well i m reading threads for like 15days for installing custom rom but i m not understanding it all can some1 please push me in right direction like where to start.... all i came to know from this reading stuff is that i need to downgrade my bootloader .. maybe
Device = HTC HD7 T9292
os version = 7.10.7720.68
bootloader version 5.0..2250.1(131000)
i basically got my phone with windows phone 7 .... then i updated the os with zune...with the newest one....
For Homebrew Apps (Touchxprience, Touchxplorer.... ) you need an unlock device (custom rom)
come on .... no one can help me here??
Unfortunetly because of your bootloader version you cannot get a custom rom. I have the same problem . However if you want to sideload apps you can pay for the chevron unlock and then Interop Unlock using this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1271963

Hi
my English is not the same very good
I think that you can help this way the firmware
It's not too hard and all you can do at home
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893152
This way you can put absolutely any firmware
your bootloader is SPL version 1.7
simple try change to HSPL 1.7 (if supported or try use closest to your)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195647
after instaling HSPL, use only Mango custom ROM's with disabled Zune update (this is important to prevent (H)SPL damage and halfbrick device).... custom ROM also is full unlocked. after upgrade to Mango, do hard reset and your device is fully ready to use (and also can use custom cab files for customization's)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17396493#post17396493
You can try do downgrade to official preNoDo or NoDo version from that topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1013810 or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=995999 If you install these ROM you change SPL to 1.22 or 1.24 and you can install HSPL and DFT ROM.
Thank´s
i will try the second way from Budniu at first.
I hope it works.
--edit--
So i install the first version from Budniu. Now im on 7.0.7004.0.
But my SPL is the same as before.
@dxdy
i can´t install HSPL. Thats my problem.
When i try to start RSPL to install HSPL, it say´s "Congrantulations" but my device is not boot in RSPL.
"On screen you should see "RSPL" instead "SPL-"
No i don´t see it. My Device stays on SPL.
Sorry for this second Post.
I Think this information can be important to find a possible solution.
Indifferent what Version is installed, i have every time these four apps on my device.
But i never downloadet this apps.
Thanks for your effort .

Ok I think your device is branded. I don't know what is your operator ? T-Mobile or o2. You have to read: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1307542, maybe one ROM from these help to you.
ohhh sorry i fortgotten to say this detail.
Yes my device is o2 Brandet.
And you must try ...

Upgrade SPL to SPL_Signed.nbh from Ansar 1.22 Europe ROM by GoldCard (ROM O2 1.24 version contains SPL 1.07 too!). I had 1.07 after unbrick too, now I have HSPL applicable 1.22. M.
I had the same problem and created a different thread (not realising it was the same)
the solution is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1505047
in effect, you need to flash a 1.22 rom, like, RUU_Gold_HTC_Europe_1.22.401.01_Radio_5.63.09.13_3a_22.36.50.15U_by_ansar
onto your device before you can then use the dft tool and then flash a custom rom.
Although it may be that there was no 1.22 rom for your german device at the time you posted...

Either install a custom 7740 DFT ROM for HD7, or flash a stock ROM.
If you flash a stock ROM, you need to unlock the phone using Chevron method, upgrade to NoDo and use the "provxml" method to retain your unlock in Mango 7720. I donno if the unlock is retained when you update to 7740 though.
Hi all, I have HTC Mozart with original 7220 ROM unlocked and with HSPL, can I update to 8107? Or is it going to brick my phone? I don't care if I loose unlock. And second question: which rom is in your opinion the best? There are so many I want rom that is fully unlocked, and the rest is intact - no custom boot screen, no preloaded themes, apps and whatever. Just clean 8107 rom with full unlock.. Is there any rom that fulfill this conditions. Thanks in advance.
Can anyone help?

