Notes:
* If coming from another ROM You MUST wipe before installing this
The default theme should bring you fully back to stock from any theme within the toolbox
* The first boot after install GummyCharged will take a while at both the Samsung logo and the bootsplash. Give it a couple of minutes
At the very least i recommend a dalvik and cache wipe coming from 1.9.1 to 2.0 as there are many framework changes in this release.
Themes are being added everyday!!! make sure you run updatetb to update your toolbox with the latest version to get the new themes

Thanks:
FABOLOUS for allowing me to use his Server to host Gummy Charged and letting me use his toolbox script to make mine!!!
Thanks to Teamdouche for publicly posting the CM source, which I compiled some of my apps from.
DroidXcon for his help and patience with me while walking me thought the while Odin thing
Everyone at TeamSbrissenMod for allowing Team Gummy to use TSMparts!
Credits:
IMNUTS – His initial ed2 Debloated ROM was where I started on GummyCharged 1.0 (although GummyCharged 1.5 has a completely new base)
Sbrissen - For allowing us to use his fascinate smali modifications to bring TSM parts to the Charge! I can not even thank him enough for all his code and modifications.
Features:
- Most all apps were built from source.... rather that decompiled and hacked apps via APKmanager!!!!! To do this I took the CM and Android source trees from Froyo and reworked the framework to allow apps to properly find resources after they were compiled.
- New Base built on top of EE4
- The only apps left from TW are Dialer, Contacts and Camera
- AppWidgetPicker - built byboombuler
- Latest Market included
- Black Gtalk – themed by Kejar31
- Ads blocked via hosts file -thanks to delta_foxtrot2
- 1% battery increments built in (Icons made by me)
- Themed Dialer, Contacts, Keyboard Task Manager by me to integrate into the stock GB look and feel
- All apps optimized and zip aligned
-TSM (TeamSbrissenMod) ported by syaoran12 - allowing the freedom of 8 different lock screen, multiple notification mods, and other tweaks.
-Updated GummyToolBox allowing you to choose what you want to flash and have it boot into cwm, flash it for you, then reboot again (Kejar31’s little baby)
-IMoseyON custom kernel 13.6 with working alternative governors for the first time ever on a vzw touchwiz based rom, and OC up to 1.4ghz
-Voodoo Sound and Lagfix included
More to come...
Known Issues:
The CWM issue with only 4.0.0.8 working with the toolbox has been fixed! You can now run the toolbox from any version of CWM.
Disclaimer:
I nor anyone in TeamGummy take any responsibility for what this ROM or its tools may do to your phone.
TeamGummy is the only charge development team with permission to use TSM parts at this time.
Download:
GummyChargedFE 2.0
Updates:
Any CWM now works with the toolbox!
Also please remember to udatetb in the terminal to get the newest version of the toolbox.
We are adding new themes everyday and the only way to see them is to update your toolbox!

TSM Information:
Yes this modification needs no introduction to post fascinate user, but for those who are new to it there are a few things needed to know.
-When you first boot up your clock will be a default of black and appear to be missing. Do not worry this is the way it is. Just goto Settings > TSM Parts > Notification Settings and set your clock color by either 1 selecting a different color in the wheel then clicking it in the center, or just clicking white. Any changes to the clock color requires a reboot to make the changes.
-Hide clock or AM/PM to change you need to rotate your phone to landscape and it will change.
-Custom carrier text and hide alarm both require a reboot to go into effect.
-Choosing your answer type is located within the Misc Settings of TSMParts.

Ok just a couple questions, I'm coming from fascinate where I flashed many roms and kernels but the charge is a bit different. First i am completely stock so from my understanding I need to Olin the new CWM and once that is done I should have root second then boot to CWM and install ROM from sd card and should be good to go correct? Another question Rom contains custom kernel but does it automatically convert to voodoo if not how do in enable voodoo. Thanks

Yes on all accounts, Odin CWM then boot into CWM and install GummyCharged 2.0... If the kernel doesn't convert your files-system automatically (it should) then download voodoo controls from the market and activate from there.

Use the CWM in the OP. You can download Voodoo Control from the market and that will confirm it for you.
EDIT: Damn... Kejar's beating me to it tonight.

Thanks for the quick replies only one more question do I need to do a complete factory reset or is a cache/davlik wipe sufficient?

