Please, help me out here.
I will buy Huawei U8300 which has Android 2,1. And this will be my first Android phone so i dont know anything.
I found many links on how to root phone and Im not even sure what exactly does that do (first time i hear that).
But as I understand, i can upgrade Android version that way. But how much better can Huawei 8300 go with Android upgrade, and how far can i clock it with some app?
I know Android Market has apps that can be installed after root, but where can i find better version of Android for rooted phone and how can i install it?

Hi! I have a huge need to root my tablet... It has 2.3.1 Android (I guess that is Gingerbread?). It is M908HC model, if that gives you smth. I tried everything! z4root, SuperOneClick, Gingerbreak (with the adb push, not with apk method; but someone from my local android forum wrote that he tried it with apk file and it didn't work either...). Does anyone have an idea how to root that tablet? Please, I really need that root and I belive that it's possible! If you need some more info about, just let me know. I would be very appreciate for helping me...
Or maybe someone knows where can I find the firmware for Goclevers tablets? I looked on their website and I did't find anything.

But this tutorial is about WOPADi7 tablet, not the Goclever R93. It ain't make a diffrence? Will it work on my tablet? And it won't brick it?
Did you manage to root the R93 ? I'm in the same situation, and I even want to replace that version of Android because I think is a little slower!

Seems to be hard... very special model... I don´t think so there is a way to root or to upgrade to ICS.
Try SuperOneClick (search on XDA for it) for rooting. As for ICS I think you'll be out of luck since it's not a known popular brand. Unless, of course, you have aspirations to become a developer

First of all I want to mention that i'm not a phone or software expert, I may have really STUPID questions but i'm trying to find help.
I have a nice little ace phone and i'm having a lot of issues with my phonememory.. I had to delete more and more apps now I still have two..
and there are still issues with that memory
- I would like to know how I can update my android version? I know there is no official update available for my phone..
- Is it safe to update my version? What are the risks?
- Where can I get the update? 4.0 .. 4.1

The first step you need to take is figuring out how to get root access on your phone. After that, look for the updated android version for your phone.

i just got my new android smartphone, im surfing here alot but im new registered user so i cant put link after 10 messages...
the smartphone is NO.1 I9400 can be found in sites like pandawill and lightake.
and i got some question... by the way the phone have root and the normal android recovery
1. i wonder if i can put on it rom that beased on other phone
because there is no custom rom for this one..and the rom i got with him is lame,
2. where can i get the rom that already on the phone..is it possible? the company have no web...or at least i didnt found the site.
3. is there any rom that made to work on all phone
i mean to install it and it will reconize the phone hardware and all, like a general rom for all phone
4. is it possible to put total clean ics 4.1.2? that never have been change on this phone? if so where can i download it?
i have 4.1.2 but it look like it have been customed by the supplier..
5. can i take custom rom like cm9 and change it to work with my phone? like self customize it but in nooby way with guild because im not a developer so i have no experience with building roms...

You can try to root your android by KingRoot app or others. It can't say that rooting android is 100℅ safe but I never bricked my androids by rooting them. So, you also want to ready for any bad consequences.
If you want custom ROM for your android then find it on here or on Google.
