I have a tmobile g1. Got it as a gift long time ago from my uncle who is in China. It has a ROM installed, by dev's HiAPK.com.
There is a english language in it, but the market comes in chinese, so do other things like gmail and gtalk. It also lags and sometimes doesnt even work properly anymore. I want to upgrade it to 1.6 platform. Does anyone know how to do it? I want to do it to the US or UK android ROMs, not the chinese ones... I tried rooting the OTA 1.6 rom, but it wouldnt work. It says bad rom, or says verification/no signature. Can anyone help me? Would really appreciate it.

I have since a few days android 2.2 on my HTC HD2. Since yesterday works my camecorder not right. When I want to make a video is evereything normal. BUT when I want to stop it, everything disappears. I can't do anything only going back to home with the home button. And when I go back to my camcorder there is only a black screen. I can't make videos or photo's than.
I've searching long and I think I must update my ROM..is that correct??? But I don't know where I can find it...
How can I fixe this?? please help..

it is probably due to camcorder not working in most android roms (apart from much earlier ones).
Not much you can do about it, but check out the rom thread.

In the HD2 forum under Android you can find much rom's. Take a look at the nand rom from Dorimanx or the Typhoon rom from tytween. There are also instructions how to install that rom.

All right thanks both . but... I have android 2.2, doesn't matter if I take the one of typhoon or Dorimanx?? because it says that's android version 2.3.3. and android version 2.3.5
No that doesn't matter. You can install any android nand rom that is made for the hd2 on your HTC HD2.
But when you install another rom, make a back-up from your data. Because you're gonna lose it if you switch to a different rom.
I have the rom from Dorimanx on my phone and that works great.
But you can decide for yourself which rom you want.

I have about one year old chinese tablet(Andora A713). Manufactor of this brand is gone and i cant get any help from them. This is quite fun tablet only problem with this is its stock rom, its kind of rawdroid with some fast configs. Everything work fine but not good, old lasy drivers/modules etc. Also framework and systemUI needs some updates. I have finded some roms wich boots in this tab but touchscreen and other modules not work in those. Im not noob with droid or computing, i dont just have skill of romming or linux but i want to learn! Pleace someone come and help me to get nice rom in my "chiPAD"

Hi guys, I've a problem with my HTC One S.
Until few days ago I had the rom MIUI with Android ICS installed on my phone.
I've decided some days ago to change this rom because a lot of applications that I wished to install were not supported by ICS.
So, after a lot of problems (S-Off, Hboot too old for any rom, etc) I've finally changed the rom.
Now, the problem is that, foreach rom with an Android version higher than ICS (I tried with KitKat and Lollipop), the WiFi doesn't turn on and when I look at the setting page, the MAC-Address appear to be Undefined.
I've tried to install again some rom with ICS (MIUI and Cynogen), and everything worked well.
Can someone help me please?
P.S I'm not native English and I'm studying it, so, if I made mistakes about grammar or other, don't worry to tell me about that

I just got a side kick 4g. I always wanted this phone since my early teens but I got it ! Anyways, I have a very outdated version of Android; can't seem to login to the old Android Market to update apps. I'm looking for a decent rom that do at least what's app and wechat. I already rooted the phone but do I need to install recovery just in case?
Can anyone recommend me a good rom? Thanks.

All I want is for whatsapp to work but then I have to upgrade the firmware but the phone is so old there are no updates annymore.
I also need to upgrade the android version in order for whatsapp to work

I dont even know how to flash a custom rom , they really need to help us out.
Flash the phone for what ?
They need to provide us with the right programs and working links and maybe even develop a custom firmware for the phone and make it easy to make this phone working properly.