-Power on and charging full sounds disabled
-Wifi scan interval set to 120 seconds to reduce battery drain (default was 15)
-Browser home page set to Google and Rogers bookmarks removed
-Quite a few addons available!
BETA 2 Changelog:
Kernel:
-Voodoo lagfix by supercurio! (all partitions converted to ext4)
-Lowmemkiller tweaks
-Background writeout tweaks
-Init.d script support
ROM:
-Theme modifications: Messaging and Settings
-Updated Adobe Flash, Gmail, and Street View
-Switched Nexus live wallpaper out for the Nexus S version
-Added automatic zipalign at boot (init.d script)
-Changed GPRS class to 12

-Fixed a bug in the TouchWiz wallpaper chooser
-Fixed busybox installation
-Fixed permissions to match the UXKG3 release build
-Cleaned up unnecessary libs and binaries only found in the UXKG3 test build
-Removed MediaHub (Purchased content would not play. UXKG3 is probably missing some drm files since it didn't ship with MediaHub.)
BETA 3 Changelog: (Page 62)
ROM:
-Galaxy S II lockscreen
-Fixed Adobe Flash
-Changed hsxpa to 2 (for real this time)
-Updated BusyBox to version 1.18.4 (fixes some things in root apps)
-Removed AOSP Gingerbread launcher (it can be a bit laggy with UXKG3 for some reason)
New Addons:
-Enable AOSP lockscreen
-Change overscroll from bounce to glow (AOSP yellow)
-Change overscroll from bounce to glow (Samsung blue)
-Disable all overscroll effects
-Disable CM7 style battery w/ percent
-Revert to the default Infused configuration
Tip:
-There is still some lockscreen lag, but it's only visual. If you quickly drag your finger across the screen it will unlock just as quickly as on Froyo builds despite the background taking a second to start moving. Luckily the Galaxy S II lockscreen makes it much easier to unlock directly to missed calls and messages.
v2.0.0 Stable Changelog: (Page 106)
Kernel:
-Rainbows fixed by LinuxBozo. CWM, video playback, and the camera viewfinder are all rainbow free and working perfectly now! Show your appreciation by clicking here and buying him a few beers!
-Battery charge current property fixed by Entropy512. This should fix apps like Current Widget.
ROM:
-Set wifi scan interval to 120 seconds (hopefully this will improve battery life a bit when wifi is enabled but not connected)
v2.0.1 Changelog: (Page 178)
Kernel:
-Disabled Carrier IQ. It's a service that runs in the background and collects and sends anonymous network statistics to carriers. It was eating cpu cycles and nothing about this was good.
ROM:
-Removed Carrier IQ
-New AOSP style notification pulldown theme
-Updated YouTube (obviously only included in the full install) (edit: no longer included in the full install either because Google is being retarded lately and releasing buggy updates)
v2.0.2 Changelog: (Page 192)
-Fixed HSPA+. Thanks to LinuxBozo (again... damn) for the suggested fix and to umm for testing it. I couldn't test this because I don't get HSPA+ in my area regardless. To complete the fix after updating, you need to go to Settings > Wireless and network > Mobile networks > Access Point Names and then select menu > Reset to default. When it finishes resetting select ATT PHONE and back out. You should be rocking HSPA+ now.
New addon (8/9):
-Added an addon to install the newly redesigned Market. I modified it to fix the insufficient space error. Don't give Google any credit for getting off their asses, because they haven't yet.
Status Update (8/10):
The ROM has been pulled for a couple days while I investigate network connection speed issues.
READ CAREFULLY - NEED TO KNOW INFORMATION:
Updated 8/7 @ 1:00PM
1) Do NOT install Beta 1 and 2 themes on Beta 3 and newer! THEY WILL NOT WORK!
2) Do NOT restore system data with Titanium Backup. Do NOT restore ALL apps with data. If you absolutely must restore something with Titanium Backup, only restore MISSING apps with data.
Tips and answers to common questions
Updated 8/5 @ 8:00PM
1) Animations are disabled by default. Enable them by going to Settings > Display > Animation and selecting "All Animations". If you don't do this, you won't see the CRT screen off animation!
2) If your GPS isn't locking, try this: Go to the phone app and dial *#*#3214789650#*#*. The Angry GPS configuration app will open. Clear GPS data and back out. It may help to reboot after doing that as well.
3) If the power widget isn't working and shows no icons, simply toggling something like GPS in the notification pulldown will fix it. This doesn't seem to be something I caused, but rather a bug in the Rogers shipping ROM. I believe a lot of Galaxy S Gingerbread builds have this problem as well, so it's a Samsung trademark.
