well im viewing the 70's show on my eee pad with the dock connected im losing around 5-6 precent battery every episode this is seems just not right i using blades panda test kernel 1.2 ghz and revolver rom is there any other kerel or rom that will give me better battery or maybe the dock battery is just weak
Same thing for me, i don't know what are differences between the kernels and i have some problems with my battery life :/
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk
well i guess it common and its not drain
i thing the diference between kernels is not big
5 or 6% per episode - how longs an episode? half an hour?
so you could almost watch 10 hours of episodes just from the tablets battery then another 10 hours from the keyboard docks battery? and your overclocking?.........the battery life in use is estimated at 8 hours on the tablet and 8 on the dock - seems fair enough to me or have i worked that out wrong?
epidose is 20 minutes
yes i am around 1.2 GHZ
even when i tried underclocking it was the same
well iguess you worked it out pretty good
thats around 7 hours only on dock battery
Set brightness to low, use headphones.
I'm losing 6-7% with headphones and at 45% brightness watching one House, M.D. episode (40 min) - ah and OC 1.472 Ghz with 100mV average UV.

Im running drods 1.5ghz kernel set at 1.4ghz and bamf 1.3 with extended battery. at idle the phone runs around 87. But when performing simple tasks like streaming music through bt or using kik it quickly gets up too around 108. Is this normal should i be worried? My incredible oced too 1.2 would never breach 100 even if i was throwing everything at it.
sent from somewhere
108 is not a bad temperature don't sweat it. I usually set my safety profile for 120.0
I has an overcloked d1 running 1.25ghz constantly running between 105-115. Zero problems and my friend is using it a year and a half later as his phone.
I would recommend you use a setcpu profile to bring the overclock down while charging too. Phone gets hot while charging.

I use a wall charger for my battery's. ive also noticed it only really gets this hot with the radio on with kik running in the background or any small task really. On wifi it cools right on down. weird. Thanks for your input
I don't really pay to much attention to the battery temperature (maybe I should?) But I have seen it range from 84F - 102F when glancing at the battery stats.
I'll easily get over 100. But it's also 90 outside anyways. It does seem to get hotter than other phones, I don't know why. Using current widget I can see that it pulls a lot of mA.
I don't run much under 85 all the time.
Ya i live in florida its starting to get up there. Guess ill live with.

I'm overclocked to 1408. My GPS is on along with wifi. Just finished Playing a game (Geared) and my temp is 96 degrees.

105* under heavy usage
87-95 depending on how heavy usage is. Never above 100 for me. (Extended Battery btw)
Running the TB @ 1.2ghz and I get a usual of 25-35c.
my phone idle while charging with wifi on is 35 celcius.........i cnt find Fahrenheit on my phone anywhere -__-
What have we accomplished so far? List your personal running kernel/ROM combos that you are using for the best (and tested) battery life. Let others benefit from your experiences! Thanks!

Fyretech rom with imoseyon kernel 1.92 dialed down to 1.792, setcpu, atk. Today is the first day running this combo phone has been on since 7am, moderate use (phone calls, texts, games, internet and youtube,) its 10pm now and i have 39% left on battery. I would have had to charge my phone at least once today when it was new out of the box.
EDIT: using 3g, 4g not available yet in central Jersey.
I'm using the bamf v4.3a kernel with the stock rom. i'm also using setcpu set for the 'ondemand' governor and a profile that underclocks the cpu to 245/245mhz when the screen is off.
BAMF 1.4 sense remix, with adrenaline (spelling? 4.4.2 kernel, dark horse theme, auto rotate Rosie (Saweeeet!) Optimal setcpu settings. Ie: charging profile (245 mhz min- 1.0ghz max/smartass) with this setting I normally get almost 1% battery charge increase a minute. screen off profile (700's mghz-1ghz/on demand. Screen on profile (1.1ghz-1.3ish ghz/smartass. etc... I know some stuff I mentioned doesn't really pertain to battery life, but this set up is just sick! Also, I read somewhere that its a good idea to let ur battery die completely, then turn phone on without charging (you may have to just a bit to get it back on) And let die again. This supposedly tells the phone where the dead zone is on the battery accurately, so it can now get a full clean battery charge. Myth? Idk, but damnit my battery is sick now! Hope this helps.

Personally, I've been testing Imoseyon [ROM] Tesla Coil Version 1.5, with Imoseyon [Kernel] leanKernel: minimal kernel "battsaver" .92 version. I am running it on "On Damand" with charging and screen off profiles, mobile data NOT on auto sync, Tasker for wireless ON at Home and audio OFF at nite.
Really, this seemed to have doubled my battery life. I was having to charge before the end of the work day with moderate use and now have been able to use well into the night.
Hope to see even more Rom/kernel concoctions out there as I love to try any new suggestions.
With adrenalines (I still don't memorize the spelling! Lol) 4.4.2 kernel it deff charges waaay faster as stated. Setcpu charging profile to lowest mghz min to around 1ghz max on smartass. Not demand, n it will bounce around to proper mghz levels as needed to speed up charging process. Its sweet n like you, I'm open for more suggestions

Adryn's debloat ROM and his kernel, with extremely light usage I pulled 38 hours (my previous record was 36). I have been using my phone for the bare minimum, so this is why I got so high. No, this is not real world usage and yes, I hated it, but it works. My normal battery life is somewhere closer to ~18 hours, except on Tuesday's and Thursday's, when I have lecture classes, I usually pull 9-10 hours, because I play games and browse the internet for 2 and a half hours.
Using imoseyon kernel 1.4 extreme(InteractiveX governor) with Tesla Coil 1.5. I have an extended battery, and with moderate use my phone can easily make it through one day into the next before needing to be charged.
Screen off and plugged in.. ;-)
I think it would be best to post in your stats whether or not you have 4g enabled as there are large populations of each way and it makes a significant difference.

