flashing the update.zip, and these issues should only exist first time.
Extra Downloads
Google Apps Mini <- small Google Apps package that gives you the basics to get running.
ODIN Version (foolproof method) <- For if installing the update.zip doesn't work right for you. This will make sure everything is set up how it should be. This release is outdated now so I suggest downloading this and the latest update.zip and updating after flashing the ODIN version. Includes G3MOD 2.5 OC version.
Non-OC Kernel (G3MOD 2.5)
LatinIME.apk <- full keyboard from SGS2 with all the dictionaries and such if they aren't working for you. This can be installed like any normal APK.
Guides
Installing update.zips
You will need to flash a kernel that includes CWM, or install CWM on a stock ROM. There are guides on how to do this. I recommend installing G3MOD to get CWM.
Copy update.zip to SD Card
Reboot phone into CWM (turn off the phone and turn it back on while holding both volume keys and the home key)
Go to "install zip from sdcard"
Choose to install the update.zip
Reboot phone
Enjoy Kyorarom
Adding Kyorarom support to your kernel
Add all the CM7/9 support functionality (basic stuff like USB and audio)
Make a copy of the defconfig (either .config or apollo_rev_02_defconfig) called cyanogenmod_apollo_defconfig
Edit the config to locate your initramfs (this will depend on where you keep your initramfs). If you use old G3 style (G3MOD, Fugumod) of storing the kernel with initramfs in a directory below the kernel you will want source/../initramfs, whereas if you use Kyorakernel style (initramfs inside kernel directory), you want source/initramfs. If you want 2-stage style, you will want source/usr/initramfs.list. Refer to my kernel to see how I did it as 2-stage is quite tricky and different to what we used to use.
Compile the kernel with the config (make -j2 cyanogenmod_apollo_defconfig) to test it works
Modify scripts/kconfig/Makefile as shown in this commit: https://github.com/dharamg3/G3MOD/commit/c8adf776285365d7fece528e20914d778e2a8d1a#diff-2
Clean the kernel repository (make clean) and (make mrproper)

Looking Forward to it....
Looking forward to Eternity. But all the best of this one too.
Interesting.
I think we can expect good rom because you are the one in cm9 devs.
All the best
Test 003 uploaded to Mediafire
Linky Brinky
I made an ODIN TAR this time not to annoy Linux/Mac users, rather to try to fix the issues people were having of boot looping in 002. If it still doesn't work then wipe your data. If it still doesn't work then take the SD card out. If it still doesn't work then your phone is broken.
Changelog
* ODIN TAR now
* Updated CM9 repo (more translations, and a few fixes that probably won't apply to the G3).
* Compiled with a few tweaks here and there.
great !!! tryin now
EDIT: what do you mean by sensors? all the sensors already work right?
nice work, Mark!
Tried Test build 003. First was stuck at the bootanimation. Factory resetted from the cwm and booted in.
The build seem to be more smoother than the other build.(I maybe wrong cause i havent tested the other ics build for quite a time). Other than that its nothing more special.
@hillbeast waiting for the kyoralock and other tweaks. Also can you try to port the same - kyoralock, kyoraap, and kyoratweaks into CM7. That would really boost the performance.
Thanks!
EDIT
BTW Does hybird data2sd work on ics??
EDIT2
There is a problem in calls. FC's when you call someone.
Good job ! For the next build, can you :
Include the newest GApps ? When I flash, Gplay is missing
Add an File Explorer ?
after flashing gapps, still the setup wizard not shown, not able to sign in to google. also browser fcs and no keyboard
Edit 1: No way to get to the market, no way to get to the SD Card, no way to browse the net or download any app via browser, no way to sign in to google, No setup wizard after flashing Gapps, infact no google app after flashing gapps Wierd problems...
By the way, ROM is blazing fast...
How happy am i to see this thread?
VERY HAPPY!!
Hum, yeah, I too can't seem to install Google Apps... It takes a very long time to start installing from the update.zip, but once I restart the phone, there's no Play or Talk... I can add my account, even though it doesn't work with calendar, etc.

Don't try to install gapps, it will fail as the core ICS system itself take 90-95% of disk space. So gapps will not be completely installed when u try installing it. Only if we remove some core apps/files then only we can able to install it.
If you are interested then try my rom MPICS which has integrated gapps.