Installing from AT&T/Rogers stock, Infused v1, or Infused V2 BETA 1:
Updated 8/7 @ 1:00PM - Clarifications
1) You must be rooted.
2) If you have a /Voodoo folder on your internal SD card, delete it and reboot.
3) If you're already running a custom ROM with Voodoo lagfix FULLY enabled, you can skip to step 7.
4) Download CWM-community-kernel-v8.zip if you're on Froyo or CWM-infused-v2.0.1-kernel.zip if you're on Gingerbread and place it on your internal SD card.
5) Install SGS Kernel Flasher from the Market.
6) Open SGS Kernel Flasher, select choose kernel, select the file you downloaded, and select flash kernel. Your phone will reboot and begin to enable Voodoo lagfix. Let it do that and boot all the way up. It will take a while (5-10 minutes) because it's converting all partitions to ext4.
7) If you're on Froyo, you must now install a file explorer like Root Explorer from the Market and use it to delete the file /system/bin/recovery. You will need to hit the "Mount R/W" button in Root Explorer before it will let you delete it. I can't stress this enough... you MUST MUST MUST delete that file before continuing or else you will get boot loops!
8) Now install ROM Manager from the Market and open it.
9) Select "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery" and choose "Galaxy S i9000".
10) Now go to "Download ROM", select my section (gtg465x), select the latest Infused V2 release, and hit the download button.
11) At the "Installation Type" prompt, select full.
12) Select the addons you wish to install and then wait for ROM Manager to download the ROM. There is a note at the bottom of this post about which addons are not compatible with each other.
13) When you get to the "ROM Pre-Installation" prompt, you MUST check "Wipe Data and Cache" unless you're coming from Infused V2 BETA 1.
14) Press OK. Your phone will reboot and automatically install the ROM. Just sit back and relax.
15) Do NOT restore system data with Titanium Backup. Do NOT restore ALL apps with data. If you absolutely must restore something with Titanium Backup, only restore MISSING apps with data.
Updating from Infused v2 BETA 2, 3, or v2.0.0 Stable:
Updated 8/5
1) Install ROM Manager from the Market and open it.
2) If you aren't able to select "Download ROM", select "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery" and choose "Galaxy S i9000".
3) Now go to "Download ROM", select my section (gtg465x), select the latest Infused V2 release, and hit the download button.
4) At the "Installation Type" prompt, select "Full" if you're on BETA 2, select "v2.0.0 - v2.0.2 Update" if you're on BETA 3 or v2.0.0 Stable, or select "v2.0.1 - v2.0.2 Update" if you're on... you guessed it... v2.0.1.
5) Select the addons you wish to install and then wait for ROM Manager to download the update. There is a note at the bottom of this post about which addons are not compatible with each other.
6) When you get to the "ROM Pre-Installation" prompt, you can uncheck "Wipe Dalvik Cache" and press OK.
7) Your phone will reboot and automatically install the update. Just sit back and relax.
Installing addons:
Updated 8/5
1) Install ROM Manager from the Market and open it.
2) Select "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery" and choose "Galaxy S i9000".
3) Now go to "Download ROM", select my section (gtg465x), select the latest Infused V2 release, and hit the download button.
4) At the "Installation Type" prompt, select "Addons only".
5) Select the addons you wish to install and then wait for ROM Manager to download them. There is a note at the bottom of this post about which addons are not compatible with each other.
6) When you get to the "ROM Pre-Installation" prompt, you can uncheck "Wipe Dalvik Cache" and press OK.
7) Your phone will reboot and automatically install the addons. Just sit back and relax.
Known issues: (yes, we are working on these)
-No HDMI support. It was not present in the Rogers base ROM.
-The default lockscreen is a bit laggy. Again, the Rogers base ROM shipped this way. Use the AOSP lockscreen addon or WidgetLocker if you can't stand it.
Note about addons: The only overscroll addon that is compatible with "Disable CM7 style battery w/ percent" is "Change overscroll from bounce to glow (AOSP yellow)", and for that to work you need to flash "Change overscroll from bounce to glow (AOSP yellow)" first. "Change overscroll from bounce to glow (Samsung blue)" and "Disable all overscroll effects" will not work with "Disable CM7 style battery w/ percent".
I do this for fun so you shouldn't feel any obligation to donate, but here's a link if you want to. Donations of any amount are very much appreciated.

