Big Fonts - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Themes and Apps

for those whom the Font size looks small, tried it on my own GNote works great including market etc.No root requiered, just install and set the size you want.
Got it from the Galaxy Tab 10.1 Forum so no credit goes to me.
Edit:This is a system font.

Thanks for the file.
As an alternative for NON-rooted Android users I cam accross a customizable SYSTEM WIDE font sizer called "Big Font" that allows you to adjust all fons from 85% to 130% of normal.
Here: https://market.android.com/details?...wsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5hMHNvZnQuZ3Bob25lLmJmb250Il0.
For rooted users I found "Font Sizer" here: https://market.android.com/details?...=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsIm9yZy5wYnhlcy5mb250c2l6ZSJd

One method is to adjust the DPI setting on the rom. Using buildprop editor, you can adjust the setting "ro.sf.lcd_density". The default for the doubleshot (at least with the CM 9.1 build) is 240. Lowering this number reduces the size that objects display, but I assume that increasing it will increase the size. I do have to warn, I have not tried to do this--I generally use 200 as my dpi setting. Changing this setting may also adjust what market applications are available, just as a warning.

Adjusting the LCD density on my phone made it to where no Market app was available for download/update. The Amazon Appstore and SlideME still worked.
there are also some free and paid apps on the market now that do this, you'll find them if you search 'font size' in Google Play. they won't affect how the market sees your device, but with the bigger font but the space where the words go remaining the same, there will be places here and there where words might get cut off at the top or bottom.
Hello,
what I'm looking for is to change only some font sizes.
I tried some Market apps and modified also the DPI value in build.prop, but these change all font sizes (small, medium and big fonts).
I come from a HTC Desire with Sense 3.5 and now I have a rooted S-off DS4GS with CM 9.1 using this rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1912582
Actually, text labels under homescreen icons, app drawer etc, look perfect, exacty the same as at my previous Desire, but with DS4GS some in-app texts or menu options look quite bigger now.
Are there different font sizes for small, medium and big fonts? If so, is it possible to configure each of them?
Thanks

Emoji Solution - All Emojis for "Emoji Codec Pro"

This solution uses a font I created by doing a LOT of copy and paste from several different fonts. The following apps are required for best results:
- Emoji Codec Pro (pay app - well worth it)
- MultiLing Keyboard (free app - best keyboard I've used - counterpart to Emoji Codec)
- FontChanger - (free app)
and the attached font.
I'm assuming your phone is rooted and you have a file browser that lets you write to your SDCARD.
Instructions:
- Install apps
- NOTE: a folder called ".fontchanger" will be on your SDCARD
- Copy the attached font to ".fontchanger" folder
- Open FontChanger app and select the new font.
- Reboot and done.
- Use the MultiLing Keyboard to enter emojis. They will be black and white in the text box, but they will be shown in color if your Emoji plugin supports them. I use Handcent, and most of the Emojis show in color. The ones not included in Handcent plugin are in black and white.
NOTE: These emojis are black and white, but at least they are now a part of your operating system.
NOTE: I'm an American user so I didn't copy over all the Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean symbols (yet). My work came from some of the fonts on this forum, as well as from this site: http://www.alanwood.net/unicode/fonts-east-asian.html#babelstonehan
NOTE: At first I had problems with some of the emoji solutions on this forum. Aside from some characters not showing up, I also noticed that the font in many of my menus was enlarged and cut off on top. I have fixed this as well as adding every emoji used by Emoji Codec Pro.
FINAL NOTE: I've noticed that some of the emojis in Emoji Codec Pro do not correspond with what you see when you type. I've double checked many of the character mappings so I know they are accurate. Please let me know if you find a character mapping that is definitely not accurate. Please include the character code (decimal or hex). Thanks!
I'd be glad to know how this turns out for you all. Please post your results if you get a chance.

[Q] Adding and changing fonts

I'm rooted and running stock Sammy Rom and want to change the system Font without using an app which hogs memory. I'd like to add new fonts to the existing list under display. I've read this can be done using the system/display folder but I can't find it. What are the technicalities of adding fonts?
It'd also be nice to be able to tweak/scale the font size (in pixels) and with more options than the stand list. Is this also possible?
Edit: Dohhhh, didn't even see the 'Get Fonts Online' option in the settings menu. What a plank......I'd delete the question if I could.
Saying that I'd still like to install Google Now's 'Roboto' italic natively rather than through a font changer. It's not listed in the Play Store as a 'Flipfont'.

