On such a large screen, it is difficult to reach for the notification bar at top. Task switchers like wave launcher and swipepad can be used to set a button in them to call notification bar, but I'm unable to find such an app. (I got home and lock set this way though).
Anyone knows an app that toggles the notification?
I don't know of such an app, but in GO Launcher EX and some other launchers you can set it up so the notification bar drops down when you swipe down anywhere on a home screen. I've been using this on all my Androids and I love it because like you say, it's hard to reach the bar sometimes. If I try a new launcher and it doesn't support this I uninstall it immediately.

I know launchers can do it, but that is when you are at home screen.
However, with swipepad/wave launcher, a shortcut can be assigned to app for notification toggle. I have done that for home and lock buttons, refer to screenshot.

Thanks. Swipepad is now complete, with lock, home, notification and app drawer.
I'm stretching it but is there any way to clear notifications from anywhere other than the notification bar?
One more app: status bar expander
(better icon that hello status bar)

hi...
in the old today screen of wm , i could see if i have any active tasks, which is very important to me, i even tought about scrubbing touchflow completly, but then i have a problem with the watch (in the today screen part of the hour is covered by the watch icon)..
so is there any way to customize touchflo's today the same way you customize wm today's (add or remove items from it )
I'm using AE Button Plus to have the active tasks at my fingertips
I would love this too. Whether it be a new tab with numeric indicator like SMS/email, or just putting it under the calendar entries.
I love TF3d but I need tasks.
thanks, but i allready assigned the button to tasks
i need to actually look if it's there.
as a replacement i'd like to see any icon for tasks in the taskbar.
AE Button Plus does that by adding icons to the menu bar.
oh, you mean in the buttom?
will it show me a number of tasks, or just an icon i can click on?

I'm using AE Button Plus also. Menu bar being the bar at the bottom?
I used it to remove the stupid ATT screen, but I didn't see that you can add new ones ; (or can you?)
Something like this would be grand. I hate messy taskbar icons.
I don't know how TF3D is customized. Does it use XML/

Are there any apps that allow power control toggles to be placed on the notification bar (when dragged down), such as the one built in on cyanogenmod?
thanks
Maybe you are looking for an app called "quick settings" ??

Its not quite the same, looking for something like this:

"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

}
The app Quickdesk is the best solution.
SmartBar
There's a cool app called SmartBar which allows you to place virtually anything you want in the notification drop down bar, including "Quick Settings" which will allow you to toggle many different things on/off.
power control plus
power control plus is specifically for that. it costs 2 bucks.
Widgetsoid. Free in the Market.
This is cyanogen mode, just install some theme with cm settings

Those themes are 2.2 only.

grrr.... can't decide between Widgetsoid or Quickdesk.
Widgetsoid is an notification widget and quickdesk is an additional home screen when you double tap the home button for widgets and apps.

As you can see in the screenshot, after modifying the DPI to something more realistic and not comedic, the UI adjusted perfect except it didn't center the all apps icon above the home button. I'm wondering how this could be fixed through maybe a mod or something.
I do not want a new launcher that doesn't have Google Search built in. Its not the same stock experience. Any idea what I should do?

Depends what you are trying to do. Are you trying to get more docked icons at the bottom, or the main grid on the launcher. Basically, what I did is I changed my DPI to 439 (wanted 445, but notifications get cut off in the pulldown bar). This is ideal for me and gives me an app drawer grid of 5x6. However, the launcher grid stayed the same, so I used the Launcher Tweaks settings in Gravity Box to customize the launcher grid to 5x5. Now, I still only have 4 apps in the dock tray on the bottom (plus the app drawer icon in the middle), but I do have a 5x5 grid on the homescreen. It looks like it came from the factory this way.
So I had Android N-Ify installed on stock 6.0.1 osprey and decided I wanted to uninstall it. After uninstalling I decided to restart the device so that everything the module affected is back to stock. However, the status bar icons were affected by that and now they look like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Anyone who has had this issue or knows how to bring it back to normal?
Thanks in advance!
Are you talking about the layout of the icons, or the icons themselves? The icons look the same as on my device, for the placement activate the System UI Tuner (long-press the cog for about 5 seconds until a toast pops up, the cog icon will have a little wrench next to it from now on), go to Settings - System UI Tuner, then Quick Settings, tap the 3 dot menu in the upper-right and select Reset, should be good to go.

thank you so much! didn't even know SystemUI tuner existed in the first place!
My tablet is Samsung Tab S7 FE with Android 12 and One UI version 4.1.1. After last update the desktop changed.
Before the icons at the bottom: recent apps, home and back, were in the middle of screen. Now they are on the right side of the bottom line, which is very annoying: you very often accidiently touch those icons.
I tried to move the position of those icons by pressing long - no success.
I don't want to use Nova Laucher or similar apps, so any possibilities to move those icons back to center of bottom line?

you need to disable the task bar from settings

You can change the position. You have a choice of left, center, or right.
Thank you, now it works!