BETA 3 Changelog:
Luckily the Galaxy S II lockscreen makes it much easier to unlock directly to missed calls and messages.
v2.0.0 Stable Changelog:
Kernel:
-Rainbows fixed by LinuxBozo. CWM, video playback, and the camera viewfinder are all rainbow free and working perfectly now!
-Battery charge current property fixed by Entropy512. This should fix apps like Current Widget.
ROM:
-Set wifi scan interval to 120 seconds (hopefully this will improve battery life a bit when wifi is enabled but not connected)
v2.0.1 Changelog:
Kernel:
-Disabled Carrier IQ. It's a service that runs in the background and collects and sends anonymous network statistics to carriers. It was eating cpu cycles and nothing about this was good.
ROM:
-Removed Carrier IQ
-New AOSP style notification pulldown theme
v2.0.4 Changelog:
-Another attempt to fix HSPA+ (modified CSC, stock Froyo APNs, and UCKE3 modem)
v2.0.5 Changelog:
-Brand new modem and ril for you guys to test (KH2 from the Galaxy S 4G)
v2.1.0 Changelog:
LinuxBozo's Hellraiser Beta 6 Kernel:
-Enabled TinyRCU (Entropy512)
-Added Simple IO Scheduler (drowningchild)
-Conservative governor tweaked and set as default (LinuxBozo, netarchy)
-Added interactive governor with tweaks (LinuxBozo, netarchy)
-Added smartass governor (LinuxBozo)
-Added Voodoo Sound v10 (partially working) (Entropy512, bedwa)
-Various fixes
ROM:
-Changed to Nexus boot animation and disabled shutdown animation
-Enabled ad blocking via hosts file
-Brought back the AOSP launcher (now lag free thanks to conservative gov)
-Updated to the new Market, modified to fix the insufficient space error
-Updated Maps, YouTube, and Swype
-Removed Samsung Apps
-Dalvik VM heap size changed from 64M to 48M so less RAM is wasted
-Reverted to UXKG3 ril and UCKE3 modem
-New network tweaks which may improve network performance in some areas
-Fixed APNs for Rogers users and included more APNs for those on other carriers
-ROM package no longer does a full wipe (only /system is wiped)
-Brought back ROM Manager support
v2.2.0 Changelog:
-Fixed an issue that sometimes caused the phone to have no service if rebooted while charging
-Updated to the UCKI3 rils and modem to fix network speed issues
-Updated to the UCKI3 camera libs to fix video recording framerate
-Updated to the latest Market (3.1.5) and modified it to fix the insufficient space error
-Updated Google Maps
v2.2.1 Changelog:
-Fixed GPS (Locks, especially the first one, may be a bit slow though. Test it out a bit and report your findings.)
-Updated to the UCKI4 rils and modem (Let me know if your speeds are still as good as they were with v2.2.0/UCKI3)
v2.2.2 Changelog:
-Reverted to KG3 rils and GPS files so that GPS will work well for everyone (Hopefully this doesn't mess up our improved network speeds. I suspect it may for some, but we'll see. If it does, try the KI3 modem as well.)
v2.2.3 Changelog:
-Reverted to the KI3 modem (Seems to work better than KI4 for most people. If you already flashed this modem on top of v2.2.2 there's no reason to flash this update.)
READ CAREFULLY - NEED TO KNOW INFORMATION:
1) Do NOT restore system data with Titanium Backup. Do NOT restore ALL apps with data. If you absolutely must restore something with Titanium Backup, only restore MISSING apps with data.
Tips and answers to common questions:
ROM Manager Installation Instructions:
CWM Installation Instructions:
7) Download update-infused-v2.X.X-full.zip and place it on your internal SD card.
8) Power off your phone.
9) With the phone powered off, hold both volume keys and the power button for about 10 seconds and then release. This should boot you into RED CWM.
10) Select "install zip from sdcard" and select update-infused-v2.X.X-full.zip.
11) Once that finishes, select "wipe data/factory reset".
12) Select "reboot system now".
13) Do NOT restore system data with Titanium Backup. Do NOT restore ALL apps with data. If you absolutely must restore something with Titanium Backup, only restore MISSING apps with data.
How to manually install an update to Infused:
1) Make sure the vX.X.X portion of the update file name (update-infused-vX.X.X-vY.Y.Y-update.zip) matches the version of Infused you're currently running.
2) Download update-infused-vX.X.X-vY.Y.Y-update.zip and place it on your internal SD card.
3) Power off your phone.
4) With the phone powered off, hold both volume keys and the power button for about 10 seconds and then release. This should boot you into red CWM.
5) Select "install zip from sdcard" and select update-infused-vX.X.X-vY.Y.Y-update.zip.
6) Select "reboot system now".
Installing addons:
Known issues:
-No HDMI support. It was not present in the Rogers base ROM.
----ROM----
update-infused-v2.2.3-full.zip (180MB)
update-infused-v2.2.2-v2.2.3-update.zip (9MB)
update-infused-v2.1.0-v2.2.3-update.zip (12MB)
----Kernels----
CWM-infused-v2.0.1-kernel.zip
----Addons----
-Enable AOSP lockscreen
-Change overscroll from bounce to glow (AOSP yellow)
-Change overscroll from bounce to glow (Samsung blue)
-Disable all overscroll effects
-Disable CM7 style battery w/ percent
-Revert to the default Infused configuration
Note about addons: The only overscroll addon that is compatible with "Disable CM7 style battery w/ percent" is "Change overscroll from bounce to glow (AOSP yellow)", and for that to work you need to flash "Change overscroll from bounce to glow (AOSP yellow)" first. "Change overscroll from bounce to glow (Samsung blue)" and "Disable all overscroll effects" will not work with "Disable CM7 style battery w/ percent".
----Old versions----
update-infused-v2.2.1-full.zip

