[Q] Grass Live Wallpaper for ICS / 4.0.3? - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi-
Does anyone have an apk for the grass live wallpaper that came with the gingerbread release...that'll work with ICS? It's no longer a part of the stock ICS package.
Thanks,
btappan

Hi,
just got my ICS Update OTA and realised that my beloved grass live wallpaper is missing!! I desperately tried to get it back - but failed. (The Beautiful widgets version is no adequate replacement).
I would really really appreciate it, if anybody could give me a hint where to get my grass back...
cheers,
pw

Anyone knows where to get the Gingerbread Grass Live Wallpaper for ICS ?

+1...

I was bored so I looked for a solution to your request.
I extracted "livewalpaper.apk" ( grass lwp is inside this file with other lwp theme ) from a gingerbread rom and I replaced it in "system /app" and set the right permissions, but unfortunately does not work.
I attach the file, maybe someone else can help you.

Live Weather Wallpaper

So I used to own a MyTouch 4G with the Virtuous Unity 1.29 ROM and it was awesome, and I can't wait for this phone to get S-OFF so I can play around with it and get back some of the options I loved like the customizable lockscreen.
Anyway, I noticed that the live weather wallpaper option that comes stock on the phone runs through one animation and then freezes. It seems like something's wrong, I thought it would just keep animating clouds or sun or rain or whatever it is but it goes through one cycle then stops. That's the same way it was on previous ROMs running Sense 3.0 and everyone seemed to think something was wrong with them and there was no solution. Apparently that's just how the HTC Live Weather Wallpaper works...
I see what you mean i just tried it on my phone. It stopped on the 1st animation cycle that really weird.
Try Go Weather, it has a free live weather wallpaper.
nno ale pogoda to jest dobra
No but the weather is good? That's what you said...
If you're referring to the weather app then I agree with you. That being said, the GO WEATHER and beautiful live weather wallpapers both leave something to be desired either in terms of localization options or update consistency...
Too bad the Sense one isn't up to par as to what it should be...
I wonder if something was just left out of the build.
Go weather is definitely the best option. Haven't had any issues with it updating itself except sometimes it does stay light on my screen when its dark outside lol.

[Q] Help with wallpaper

Hey there,
maybe it would sound a little bit stupid, but i have wandering around and cant find anything about it. the thing is: I have an HTC Inspire, and it used to come with android Fro Yo, so when i selected a wallpaper it was the kind one that moves when you swipe from window to window and it was nice... then i changed my rom for a RCMIX with android gingerbread and then the options with wallpaper changed and it only allows you to put a steady wallpaper in portrait mode. but my brother bought a new samsung galaxy with gingerbread too, and when he wants to change his wallpaper, it asks him wheter he wants it to be landscape or portrait mode... i really want thins function on my cellphone... is there any rom with an android version that allows you to do that???? please helppppp!!!!!

Yes.

Sense 2.1, what your phone came with, had scrolling wallpaper in froyo and gingerbread. The Sense 3.0 roms I used (gb), did not. In aosp/aokp that feature will depend on your launcher.

well... it just seems that all samsung devices have both options! it just amazes me that you canĀ“t do it in this roms!!! it should be an option!
It doesn't always work on those Samsung. I know the Note was having serious issues with scrolling wallpaper. Any Android phone can give you this option. If you insist on running Sense, you will be limited to the features of whichever version you use.

[Q] AOKP Rom Help!!!!

Hello,
I am a total noob to the android/root community. I have an AT&T GS3 (SGH-I747) and I just rooted it. I've been using the Jedi Invasion ROM installed on my phone and love it!!! Then recently I changed to the AOKP 4.1.2 ROM and was instantly impressed. I love it! The only issue I am having is with the wallpaper. I do not like the wide screen scroll left/right wallpaper. I would much rather a stationary wallpaper that does not move. I have searched high and low between forums to see if there was a way to change the wallpaper to a stationary one. I know there are apps like Wallpaper Wizardrii that can perform these actions, but I wanted to know if there was a way to do that without having to use an app. The way i see it the less apps I have to back up with Titan backup the better while I switch between ROMS like the noob I am . Any help would be greatly appreciated.

[Q] No Live Wallpapers - Galaxy Note 3

Hi,
I've been reading stuff here in this forums for quite some time now but I only became a member just now. I have a rooted note 3 and I deleted some of the systemapps including bubbles and phase beam. I downloaded Galaxy Live Wallpaper App just now and this is the only time I realize that Live Wallpaper is no longer working on my phone. I'm not sure if it's because I deleted the bubbles and phase beam file. Or if maybe I deleted something else. I also remember deleting a system app named live wall paper picker, something like that. I was wondering if you guys can help me solve this. =) Is there a website I can download these files again? just to get live wallpapers up and running again?
Thank you,

[Request] Rotating Lock Screen

I remember someone posting a rotating lock screen here last year, with a minor bug that had the lock screen's landscape wallpaper stuck to whatever was in the apk. (If I remember correctly, the landscape wallpaper was a cornfield)
I think it was sir OptimusRS that made one.
I'm looking for it again so that it could match with the rotating homescreen by member kaanmete. That, and, I may have found a workaround for the landscape wallpaper.
Although, if anyone has the time, can someone please port the Jelly Bean lock screen instead? Like what kaanmete did with the home screen, weather widget, etc.

Heya,
the new nameless KitKat ROM (4.4.4) for our p920 has a "rotating" lockscreen. It is not supposed to be like that Id say, but it is "working". :highfive:
Feel free to have a look.

If it is running the LG UI 4, then it is supposed to be like that. Much like how other versions of the UI 3 are able to rotate the home screen (currently using a version by member @Impact7).
As excited as I am about this new rom, unless it's fully working, I'll stick to the official firmware and figure out how to do more things with just ICS (for now).
