[Q] Root Acer BeTouch E130

Hi
I have Acer BeTouch E130 with Android 2.1 installed. I want to know what is a better experience
1. Rooting the phone and then using custom ROMS
2. Updating the ROM to Android 2.2
In wither case, I would also request to know the procedure to do so.

i'm new in android world and in this forum.
I've an Acer BeTouch E120 with donut 1.6. Acer has released a 2.1 eclair official ROM. I've downloaded and installed... but... it's not enough!!!
I want try with gingerbread! I've downloaded z4root from a forum and rooted my smartphone... i tink it's worked... because after that i've installed MyBackup Root and it's work too!
Now i search a cooked rom of Gingerbread that can work with my smartphone (and some istruction on what i've to do for flasing it) ... can somone help me plz?

I've a news.
I've searched some information about another device (i've an HTC Desire too) and i found a tread where someone talked about a crash with 3G after a rooting process.
I've tried... and... 3G don't work!!!
I've unrooted with z4root and now it work... but... what i can do for install gingerbread in this E120?

[Q] How to downgrade from 4.0.3 to 3.2?

I'm a newbie. My Xoom pop-up many times to update to 4.0.3 and I cancel it many times but I don't know why one day I power it on and see it's version is 4.0.3
Now I want to downgrade Xoom from 4.0.3 to 3.2 like when I bought it. Would someone please show me how to do that! Thanks in advance

Can i ask why you'd want to do that, hc is horrible ics is far better. Suited for the xoom imo, just curious why youd want to downgrade

you will need the android sdk installed on your desktop and make sure to download the correct images for your device
sdk can be found here http://goo.gl/7TrT6
you will lose root and will need to update to 3.2 ota
if you need further help please ask
edit; i prefer honeycomb over ics aswell but hey gotta move with the times

it's not my first time to root android device , but i didnt deal with any tab before , just e-readers (NST) and i have many questions
i want upgrade my system to jelly beans (my current version 4.0.1 ice cream sandwich) , so which best method to root with and safest one , and how about make back up and avoid my device getting bricked while rooting procedure ?? , and what the necessary thing i must take care about/know when i root my device?
between that me From Egypt , and my device with 3g function (Vodafone , Mobinil and Etisalat phone operators) .... so i hope someone provide me right and suitable JB ROM , last thing i will use it for education purpose (Civil Engineering staff beside games) , i want light rom dont take all Hardware resources or just suggest me best one

i just got my new android smartphone, im surfing here alot but im new registered user so i cant put link after 10 messages...
the smartphone is NO.1 I9400 can be found in sites like pandawill and lightake.
and i got some question... by the way the phone have root and the normal android recovery
1. i wonder if i can put on it rom that beased on other phone
because there is no custom rom for this one..and the rom i got with him is lame,
2. where can i get the rom that already on the phone..is it possible? the company have no web...or at least i didnt found the site.
3. is there any rom that made to work on all phone
i mean to install it and it will reconize the phone hardware and all, like a general rom for all phone
4. is it possible to put total clean ics 4.1.2? that never have been change on this phone? if so where can i download it?
i have 4.1.2 but it look like it have been customed by the supplier..
5. can i take custom rom like cm9 and change it to work with my phone? like self customize it but in nooby way with guild because im not a developer so i have no experience with building roms...

Basiclly your out of luck here, Almost no China based devices are here. So your better off looking on some china sites.