Kernel?
Does using the Infuse GB kernel 1.0 make a difference with what your testing for gtg.
is the infuse kernel you included any better/makes no difference or what?
upgrading to 2.0.4 later tonight. to see if it will fix the HSPA issue.

Kernel shouldn't make a difference for network speed testing. At least not in this case.
Just an FYI... v2.0.4 may be no better than v2.0.1. In fact, if it doesn't fix HSPA+, it could actually be worse if battery life degrades as well. There have been no real improvements since v2.0.1... just attempts to fix HSPA+. If you're happy with your network speeds on v2.0.1, I recommend staying there for now.

I am in oklahoma city and never got above 2Mbps ever on my infused with (2. 02). I have a grandfathered unlimited plan from my iPhone days. I read a thread on xda that said they might not have transitioned my plan correctly and gave the codes that I should have when i call. So I talked to About 5 different reps all of them told me I had to lose unlimited to get 4g speeds. Finally one of them switched my plan for me and when I got off the phone I rebooted the phone and got 5.55Mbps. I am curious what speeds you are seeing and if you came from an. IPhone or not.

Hi GTG.
First of all, I love your work.
I flashed the 2.4 ROM tonight. I am experiencing a problem. I cannot make calls with the ROM, I can with the other ROMs so the phone is fine. The call icon in the top bar remains there after I try to end the call. Hope this helps, if you need anything from me to help solve this let me know.
Thanks
Carl.

Same applies for v2.0.2 and v2.0.3. If you're happy with your network speeds, no reason to install v2.0.4 just yet. v2.0.4 is for those who haven't had great network speeds or working HSPA+ in previous versions. And it's a test version so I'm not guaranteeing it fixes HSPA+.
For future reference, please try to ask questions like this in the Q&A thread linked to in the first post.

Just Installed
Definitely always erase the big three, especially when coming from another build. I had no issues installing, will check it out and report back later. Thanks gummy, love your ROMS.

Just got the highest quadrant I have ever had at 1824! Feels very snappy!
Second time around worked without fail!
hmmm.... I'm getting the bootloop on my third flash. Maybe I am doing something wrong. Not sure though. Wiped the big three before each try. I'm sure it'll be awesome when I get it !
just flashed over ep1w with voodoo and it booted up fine first try.
Actually my phone doesn't recognize when it is plugged in. On the lock screen it says connect your charger but in the status menu it says charging (I hope. Ill confirm that tomorrow.) Also when I turned the phone off it kept battery looping. as in going in and out of the battery icon graphic.

Guys this is Voodoo, so if you are on RFS (nonvoodoo) you gotta wait for the lady to shut up and convert your RFS system into EXT4. I was hoping for an RFS version of this, oh well.

Question about overclocking this ROM
First off: Thanks team gummy for all your work!
Is overclocking something that can / should be done with this ROM?
If so, seems like voltage control app doesn't work / recognize with the included kernel ...
Does setcpu work (just wanted to check before I shell out the whopping $1.99for the app)?
This will be my last ROM until Google drops ICS. Awsome job, this rom is so damn stable and fast that I don't even need TSM parts!

I selected Glass unlock for the Unlock Screen option, and set the "Set screen lock" to "None", but when I unlock, still get the padlock slider. Any way to force Glass unlock?

First off: Thanks team gummy for all your work!
Is overclocking something that can / should be done with this ROM?
If so, seems like voltage control app doesn't work / recognize with the included kernel ...
Does setcpu work (just wanted to check before I shell out the whopping $1.99for the app)?

This week is "Geek Week" over at Amazon. SetCPU is .99, as well as good sales on Root Explorer and a few other Root apps. So if you do decide to grab it, make sure you get it on sale.

