I have a hd7 which i recently upgraded to mango 7740, and i have been always afraid to unlock my phone so i could install homebrew apps or deploy stuff, but im starting to gain interest in doing it. the only problem is that i dont know how to.. i´ve read around the forums but still havent understood how do it. can some1 help me?:s

Either install a custom 7740 DFT ROM for HD7, or flash a stock ROM.
If you flash a stock ROM, you need to unlock the phone using Chevron method, upgrade to NoDo and use the "provxml" method to retain your unlock in Mango 7720. I donno if the unlock is retained when you update to 7740 though.

Basiclly I had mango installed on my phone and saw that everyone was unlocking them and so I went back to my nodo backup. I was reading a tut that was ment for pre nodo and it didnt say that so I hard reset my phone. After looking everywhere on how to unlock nodo I found nothing. So Now I have a stock nodo rom on my phone is it possible to unlock it and then bring it up to mango still unlocked. Btw I have an HTC Arrive
u would have to flash back to pre nodo rom then unlock with chevron and use tut to pass chevron unlock to mango
Where is a rom I could download/use for my phone. Htc Arrive,I got my phone with nodo already on it so I dont have a pre nodo backup

OK I go it to flash but now it thinks its an HTC MWP. Also It still wont let me unlock it. Can someone please help me. I flashed it so its now version 7392 so can it be unlocked

I have sprint and USA. Also I am now at nodo and Im preety sure I read that its impossible for the HTC arrive
Sorry, you CANNOT have HTC Arrive without NoDo. NoDo added CDMA support which is needed to operate on Sprint's network.
yea day2die is right sorry ... looks like u need to flash the sprint nodo rom back on to ur phone
that really sucks. Well can I flash pre nodo with out any service and then unlock. then flash to sprint rom
you would have to wait and see if there will be a custom rom avail which would be already unlocked and have to use rspl for the bootloader to allow u to flash a custom rom... but then u wont be able to update through sprint probably
Im running 7720rtm (leaked) unlocked. Ive been getting alot of notifications to update my phone. I want to download those updates, but how do I do it without losing chevron unlock?
Im sure there is a guide but im not exactly sure what im looking for

I know this has been covered but im not up to date on the new lingo and the updates microsoft has been putting out. I am at 7720 (leaked, not beta) and unlocked and have need getting update notifications. I want to install the updates but I want to stay unlocked.
Also, what are we calling those updates, are they different from 7720, someone please educate me on this casue im really in the dark here.

I've also updated my Windows Phone (Samsung Omnia 7) from 7720 leaked RTM unlocked with Chevron WP7 with the Zune update and I didn't lose the jailbreak, so don't worry and update normally via Zune

You can do the update without losing chevron. I am at 7720.68 and still unlocked.

I am a noob on flashing Windows Phones. Since I cannot wait for interop-unlock for my phone I could use some help on flashing my AT&T surround.
1) How do I use the DTF RSPL to flash their rom? If someone has a sort of complete tutorial on how to do that I'll really apppreciate.
2) They said not to use RSPL with Mango RUU or with SHubert 4.XX. I have Mango (7720) installed on my device with all the updates. Can I still use RSPL (version and number looks compatible)?
If not of them is working can I revert back to Nodo (and how) to interop unlock and then upgrade.
I have searched the whole forum but I am not able to get a complete view of the processes.

i am new here, and already read some of the forums or threads related to my problem but still i can get the right answer that i wanted...
my phone is an HTC HD7 form t-mobile and recently i update it with zune, so now it has accure acquired the new mango FW, after that i want to unlock my phone so i can deploy .xap files and my projects..
i have tried the chevronWP7 but it doesn't work, i gives me an error that i should connect my device in a USB and recognized it by zune, but those things i already have done and still no progress..
i also register my phone to XAP HUB but i cant affored that $99 fee on signing.. thats stupid.. that thing should be free..
can you give me any recommendations that i should do in order to unlock this device in order for me to deploy programs...

Chevron unlock methods only work on OS version 7004 and 7008. Flash it to factory ROM, unlock it and use provxml method to retain unlock in mango and then update to mango.
Or you could use a DFT mango custom ROM.
Follow the instructions to install the Rom in a correct way.
If you have problems to connect your phone with the software
you maybe forgot to install all the drivers and software that is needed.
Do you see in the Bootloader "Serial" or "USB" ???

And second question: which rom is in your opinion the best? There are so many I want rom that is fully unlocked, and the rest is intact - no custom boot screen, no preloaded themes, apps and whatever. Just clean 8107 rom with full unlock.. Is there any rom that fulfill this conditions. Thanks in advance.

You can find file for OS update from 7720 to 8107 and also HTC update...
And maybe some useful infos fom people that updated their device in this way.
I used some of this files to update my HTC Gold to 8107, starting from a 7720 ROM unlocked... And already able to deploy xap...