True...4g always enabled for me other then when I get no 4g signal and then 3g may go into effect. If no signal at all, then wireless when I am indoors.
I refuse to turn off 4g as that is why I got the phone and my coverage is pretty good for 4g...so, better battery life is a must for me
leankernel v .6 @ 1.41 on demand with das bamf 1.4 remix and i disable data when not using it and right now im at 56% battery at 32 hours with moderate use
I'm using imoseyons extreme kernel on interactivex governer on stock. I'm getting 14hrs %40 battery with moderate usage. I'm mostly on wifi all day with a little of 3g use.

Huge *NOTE!*
Go to settings, menu, wireless networks, mobile networks and uncheck the third box. No need to have mobile data always on for most peeps . You'll still have 4G n everything, but gain a good 1-2 maybe more hrs (depending on use, kernels, governor settings, and I/O scheduling. I personally am running BAMF 1.6.2 with adryns 4.4.7 kernel, no set CPU, using tool box for that at 245mhz min - 1.02max with ondemand governor and most importantly SIO Scheduler. Try these n you will have amazing performance and better battery life. Let me know you opinions

I've heard of battery calibration, how do you do it? also Im using faux's kernel with it coming with uv, but perhaps should I go lower than that until I find a voltage that keeps my phone going, if I use lower the voltage will it affect my performance at all? perhaps any suggestions on what i should make the voltage. btw im using cm7 nightly/faux's kernel.
I would use the ds faux kernel and undervolt the bottom numbers (anything below 900) to 750. Test what works and is stable. Also set a screen off profile that makes pit at 300 something.
Fairly heavy use and I got 13 hours today.
And battery calibration is a myth.

I use Insert Coin 5.1.1, "Rom Cleaned" with LBE security. With heavy usage (2h music, 1h calls, 1h internet + screen) I can get minimum 14 hours. Same battery on GB stock rom 4h.
When I have fully charged battery on Friday afternoon, during the weekend (only have few phone calls, a little bit wifi) I plug it in at work on Monday with 15-20% left.
I have stock battery.

i have IC 5.1.4 and the battery life his horrible when im using my phone, but during school i underclock to 1.02ghz max turn power saver on and data off and itll last... also have stock battery with 1.5ghz kernel
With ARHD 6.5.1, Sebastian's kernel and 1900 mA anker battery I can do 3 days of light usage, 2 of mid ones and of course 1 of heavy.
ARHD works for about 1.5 days moderate use and 3.5 days on minimal use.
i've never liked a custom kernel, it always eats up my battery faster than stock (based from my experience) even undervolting doesn't make it last longer.

ARHD 6.5.1 battery life is very good.
I am now outlasting my partners iPhone 3GS with heavier use!
I can go a full day and still have 40-50% remaining.
Also there is no need to overclock. I use no frills cpu set to 192 min and 972 max. Very smooth and fast.

I don't understand how you guys are getting such excellent battery life on a Sense rom because I only get those numbers when I'm on Senseless. I guess I just have to try harder
Not sure.
All I can suggest is that you:
Make sure you are on correct radio/RIL
Super wipe
Reflash ROM
Use no-frills cpu and underclock to 972 max 192 min
Disable always on mobile data
Enjoy your phone
I have brightness set to auto. I have unlimited data so rarely use wifi.
Still on 100% from unplugging at 6:30 this morning.

I have very limited data allowance [it's 50MB PAYG for what it's worth, like 1.50 in GBP] and I don't go out much so I just use WiFi at school and home. Radio is on 3.32 although I'm not sure about my RIL. And also I always enjoy my phone. Always

There you have it!
You have your CPU set to a minimum of 648 mhz so it will never go any slower than 648 mhz.
I have mine set to the lowest (192 mhz) so that when it's not needed the CPU can run as low as 192 mhz.

Well I already have a profile for screen off. 192-486MHz. Should I still lower it?
I hadn't seen a ROM on my phone that lasts more than 12 hours for moderate to heavy use. I wonder how everyone else is getting 1-2 days of battery life (happy for them, sad for me).

How high is your screen brightness and how intensive is the apps your using? also what are your governor and I/O scheduler set to? mine rarely gets more then lukewarm and I've got the 7" and overclocked.
I'm running mine at stock speeds, in an Otterbox case. I have run it for hours on end and haven't noticed the slightest bit of heat buildup. And that's inside a pretty well sealed case with very little ventilation / air circulation. Personally, I'd go back to stock speeds if it's getting this hot. IMO, there isn't much benefit from only a 200Mhz increase. To me, the cons outweigh the pros and isn't worth the risk of damage.

Battery Temp. Range Between...
Hello,
I just got myself a Tab 2 7.0 about 10 days ago. After using it for a while i found that it's back gets heat while putting on charge.
Even though it holds a battery like around 9.5 hours of On Screen time and 2 Days of stand by with WIFI and Carrier signal ON. Also i've notice that putting tab under power saving mode and under charge catches heat faster then regular charging mode.
So my question is, Battery performs well? Or it's faulty? What normal range of temp. for Tab 2 P3100 while on charge. Let me know if anyone has anything to advise with.
Tab 2 7.0 still under warranty around half a year. Also forgot to mention, Tab is Running Stock 4.1.2 JB
Thanks.