[Ep4D][Rom][Cwm][Odin]TweakStock v1.5 UPDATED 4/10/12

UPDATE - see here for an EP4D update - Tweaked 1.5.
Over the last month or two I decided I would take a crack at learning some things, and so far it seems to have progressed nicely. Given the sorts of things that I tried to figure out, posting something that summarizes the culmination of said learnings seemed appropriate. If nothing else, I figured some would find it nice to have a little more variety as far as ROM choices are concerned. That being said, what is posted here is essentially stock EP4D, with some bells and whistles thrown in - and a pretty face thanks to stranula. Thanks also go out to skydeaner on IRC and gunnermike53 for offering up some server space for files.
I AM IN NO WAY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS (GOOD OR BAD) AS A RESULT OF FLASHING OR ATTEMPTING TO FLASH WHAT IS POSTED HERE! As an additional disclaimer - I still feel as if I am pretty new to all of this, but this has worked for me and a few others that were kind enough to try. That being said, as always YMMV.
I'm not entirely sure what the best way is to set this all up, but here's a look at what I did to get to this point. I started with the deodexed/zipaligned EP4D posted here, then attempted a debloat. then attempted a debloat. I haven't done much of that sort if thing prior to this, but it seems to have gone okay (and I welcome suggestions on what else should be or what should not have been removed). That being said, in case there is something missing that you wanted I included a .zip of all the deodexed /system/app apks in the download section at the bottom of this post. Then, using the work done on Infinity, GummyCharged, and Eclipse as examples, as well as various guides found on xda and information found through repeated Google searches, I began my attempts at modifiying a number of files. This was quite the learning process (smali is equal parts comprehensible and baffling), and while I am unsure if the methods I ended up using were the best choice, the end result was they worked, so I was happy. See the changelog in post 2 below for a list of the ends such modifications achieved.
If there is anything you would like to see (or wish wasn't there) on this list, let me know. I can't promise I'll do anything about it, but such requests keep me motivated and learning - and thats the whole reason this ROM came about in the first place (it all started with figuring out how to modify the power menu).
You will need to have either CWM (version 5.0.2.7 can be found here, but earlier versions like 4.0.1.4 will work fine as well) already on your phone or ODIN already on your computer, and I would strongly recommend doing a data wipe/factory reset within CWM before flashing either of the CWM .zips (that's what I've been doing at least and I have had no problems).
Also - I am no longer bundling my repacked kernel in anything, as I have found the 0130 PBJ kernel to be far superior. If you choose to use the repacked kernel, MAKE SURE voodoo lagfix is completely disabled (i.e. /data, /dbdata, /cache, and /system all need to be rfs, i.e. NOT ext4) BEFORE flashing!!! For those interested, the experimental repacked kernel is essentially JUST THE STOCK EP4D kernel - with 2 edits that deal with how adb interacts with the phone and speeding up the media scan at bootup. That being said, go with the PBJ kernel. Seriously.
MY GENERAL RECOMMENDATION:
ODIN back to stock EP4D BEFORE you flash anything. It just makes for far fewer problems.
CWM Installation instructions:
- Backup your current setup/data
- Download file and place on sdcard
- Boot into CWM recovery
- If flashing full ROM package, wipe data/factory reset (Recommended - not necessary depending on your situation I suppose)
- If flashing v1.1 patch, make sure to ALREADY BE ON v1.0 and wipe cache/dalvik (again, just my recommendation)
- If flashing v1.4 patch, make sure to ALREADY BE ON v1.1 and wipe cache/dalvik (again, just my recommendation)
- If flashing experimental kernel - you better not be ext4!
- I recommend mounting /system (so it should say "unmount" after system)
- Install the .zip you put on your sdcard
ODIN Installation instructions:
- Download file on to computer and unzip it (w/ 7-zip or the like)
- Put phone into download mode
- Connect phone to computer (assuming all is well with the drivers)
- Open ODIN (I have been using 1.83)
- Place the .tar.md5 file in PDA!
- Flash away

---CHANGELOG---
Version 1.4 - 2/4/12
- Added in Download Crutch to allow download of wider variety of files (thanks to the unknown-to-me maker of this)
- Added in TweakPapers thanks to gunnermike53 - some nifty wallpapers
- Changed the transparency in Mms.apk to slightly less transparent (with help from stranula)
- Cleaned up the underlying code of a number of toggles that were misbehaving
***** While it works fine, flashlight still needs to be addressed somewhat
- Added end-user options for hiding various icons in statusbar - see Notes below for info
***** Bluetooth
***** E911
***** Vibrate/Silent
***** Alarm
- Added end-user options for enabling/disabling low/full battery notification
- Added in stay-awake-while-charging feature (thanks to imnuts for some helpful tips)
- Disabled some notifications
***** Data off warning at bootup
***** Confirmation alert when USB connecting phone to PC
- Custom carrier text option - make your own instead of choosing from my choices (credit to TSM for a model to follow on this)
***** Requires reboot for change in pulldown to take effect
- Rearranged Display Settings to hopefully make the new options seem more organized
- Volume rocker no longer wakes phone when lockscreen disabled
- Custom shutdown animation (credit to various threads and Infinity for images and information on how to implement this)
- Included custom boot animation (Blu Plazma II by JaeKar99), but requires supporting kernel (like PBJ...)
***** To change, make sure new boot animation is saved as sanim.zip and place it in /system/media/
***** JaeKar99 has made some AMAZING ones that can be found here
***** These come in varying formats - see the post by bvsbutthd101 here for some quick tips on how to approach things
- Altered some default settings (can be seen after data wipe) - for example:
***** Wi-Fi off on first boot
***** USB Debugging enabled
- Fixed/edited Dialer thanks to gunnermike53!
- End user has option to removed data and airplane mode toggles from the extended power menu (thanks to Endless2232)

