- 2 weeks ago, i dont know what happen, all apps crash, show like they are not installed,
market gone too, I just have the phone, the music app, and messages,
I want back to the old version, 2.1
I just need use the flash tool ? or i need do something ? Is dangerous?

Hi everyone, I'm new here, i did register a while ago but i do not sign in that often, i thought of getting an iPhone 4 but i never liked being constricted to an OS. I liked the Nexus S as it is way better than the iPhone for me.
Anyways i just got a brand new Nexus S but it didn't launch here, I'm living in Dubai and i need to root the Nexus S , well not really but if i didn't ill miss out the:
1.Arabic keyboard and Reading Arabic in websites,
2.I will miss out the market enabler, because here we r limited to the free apps only
*Plus I'm not sure if MMS will work because now its NOT working even with the "ETISALAT" APN settings provided, but the 3G did work.
So my questions are:
1. Do i need to Root ? if YES -which is the best way, and -do i need to backup and -how do i backup ?
2. If i did root will i lose my OTA updates that are coming from Google, if NOT then will they unroot my device if i installed them ?
3. Does anybody know how to enable Arabic and install the best or original Arabic looking keyboard for Nexus S ?

I have a tmobile g1. Got it as a gift long time ago from my uncle who is in China. It has a ROM installed, by dev's HiAPK.com.
There is a english language in it, but the market comes in chinese, so do other things like gmail and gtalk. It also lags and sometimes doesnt even work properly anymore. I want to upgrade it to 1.6 platform. Does anyone know how to do it? I want to do it to the US or UK android ROMs, not the chinese ones... I tried rooting the OTA 1.6 rom, but it wouldnt work. It says bad rom, or says verification/no signature. Can anyone help me? Would really appreciate it.

I got some more or less annoying problems.
First I'm trying to use a S5690 in japan on a Softbank Prepaid, as a Dumbphone so to say just for the offline navi tools... so after 2 tays of messing with the inards of my os and the problem of not having a cmr because there is none available, i have to give up ... more or less... because SMS / MMS is still not working ...and i tryied nearly any modded Mms.apk starting from 2.1 till 4.0 and it still doesnt work...
so to my questions... what was the comandline for adb to open the popup console of the !stock! Mms.atk to change the User Agent?
Has somebody secretly been building a CMR for the XCover?
That's it for now...maybe i ll get back to you later after a beer or two because right now I'm just smashed ...after only 3 hours of sleep because i was always thinking a ... just this one more try maybe then i works... sadly it didnt ...

I flashed a lot of phones on Android (htc magic, htc one X, S3, xperia x10 ....) but I really dont know how to remove the iOs style, I dont want it at all, I need some help, anyone know if there is a stock rom or anything for this kind of stuff? I can't just install another launcher I have to remove all of this s*it,

Have some trouble to install Google play an error with com.android.vending, I think I have to put it with Titanium Backup but can't do anything, even root the phone because of the USB which is not detected :/ ...

Anyways, I have a very outdated version of Android; can't seem to login to the old Android Market to update apps. I'm looking for a decent rom that do at least what's app and wechat. I already rooted the phone but do I need to install recovery just in case?
Can anyone recommend me a good rom? Thanks.

All I want is for whatsapp to work but then I have to upgrade the firmware but the phone is so old there are no updates annymore.

They need to provide us with the right programs and working links and maybe even develop a custom firmware for the phone and make it easy to make this phone working properly.
