[Q] ROM Help? - Samsung Galaxy Fit GT 5670

Model : Samsung Galaxy Fit S5670
Android Version : 2.3.4
Baseband Version : S5670XXKPG
Kernel Version : [email protected]#1
I'm rooted and i had updated my android version a few months back. Since then, i am unable to connect my phone to PC in USB Storage mode. When i click on the notification, nothing happens.... please help.
Also, i want to install cyanogenmod on my device. I found this ROM.
I wanted to know whether i can flash it directly or do i need to do some modifications. Also please tell me whether this process is reversible.

I dunno if this will help or not coz i m a newbie myself try going to settings>applications>development>and check "usb debugging" and "allow mock locations" hope this helps

doesnt help. i can only connect in mass storage mode when i open Samsung Kies.
Please give solutions to question # 2...

Yes this process is absolutely Reversable....
all u need to do is Download the file 1a. Extract it somewhere on up pc. 2.Copy CyanogenMod-7 2(rc3).zip to ur sdcard. 2a. Reboot into Download mode(home volume down & power button) n flash CLOCKWORKMOD recovery by Tj style (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1339640) !! after ur done with this go to recovery mode again n flash that ROm from your sd card !! (dont forget to wipe data n cache before flashing) !!
if want to go back to stock GB.... U have to first flash KPI(which formats and flashes the device which is needed) then can flash any rom you want..... Happy FLASHING.....!!

do what Promit said and maybe if u flash a different rom your problem #1 maybe solved...

you "wanted to flash and now it's blank". that means it's blank before you tried anything which means you need to take it to the service center.
on the other hand, if you mean you tried and now it's blank, why not give us more details? what fw did you try flashing, did you lose power during flashing, etc?

if you are using ODIN try this first..:
open odin on PC
>remove battery on phone
>connect usb to PC to Phone without the battery
>then put battery back
>when the light turns on immedietly press the 3button DOWNLOAD COMBO
(VOLUME DOWN+HOMEKEY+POWER BUTTON)
>If you done it right you would end up on DOWNLOAD MODE
>then learn whats next to do in flashing FIRMWARE...
*IF THE PHONE IS STILL TURNING THE POWER ON IT DOESNT MEAN ITS TOTALLY BRICK...JUST TRY THE METHOD AND MAYBE YOU WILL BE HAPPY AGAIN*
Man if dont work you said blaqkarma try this:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1457458(is for s2 but works for i9003)

so you've tested it yourself and confirmed the s2 kernel, recovery files, and bootloader in the thread works on our sL? if not, don't make things worse than they already are

Man I said to use method not to use S2 kernel or bootloaader from S2 use the kernel from i9003;sorry for my bad english
Its common sense to use kernel and bootloader from i9003
Listen i have a solution for you
1. Remove battery sim card and sd card.
2. Download xxkpq rom from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1004647
3. Press vol. down + Home + power and while doing this insert your battery (you may need to people)
4. If the screen lights up u may see the download mode with android shovelling and below downloading do not turn off the target.
5. Select xxkpq rom as the pda source in odin
6. Connect your phone to your computer and see whether the ID COM section turns yellow. If it doesnt you do not have the drivers. Just install kies for the drivers
7. Hit start as soon as the id com section turns yellow
Or
Repeat the steps till step 2
Then while doing the download mode combination plug your usb in and see whether you get a phone pc screen if you do then the id com section will turn yellow and click start.
If none of them work take it to the service center but dont tell them u were up to flashing!
Hope it helps
add me on messenger sp8ky1 , maybe i could explain(in romanian)

Soft bricked I9003
Hi,
I have cynogenmod 10 on my galaxy I9003. Then i decided to go back to original firmware. Hence I flashed my phone with DDLF2_CFROOT-05-07-2012.tar .
After this i cleared cache. Now my phone is stuck in bootloop.
After that through reset button on back side of the phone, somehow i have managed to enter in Download mode and tried to change CFROOT but it is showing failed error.
tried re partition through latona_20110114.pit but now nothing is happening.
Now when i m trying to load firmware getting only <OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 0)
error.
Kindly help me !!!!

Do I need to update phone bootloader and clear EFS. IF yes how ??
Kindly suggest.
Hey mate, don't select 'update bootloader' and 'clear phone efs ' option in odin while flashing. 'Clear phone efs' will delete your phone's imei IMO.
Do clean flash. Flash XXKPE with re-partitioning and than any stock rom of your choice.
Use this guide to flash XXKPE firmware. Never flash ddlf2 rom directly coming from CM10 or any other based on CM10 rom having MTD partiotning system.

Just do it the same as i9082 process. U cant brick it if u follow the steps. Install cwm tru odin. Dun let it boot up once "pass" appeared in odin. Pull battery out once "pass" is lighted up. Put back in the battery. Press power + home + vol up. Release power only when u see the gt i9082l logo. U will enter cwm. Install fixrecovery.zip then install superuser v 1.25.zip then reboot and yur good to go. Make sure the zip files are in yur external sd card before u flash cwm tru odin.

When I got into ur same prob. I first flashed this FROYO 2.2.1 DDKB1, rebooted my phone, went to download mode again by pressing Home+Vol.Down+Power. Then flashed this Gingerbread 2.3.6 DDKT3 via Odin. Then I wiped data/cache via stock recovery(Home+Power) & my phone successfully booted with Gingerbread 2.3.6.
Btw I installed this SAMSUNG mobile drivers.
If still facing issues, then try a different computer.
Edit: Also uninstall kies, antivirus, firewall(recommended) & make sure that USB debugging is enabled(Hope u already have enabled)
Hope this helps...!!!