- Ported over the mod by lidroid (found here), but without using lidroid-res.apk (everything was merged into framework-res.apk)
***** This mod gives you 14 scrollable quickpanel toggles accessible through the pulldown menu
***** You can modify the availability, order, and some other things using Quickpanel settings from the Settings menu
***** TIP: Try long-pressing the toggles... in particular the Data toggle. It will bring you close to a screen that will allow to switch between 3G and 4G - closest thing to a toggle for that currently
- Added back in the alarm icon in statusbar
- Can now select if clock moves or not (rotate screen to force the change)
- Can now select lockscreen and pulldown carrier text from three options (latter requires reboot to see change)
- Can now disable lockscreen in Display Settings

- Added in imnuts's CWM recovery to one of the ODIN variants (found here)
- Zip aligned
NOTES:
While I am unsure how relevant it is now, I have encountered an occasional odd issue in the past with CWM after flashing that seems to require adb to resolve.
The issue is that after flashing and then booting into recovery, I occasionally get a "can't mount /sdcard" error. Apparently that in itself is a known issue, and it is listed as such in the CWM recovery thread.
The fix requires you to perform the following commands using ADB:
Code:
adb shell
umount /sdcard
rm -f /sdcard
mkdir /sdcard
exit
If you do not have ADB installed and you are having the "can't mount /sdcard" error after flashing - I have a possible workaround for you. Download the ADBsdcardFix.zip here - then extract the folder (should be fine to extract it to your desktop) and attach your phone to the computer via USB (I did this while the phone was already in CWM). Open the newly-extracted ADB folder, and then double-click on the CWMsdcardFix.bat - something should pop up on the screen for a brief second, which is completely normal. After double-clicking the .bat file, on the phone go to mounts and storage, then select mount /sdcard - and it now should work!
Either approach here (adb code or the stuff in ADBsdcardFix.zip) has worked every time I have needed it, although again in my experience I have not been able to cull the rhyme or reason out of when that need will present itself.
The statusbar tweaks all require a little effort on your part for changes to take effect. All changes can be elicited with a reboot, BUT for most there are other ways:
- Move statusbar clock -- get screen to rotate
- Bluetooth/vibrate-silent/alarm icons -- just change their state (on/off or vibrate/sound, etc)
- E911 -- Go into Settings > Location and security... you don't need to do anything else, you should see the change
- Carrier text -- Lockscreens change automatically, but the pulldown only changes with reboot currently

This looks great! I'm going to convert to RFS and try it out in the morning. Thanks for spending the time to make this!
Edit: I flashed the version that does not come with a kernel instead, and coming from InfinityROM with ext4 it works just fine. I did not wipe data or cache. It looks and runs nice and stranula's theme is very classy. Keep up the good work!
Thanx alot, now I have something to flash when decide to get out of bed. 4 am here, lol. Can you say flashaholic?
nice job
good write up in the op as well...its nice to see that u got it right on the first attempt
some times theres little to no info, and it makes it tough for users to know the ins and outs of what they are flashing...not the case here!
Touchwiz widgets

If you look in the EP4DSysApps.zip, you should see a few .apks that start with the name SamsungWidget - maybe try those. There are a number of ways to get these on your phone, but I also added a link in the OP to a blank CWM file. All you need to do is take whatever app you are interested in flashing, then drop it in the system/app folder in the blank cwm .zip. I hope this helps!
EDIT: If you DLed this file before 11:40pm on 12/23/11 - delete it and redownload it. Noticed a mistake in the updater-script and it will cause some not-so-fun issues... Ones that can be resolved by reflashing the main ROM CWM .zip - but not-so-fun nonetheless.
I know I'm probably the only person that likes the clock in the status bar, but I actually use it alot. Is there a way to get it back. I want this to be my daily driver for a while. Thanks for any help.
I know how you like challenges and I have one that would be a really nice edition. I would love to see this implemented. It adds buttons to the quickpanel, it's takes some smali know how which I have none. I have to admit, I tried it the other day to no avail, it would be nice to see it ported and I have faith in you

I could put something together for you to make that happen. That being said, it is visible near the date in the pulldown, meaning a quick touch to the statusbar shows the clock. Let me know if you still want it and I'll get something together for you tonight.