[Aroma] [Font] FontFly

We Xperia user often fall behind when it comes to font changing ability. Custom ROMs sometime may have the facility. But to have some font installed we have to flash whole ROM?!?.
I think it's a good idea to have something single yet more powerful with different option in case of the font changing ability. NOW THIS IS NOT beyond our imagination since, I'm presenting you: The FontFly an Aroma based font installer for our beloved Xperia. Hope you like it.
[Warning] :
I've worked hard to make this work. SO,

[Explanation] :
Why change v1.00 to Part 1???
As I'm thinking to do some more update. I came to believe it will increase the file size accordingly. If I add some more maybe it could become something like 100MB then, 150MB, then 200MB!!! . So, I apologize for the incorrect mention of that. From NOW ON I'll CALL THIS as PART BASIS. Like Part I, Part II, Part III etc. THANKS.
Requirements:
[Instruction]:
Copy to SD card or phone memory
Turn off phone & go to recovery
choose install zip file
Choose Downloaded file
Aroma will start
Follow on screen instruction.
[If Device won't bootup]
* Flash other font that work and report here.

You may find something that should be fixed. Please let me know.

I've Made this little utility to meet my own necessity. Cause, My Xperia don't have such option to do that (I think they Should include such option in personalization menu.) But, this little fella could be used to Any Android PHONE. The reason behind this is, every font are stored in same location System/fonts. And this tool does the same thing for any device. It changes or we should say overwrites the fonts so we could use new font applied.
So, don't be shy. Just Try.
Requirements:
Any ROM (Maybe!)

Copy to SD card or phone memory
Turn off phone & go to recovery
choose install zip file

Troubleshoot+Problem ::: Solution
Q: After Flashing Font Phone isn't/won't Bootup!
Q: I'm getting Bootloop! WTF!!!
Ans: Don't Panic. Cause, Everything is OK. Everything is there Your ROM, Your DATA. Just the font not working for ur phone.
First Option: Go to recovery again and Just Flash Any other font (It could be part I or Part II cause there is 50+), see if it works.
Second Option: If first option didn't work> try to install Android 4.4 (Kitkat) / Android 4.3 font From FontFly Part II >if not successful report here And
Third Option & last hope: Google for flashable 4.4 font>Flash it>phone will be ok.
Q: How to revert/Go back to Stock Font?
Ans: install 4.4/ 4.3 Fonts from Part II
Q: How to revert/Go back to Sony Stock Font?
Ans: Flash SonyXperia Font in FontFly Pack 1

How to use Themer by MyColorScreen on our Note1-N7000

As we all know, Themer is not compatible to our device yet due to resolution issues. Please refer to this page: h****support.themerapp.com/knowledgebase/articles/263019-what-devices-are-supported (just change/erase the h**** on the link as i cannot post url --- for this is my 1st post <XDA rules&reg>)
Anyway, i found a solution if you are desperately wanted to install and use it!!! ^___^
STEPS:
*1. Download the Official Themer App from outside the Market (Obviously we can't download it from the Playstore)
*2. Download and Install "Resolution Changer Pro by Nexter" (You can find it on Playstore or search for any alternative file on other sites)
2.1 Open Resolution Changer Pro
2.2 Since the resolution of our Galaxy Note N7000 is 800x1280 (WxH), 320DPI and the "closest resolution" required by
Themer is 768x1280 (refer to the link above) just change the device width to 768 and height to 1280 and DPI will stay
at 320.
2.3 Enable it! (Now, you will see the changes on your screen size! A tiny bit of blank space on both sides but that's okay)
2.4 Now are Galaxy Note is finally compatible with the Themer App. Yay!
*3. Now, Install the Themer App that you have downloaded earlier. Open and search for themes of your liking!
*4. After you selected and applied your theme, Go back to Resolution Changer and edit the width to 800! Now were back to our regular screen size!
###NOTES: If you have enabled "Navigation Bar" on your ROM, just disable it! Because Themer wont let you search for themes if it is Enabled by default (Use Pie Controls if your used to use Soft Keys)
Enjoy! Cheers
It Works
Thanks
It works like charm.
I've been looking for this! Currently using Buzz launcher but I wanna make a comparison with both, cheers mate.
Thanks for the trick !