Maybe you can find your solution reading Heathcliff74's thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1306415&highlight=gold.
You can find file for OS update from 7720 to 8107 and also HTC update...
And maybe some useful infos fom people that updated their device in this way.
I used some of this files to update my HTC Gold to 8107, starting from a 7720 ROM unlocked... And already able to deploy xap...
Hello
I know this has been discussed alot. But i just want to check in before doing this to my phone.
So i have upgraded to 5.11 Bootloader unwillingly and now i want to downgrade back to a 1.xx bootloader and install a HSPL So i could install a Custom full unlocked WP7 phone
First of all here is my phone's current status:
HTC 7 Mozart (1st gen) TMO branded with no sim lock
OS:7.10.7720.68
Firmware: 2250.21.50401.111
HW revision: 0004
Radio: 5.71.09.02a_22.51.50.21U
Bootloader: 5.11.2250.1(133065)
Unfortunately I have no access to any Android/WM 6.5 phone and i have no SD/micro-SD card (I can buy them, but i'd rather not because they have no use to me) But i do have a 8GB USB flash.
So, from what i have read, Since i have a TMO_DE (111) phone, I cannot use ansar's ROMs to downgrade and my only option would be the goldcard method.
The only thread about downgrading 5.xx SPL that i meet their requirements is This
So a few questions:
1. Do i have to use the Goldcard.IMG provided in that thread or i need to make myself one for Mozart as said in other threads?
2. Im going to use "RUU_Mozart_TMO_DE_1.30.401.01_Radio_5.54.09.21_22.33b.50U_NoDo_Signed_by_ansar" ROM. Is this correct ROM to do a downgrade with?
3. Just checking in, After a successful Downgrade (If i don't brick my phone) Im going to first Install HSPL as instructed in [DFT][Updated!#3] HSPL / RSPL for HTC WP7 First Generation And then Install a Custom ROM in [update][DFT Freedom ROM] Mozart mango 7720 V2 version. Is this right to get a FULL unlocked device?
4. After i Downgrade my phone using Goldcard, Do i get a working OS so i can resume the work later?
Thank you all. And let this topic stay to answer some newbies like me
Ad. 1. You can use Goldcard.img from that topic (post #5).
Ad. 2. I think so it's ok ROM, but you have to try.
Ad. 3. Yes.
Ad. 4. After downgrade you can install other stockROM or (if you have HSPL) costomROM. If you install stockROM you lost HSPL.
You can try that downgrade method (SLSPL by Ansar): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1196183 for HTC Mozart you have link in #2 post.
Question 4: Yes. Downgrading the SPL (even breaking it, which is what a "half-bricked" phone has) does not limit the ability of the OS to operate.
Note, however, that any official updates installed during this time may also include a new SPL, forcing you to downgrade it again if you want to use a custom ROM.

Hello
Thank you for your answers
about ansar's downgrade thread, Im not sure if i can use those roms for my phone. Can you confirm that they will work on my device?
I'd love such a easy method instead of creating a Y cable

Hello
So i assume that i won't get a full brick even if i get a failure update or even power loss in the middle of updating process?
Thank you

Are you read Ansar topic (point 3 - bold)?
The process is as simple as of these 3 steps
1. Download the proper SLSPL ROM for your branded device operator, see post #2
2. Flash the provided SLSPL ROM and will re-boot in tricolor Bootloader screen, see post #3
3. Flash ANY Stock ROM of your branded device operator and finish the story of 5.10 Bootloader

Yes, but i don't understand what it does mean exactly
Do you mean that those roms will work on my device (to downgrade it) but i need to have a Stock rom to install on it? (but i can install HSPL on top of it to get custom roms, right?)
I can't think of any other definition right now
And i'm sorry my english is not that good, so maybe you can clear it up for me if it's not that?
1. Install SLSPL ROM for Mozart: RUU_Mozart_HTC_Europe_5.11.401.01_SLSPL_Signed_by_ ansar.zip
2. Install branded stockROM=originalROM for Mozart. Download this one: RUU_Mozart_TMO_DE_1.25.111.05_5.50.09.18_22.24.50_RELEASE.exe
(source from @Football: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1427893)
3. Install RSPL/HSPL
4. Install customROM (what you want)
Now, it's clear ?

Thanks for clearing things up
Trying this now.
I have downloaded RUU_Mozart_HTC_Europe_5.11.401.01_SLSPL_Signed_by_ansar.zip And tried to flash my Mozart. But got the "INVALID VENDER ID" error (My phone is not branded). I live in Middle East. Does this mean that I can't use the Europe version (which ansar provided) to flash my Phone?
Apologies for the kind of naive question. I'm still a newbie in these stuff.
Hmmm I don't know why, but I think so you have to ask Ansar why you can't install that ROM.
Hi, I have HTC 7 Trophy, dev unlocked, can sideloading apps ( i think only 10) but theres problem...
I need to InteropUnlock, for unlimited apps and some SW
my phone - HTC 7 Trophy ( WP 7.5 Mango, 7.10.8107.79 )
please help
Try here looking at this thread and see.

I tried that, but not working for me...
Unfortunately it sounds like you have the v2 HTC driver which prevents this from working. If you have a backup from late last year try going back to it and interop-unlock using this method and then you can update and keep the unlock (but if you lose IU with the v2 you will be in the same situation and have to go back to a v1 driver).
If you do not have an old backup then you can try to install a custom unlocked ROM or go back to an old original ROM for your device (but you are flashing a ROM either way). Other than this I do not know of a way.