Interesting... I'll have to take a look at that - thanks!
Yes please its just one of those things that I'm used to. You know how hard change can be. Really enjoying the Rom. Thanks
I'm flashing now. Thanks for the new ROM and great writeup.
I dont know very much about this stuff, but it kinda seems like you've done more than enough to not have to put "stock" in the title. Looks like a fully fledged custom ROM to me! Nice job, man! Will try it out this weekend.
Very nice no problems. Thank you

IMPORTANT: Please read this thread about MTD if you don't know what it is or means.
For those of us who just want our phones to $%#^@! work.
This is a clean EI22 based ROM with a custom Black theme. While much of the preloaded Sprint bloatware is removed, useful stock software like ThinkFree Office, MyFiles, Memo, Clock, and calculator are left in. Stability is the number one priority in this ROM. Those who are into bleeding edge/ricer ROMs will probably find this ROM boring.
Feature List:
Based on the original leaked EI22 NANDroid dump (noobnl)
Deodexed
Custom EI22 kernel with the following features:
init.d script support
keyboard fixes
overclocking to 1.4Ghz
Voltage control
WIFI stability fixes
CWM5 Support
bootanimation.zip support (None included by default. Place one into '/system/media' and it will play)
Carrier IQ ("CIQ") removed (k0nane)
Yaffs2 file system (MTD partition map)
Stock Gingerbread Launcher with 3D fix (hoffman1984)
GPS Fix (hienkhieu)
Proper Reboot and Reboot to CWM Recovery on the power menu (Thanks to untermensch for the excellent quide)
Hacked Sprint Hotspot (Tortel1210)

FAQ:
Q: Why should I move to a MTD based ROM?
A: Cyanogen Mod for the Epic 4G, which is being worked on right now requires the MTD partition layout. Once you flash a MTD based ROM, the only way to go back to a stock ROM which uses Samsung proprietary BML partition layout, is with ODIN. This is a major inconvenience for many as ODIN is notoriously unreliable. You can move between MTD based ROMs without the use of ODIN.
Q: When moving from a BML to an MTD ROM can I use Nandroid backup to backup and restore my data?
A: Yes, but the process is a bit more involved (Thanks to Tortell1210 for this guide):
To restore data from a nandroid backup:
Mount your sdcard as USB storage
Navigate to clockworkmod/backups/<LAST BACKUP>/
Rename system.rfs.tar to system.yaffs2.tar, data.rfs.tar to data.yaffs2.tar
Open the nandroid.md5 file, replace all rfs in the filenames with yaffs2
Save/close, unmount USB, and reboot into recovery
Advanced restore data (And system if you really want). Only advanced restore, or else it will give you a BML kernel and recovery, which wont boot
Reboot!
(If you were on ext4, just replace rfs with ext4)
If you want your previous Rom, advanced restore system too.
Q: Where is the bootanimation.zip and how can I change the boot animation?
A: The stock boot animation is actually contained in the framework-res.apk file. If you want to use a custom boot animation, all you have to do is place your bootanimation.zip in the /system/media directory and it will play instead of the stock one.
Q: What about [insert feature here]?
A: See the todo list below

AWESOME!!! Thanks so much for this!
Toad,
I read the instructions, but I'm a little confused, so I'll just ask.
1) I'm on Clean GB1.0....Can I just flash this? If I loose my data, no biggie, I'll restore from Titanium and redo my device. Are there advantages?
2) Is the Kernel built in or flash it separately?
Thanks!!!!!

If you are on CleanGB 1.0, which is BML, your data partition will be wiped. You will have to restore your stuff via Titanium. nandroid backup can be used also, but you have to edit the backup file names before you restore them.

The kernel is built in.

Thanks for the reply. What are the advantages of the ROM as compared to GB1.0.
Also, can I use Titanium without renaming.
THANKS!

The Stockish ROM will do your laundry; this one will sort the colors first.

LOL, nice!
What are the main differences between your kernel and the Stock-ish kernel or zman's MTD kernel? Is this more optimized for speed, stability, performance..?
Wait, so Toad, does your MTD have 4G? I'm lucky enough to live in an area with good 4G and despite what I thought I couldn't live without it and had to Odin back to a regular ROM

Yes. 4G works. 4G only doesn't work on Cyanogen Mod and MIUI ROMs because they use open source only kernels. This ROM still has Samsung's Wimax driver which is what you need for 4G.
With MTD TW ROMs, you can go back and forth between TW ROMS and CM7/MIUI without having to use ODIN.
Toadlife, does link2sd work on MTD ? please help...
Thanks
