Is it Possible to Import Android to SE P1i ?? - General Topics

hi devs
i am a owner of Sonyericsson P1i, i have had this phone for 4 years, and its difficult for me to change it to another phone the only problem which i have had with this phone is the message application which is not "Threaded View".
i know it sounds crazy but is there any chance to install android on it? that would be greate

thaaaaaaaaaaaaanx

I do not think soo.

i guessed so, is it because its not capacitive touch screen? or because of the CPU and RAM ?

What os? And capacitive or resistive it doesn't matter android has some resistive tablets out there.

I'm sure it's possible if you're smart enough and willing to put in the work. But is it worth the effort?

New Android handheld gaming console

The Yinlips YDP-G18 is probably the cheapest Android device you can find with dedicated game controls. It would be cool if someone could cook up an updated English language ROM for it.

Hello,
This is a very promising console, we are currently testing and we must admit that this console is doing pretty well ... It's just a few thoughtful developers to take advantage of the machine maximum.
Go on google and write "CAANOO forumactif" to see the test!
The root is effective and the market is available.
Sorry for my poor english, i'm french
They already rooted it and installed android market on it. IMHO, it should get its own section. Having stripped down froyo or gb roms on it could further improve performance and battery life.
If I had the coin, I'd buy it right away. It's priced at $125 with free shipping. And it's the projection of my most beautiful dreams. Except for the two cameras it has.
It's actually a good product that can have enormous potential. Its biggest flaw is its current autonomy should be 3 hours with Wi-Fi enabled.
The screen is resistive, but responds well. It allows running N64 and PSX games fairly easily and without overclock.
I would love to also see a section for Android handheld and quickly see the arrival of Roms Customs and modified kernels.
For those who want to take the tests, the French member of the community are being Caanoo get them to see what she has in the stomach. I'm happy to keep you informed of the various tests that we will achieve.
I'm also getting one of these, looks promising with some tweaks or a new custom rom will be much better
Only 3 hr battery life? You'd think they'd be able to get more in there. But cool concept nonetheless.
Those who want to see the handheld running you can go see the videos that were made by @ BAFelton at: Sorry but i can't link URL, so Go on Youtube and search BAFelton61
It gives a good idea of what is possible.
Also, @ qbertaddict also examines the machine
Will get back to you almost certainly after the new year. Ordered it yesterday and they announced 15-20 business days until arrival
Yinlips has announced the update 2.3 (gingerbread) on the G18. This is good news to know that there is a follow-up from the manufacturer!
k0en, here too ?
Yeah i'm follow up this awesome device too, and still check what is possible to do with .... Christmas is coming...
Why not a CyanogenMod ? lol

Of course I'm All Around The Web
otherwise, it is the iReadyGo, not the G18 Yinlips. The prototype iReadyGo is not marketed. Here we talk about the G18. Is there any devs interested in working on improving it and make some changes?

From what I can see in the videos, it's Chinese by default but can be changed to English. Since it's an Android device, in theory you would eventually be able to cook custom roms for this thing.
This is a steal, even though the touchscreen is resistive the specs are very good.
My interests are in the details, though: Does the analog stick work as a mouse in android? How is the screen quality with brightness and color? How easily can ROMs be customized?
If these things met with satisfaction I would buy today.

Mix of Windows and Android at one device?

Hi guys! I was just wondering if there are any devices which can run both Windows and Android operating systems, with a keyboard like Asus Transformer?
Welcome, do you know how many times this very question has been asked? Close to one billion times.
To date the HTC HD2 and the HP Touch Pad are the two I can think of off hand. The Touch Pad is a tablet is probably more capable of using a keyboard but both should be able to if you can get the right bluetooth drivers.
One problem. Can't run Windows and Android at the same time. It may be possible to dual boot though.

Thanks, I just want something like dell used to do, where you could switch between OS. Cause I would love to have all of my devices on one Android OS so it would be easy to syncronize stuff, but I don't think that I can survive without Windows OS on my laptop))) and I'm not a big fan of Windows Phones, so that is the problem)))

[Q] Boot PalmOS on an Android device?

Can it be done?
If I had an HTC Desire for example, which has four buttons and a D-pad, is it possible to flash PalmOS 5 on it?
(This might be the wrong forum for a question like this, but I didn't know where else to post it...)
I don't think so. the architecture has to be the same and some guy have to port PalmOS to the device. the right drivers for your device have to be integrated into PalmOS, and i think LG/HTC/Samsung.. did not developed them. Why would you want to do this? Android is way better and you can customize it with Applications, maybe you can mimic look and feel of the PalmOS.

It is probably possible somehow but I use the StyleTap PalmOS emulator to run Palm apps on Android. I loved that emulator on Windows Mobile and it's "almost" as good on Android.

is it even possible? LOL
I believe so. Requires lot of work and skill. Remembered back an 1st gen. IPhone Running Android, so little is impossible.

I think you can put Android on this phone because the Huawei Ascend W1 has a similar specs as the Sony Xperia L.
Chipset Qualcomm MSM8230 Snapdragon
GPU Adreno 305
A-GPS
There will be some risk that not everything will be 100% compatible as there may be some differences in the other hardware components, such as the SDcard reader, wi-fi, USB, etc. So, it will be prudent to do some research before deciding whether or not you want to flash the Android ROM. There is a Sony Xperil L forum here on XDA:

You may want to find out more before you embark on this project.
Good luck in your venture.

Gigabyte GSmart Sierra S1 question

Hi,
I recently bought this phone and its great
(specs, performance, screen...). However,
one thing bothers me a lot. I think its the software problem, not hardware. Screen latency is normal and it isnt a problem but it feels like it keeps the touch respond longer than I kept my finger on it. For example: if I touch screen for 100ms, it will act as I touched for 200ms. Its just an example, not a real time. In other words it lates to follow my finger much more than other phones. Can someone help me, can I just root my phone and edit some system files? Or is it really a hardware problem? Are there any custom roms that would work on this mt6589t device?
Thanks!
Root via framaroot app. I think is hardware problem , my touch is good

I would have thought my touch is good too but then i compared to other phones, it seems slower, but not really less responsive.
If you have time, please download dead trigger(free on play store) and tell me if it "lags" when you aim slower and when you aim quickly its smooth
Thx