Odin already detect my mobile but stuck on setupconnection
i tried aslo Froyo but still stuck too..
But One Question ... Galaxy Mini S5570 screen is appearing in booting before samsung boot animation !!!!
it can means that my friends installed Galaxy mini Firmware to Me and bricked bootloader! .. is that possible ?
It might be... So, the Froyo file I mentioned does have bootloader in it... Place them in given order:-
OPS:-BENI.........
BOOT: APBOOT.........
PHONE: MODEM...........
PDA: CODE..............
CSC: CSC............
Note:Remove sim card & memory card b4 the Odin flash.
However if it still gives GALAXY MINI boot screen after successful flash of given froyo file, then u might b left with no choice...but there will still b some ways left then which I want you to give them a try b4 handing it to SSC(last choice)

while flashing in odin I get no erros the device flashes successfully but when the device starts after flashing the screen starts blinking neither it would go into recovery nor normally boot.....no blinking of screen in downloading mode or arm9 mode
Flash froyo first(since it is a full 4pkg firmware & contains bootloader as well). Then try flashing gingerbread & see if it succeeds. I can provide u my firmware files(ddkb1 & ddkt3) which 100% work everytime I flash 'em.
If still the problem persists then there are some other issues.

I have tried flashing froyo...i dont have the one package but different files.still no luck .even tried to install the clockwork mode recovery but it isnt even entering into recovery.if u can give me the download links to your file I can try flashing them.
Install this Samsung USB Driver on pc.
Note:-
*Use Odin v4.42
*Rename ops file exactly as "BENI_v1.0.ops"(without quotes)...(might b case sensitive, so be careful)
Goto download mode by keep pressing & holding Volume Down+Home+Power Buttons together until the phone turn on in "Downloading" mode.
First, flash Galaxy Fit Froyo 2.2.1(ddkb1)
Procedure:
OPS: BENI_v1.0.ops
BOOT: APBOOT......
PHONE: MODEM.....
PDA: CODE......
CSC: CSC......
Click "Start".
& then flash Galaxy Fit Gingerbread 2.3.6(ddkt3)
Procedure:
OPS: BENI_v1.0.ops
Tick one package in Odin & place that ".tar.md5" file under One Package field.
Click "Start".
Additional advice: Try another pc/laptop coz in most cases USB is the major issue
*This will work for sure*
However, if unfortunately none of these work for u, then give it to service center...only way left...
ok I will give it a try once again .....and do u think that there may be some other issues lyk some hardware part faliure....
If the Download Mode is stable, there's no failure on phone's side. Our Fit's hardware never failed for such circumstances.Hence, pc is the main issue.
I think that all kinds of wrongs are easily recovered if Download Mode still exists on the phone(some ppl have their phone blinking in Download Mode...which is bad).
& 1 more thing... those care takers will definitely tell u that u need to replace ur motherboard(even if its alright) which isn't a good deal IMO.
hey I tried it your way but the same problem.....i think I have to visit the customer care and see if they can hook up to something...and I thing it would be wise going for a new cell if they say to change the motherboard....and thanks for your help bro.....

Please Help - soft bricked S7 on 3 (UK) SM-G930F

Hi guys,
I have managed to soft brick my S7 flat after trying to root it. using odin. I have also done a factory reset - so no more debugging over the PC, I have to now try recovery on SD card.
The stock rom I have is G930FXXU1DQB7
I can't seem to find a stock rom to put onto the SD card and reinstall the rom ... I think samobile and another site seem to be the only ones that has the stock ROM and there d/l are terrible and often get a corrupted file ( I have tried x4 times now )
If some one could tell me how to either - Put a custom ROM on a stock S7 ( No TWERP on the phone yet ) .. or how to recover my S7 back to manufacturers ... Id buy you a virtual beer ! Had my phone for about 2 weeks and already I cant use it !!
The following thread has the stock firmware uploaded to Mega, so should be easier and more reliable to download:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/how-to/official-stock-firmware-update-odin-t3369431
Don't forget to thank the author of the thread if you find it helpful.
thx, ill give it a go
thx, ill give it a go
I got 9 MB a sec. d/l ... thats a lot better !! Ill try this out and see if I can get it back. - and I will thx the user for all the hard work etc. they have put in to their project
no, didn't work .. it sayes the footer is wrong ../??
I don't know what that means ... anyone ..?

You need ODIN 3.12.3 from here
https://mega.nz/#!uBwC3KqR!17OPP5A1g9d7-GxAqCbjXFpmYfO7CgAHNcaZxqEkOao
You need the latest G930F ROM from either here
http://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?q=G930F
Or from samfirm tool here
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/general/tool-samfirm-samsung-firmware-t2988647
Extract the ROM, add AP, CP, CSC and BL to the 4 sections in ODIN
Put the phone into download mode (Volume Down & Home & Power)
Connect phone to PC USB, make sure the port is connected on ODIN
Press Start on ODIN
Wait for it to reboot back into working Android
thx for your comments, but I cant use odin as I have hard reset the phone ! - so no ADB via usb
I will try the links though ..
The phone does go into d/l mode ... but as I have hard reset to factory I need to go back into the phone and go into dev. options and enable debugging. .. trouble is The phone just boots to the logo and then loops.

What has ADB got to do with ODIN?
You just need download mode, nothing more
Every step I wrote is all you need to follow
hi guys,
Ive managed to fix it ! - I downloaded a good stock rom and uploaded like you guys said ... with Odin ... I had to mess abouit with Odin versions before I got one that worked.
Many thanks guys for all your help. I really had a panic on then for a bit !
