Hey Guys,
I'm thinking about to installed the Nextgen+ ROM on my workable HTC HD7 but I just wanna know, it is possible to save my whole data (like: savegames, apps, and so on) and restore back to my phone on the new ROM? I've never jail breaked my phone so can anybody tell my what I should do?
BTW: my Phone is installed with Bootloader: 1.16.2250 (Security Unlocked) and can I install any ROM which I want? or what they mean with "Security Unlocked"?

A upated my HTC 7 Trophy to 7.1.7720 but i lost my jailbreak!
Now when i try load my backup i have still 7.1.7720 ,still locked!
Can anyone tell me what can i do?
Or can i flash another ROM?

If you can't restore to a version with a working unlock, flashing is your only option.
I have a similar problem - no unlock after the update (I was coming from NoDo via 7403, and it didn't even give me time to do anything inbetween). I haven't tried restoring yet.

Sorry but I don't know... You don't have to go the HSPL route though, a stock ROM will do as well. The only problem is figuring out what went wrong any how to avoid the problem next time.
How can i found good stock Rom for my phone?

hello .... i recently bought Htc HD7 and i want to know that can i install custom apps like i download it from my computer and then install in my device with stock rom.... or do i need to install custom rom into the device??

well i m reading threads for like 15days for installing custom rom but i m not understanding it all can some1 please push me in right direction like where to start.... all i came to know from this reading stuff is that i need to downgrade my bootloader .. maybe

i basically got my phone with windows phone 7 .... then i updated the os with zune...with the newest one....
For Homebrew Apps (Touchxprience, Touchxplorer.... ) you need an unlock device (custom rom)

Unfortunetly because of your bootloader version you cannot get a custom rom. I have the same problem . However if you want to sideload apps you can pay for the chevron unlock and then Interop Unlock using this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1271963
Hi all, I have HTC Mozart with original 7220 ROM unlocked and with HSPL, can I update to 8107? Or is it going to brick my phone? I don't care if I loose unlock. And second question: which rom is in your opinion the best? There are so many I want rom that is fully unlocked, and the rest is intact - no custom boot screen, no preloaded themes, apps and whatever. Just clean 8107 rom with full unlock.. Is there any rom that fulfill this conditions. Thanks in advance.

You can find file for OS update from 7720 to 8107 and also HTC update...
And maybe some useful infos fom people that updated their device in this way.
I used some of this files to update my HTC Gold to 8107, starting from a 7720 ROM unlocked... And already able to deploy xap...
Hello. I got my HTC 7 Trophy developer - unlocked to install bt file sharing app, but it need fully unlocked phone... I tried getting it fully unlocked via RSPL launcher, I did everything by instructions, but it seems that i'm not getting "USB" sign at the bottom of the tri- color screen when im in bootloader. Anyone know how to fix this or another way to do full- unlock? Oh yeah, i tried custom rom... not working... It says that it's not connected to computer when in bootloader, but when it' regular, it connects to zune and sync and stuff.... Sorry for my english, and i'm also kind of noob when it gets to this... Help is appreciated.

So I'm a noob to the WP7 Hacking Scene. I own a HTC HD7 so I personally think if I'm a power user I should be able to do as I please to my phone as I would with Windows (but that's a whole separate topic!). So I'm trying to backup my text messages but I'm running the latest HTC firmware so I obviously can't interop unlock my device. I was wondering if it would be possible to backup my device with WP7EasyBackup or the like, flash my device with a custom ROM that is interop-unlocked, and then somehow upgrade or cab upgrade to the back I originally made. This way I could then install SMSBackup and backup my SMS data and such.
Any help & info is greatly appreciated!!!!

wp backup, is your solution and only works with customs...
So what would happen if I were to attempt the mentioned plan ? Would the custom ROM fail to load the backup or would it relock the device? I was reading about a tool that prevents the relock when you apply an update to it...
Forget the updates, install Deepshining or Dynamics and forget those pesky updates, you'll be fine with your UNLOCKED phone.
