Hi guys, is there any demand for converting the JPS files into JPG? (I know JPS is in JPEG with 2 pictures side-by-side)
I've made a script that takes one of the pictures in JPS and saves it in JPG.
Pretty simple, so it also rearranges the files into folders with the dates the photos were taken.
If enough people wants it I will post it here (I need to make it more user-friendly first )
Or is there already some app that does the same thing?
The 3Dsteroid app can do that and also convert to other formats. Though the free version limits the final image size.
I use my laptop to edit jps but think it sounds good

At the end of the movie when the main character looks up in the air the sees the attached picture spinning slowly. It’s very similar to the galaxy live wallpaper already out there but this gold and cloudy. Please help

Ok if u guys want to create some urselves this is how i did it.
Get one of these utube videos, these r gud Link
Then download it using an online converter, i download at hd quality as mp4
Now i used vidcrop to crop the length of the video as well as the resolution.
Then once i exported the video from vidcrop, i used avcutty to dump them as bmp.
Then i used faststone photo resizer to convert them to png's at the same time controlling the quality of the images so they dont end up being 10mb each

So after that, use those images to create a lwp using my script. Done.
There are at least 2 different freeware viewers available, for 3D photos taken with the Optimus 3D, or other stereoscopic images that you may want to view on the 3D screen.
Good to have options to the built-in viewer, which I am guessing is weak on supporting other stereo 3D formats.

seems like even the "A*o*e" suit do not support the video or photo!!!
It's all there, there is a workflow description here:
www.a*o*e.com/ie/products/creativesuite/production/stereoscopic-3d.html
Workflow overview
1. Shoot stereo footage, install A*o*e Premiere Pro and Cineform Neo3D
2. Rename assets in A*o*e Bridge for left eye and right eye
3. Use Cineform First Light to convert and multiplex each shot
4. Sync, converge, and adjust muxed assets in First Light
5. Import stereo muxed assets into A*o*e Premiere Pro
6. Edit and add 3D effects and titles in A*o*e Premiere Pro
7. Export stereo 3D assets from A*o*e Media Encoder

this workflow is for 2 separate video streams, this isn't a problem with footage from the phone so ignore that "workflow"
the video from the LG is a single MP4 file that looks like splitscreen. There is information in the MP4 header to say it is 3D (according to LG and the same with HTC and their phone). Adobe Premier will edit this without a problem, where you will run into problems is wipes, titles etc. (simple crossfades and straight cuts will be fine)
Another problem (right now) will be outputting the file, we don't yet know exactly what codec (and version) to use and how to format it (MP4 3D header?) so it plays in 3D back on the phone, though I expect this to come out pretty quick after the launch of the phone.
As for photos, I can edit them OK in Photoshop, though I have to rename to .jpg first and you need a good understanding of stereoscopic 3D to ensure you edit both "photos" correctly.
THanks for the tip, I will take a look the video lecture to see if it really help.
Because I am using a panasonic cam which produce SBS video and the Fujifim W3(avi) and the SH-12C(3gp) to create video, Editing and effect seems to be complicated with the PP5.5.
Because the SH-12 can only play mp4. it is getting complicate to just convert to the correct format.
I think one way will to to upload it to YT3d and download is back for viewing
People in A*o*e seems to like to work with the big camera with 2X 1080p stream other tha half-SBS or interlace video.
As for the MPO files can you open the 2 layers by just renaming them?
I remember seeing a special camera app over on the other One X forum that set the JPEG compression to 0 and increased the video to 20mbps. The app has since been pulled because it was too buggy. We couldn't have flashed it anyway because you need cwm.
It got me thinking about something like that on our One X. Would it be as easy as changing a buried config file somewhere? Or would it require a whole new app? I'd love to be able to take some uncompressed, or less compressed pictures and really show off the camera's capabilities.

thinking the same thing - I know they are compressing the hell out of the pictures as 1.5MB images from an 8mp camera is too small. I would at least have liked the option of choosing my compression levels.
I'm going to be doing some international travel into locations with very limited bandwidth. I'd like to be able to regularly upload videos to youtube and some photos but still take photos/videos. My problem is that I really need to downsample the video and reduce the photo sizes to upload them where I will be at. Are there any good apps that make it easy to simply downsample a video for youtube upload and (probably another app) to reduce pixel size of photos in bulk ahead of time or during upload?
I don't really ever think about this here since I have about 5Mb upload at home I can just upload to my hearts content. Once that drops to about 128k though that really changes things. I know how to easily do it all on my laptop but really want to just travel with my tablet if possible.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
FYI in case anyone else is ever looking for these kinds of solutions.
Images can be done with Image Shrink. Install app the go to gallery, and select image(s) and share to image shrink. The app will shrink as configured and then share to another image app.

Video is best done with Video Converter Android. Install app then codec as indicated in app. Videos can be selected in app and then batch converted and downsized as configured.

Both apps have lite versions but I bought both to support devs and get rid of ads.

Hello guys I would like to know if it's possible to change the format the phone saves pictures from jpg to png. I doubt samsung will optimize this phone for social media so I would like to know if there is a way to make png as the default format. The phone has the option to do this for screenshots so I think it should be possible. At the moment whenever I want to share a picture in specific I just rename it to .png and that does the trick but its annoying and I would like a solution to this.

I want this too. Samsung saves way too much info in the jpg.

There's a good reason why png is the default for screen shots; pixel by pixel representation.
Handle your jpeg with care; always save the original if doing edits.
RAW is still the best format for photograph archives for future editing flexibility.

currently there is no way, even if it is technically possible, to save photos as png direct from camera. convert them or take screenshot of them

Not needed if RAW formatting can be set.
Save in RAW format. You can convert it latter.
RAW is superior to all the other formats because it saves the most raw camera data. Up to 3 f/stops of exposure and white balance data too.

RAW files are too large. the point of my post was to know if we can have png as an alternative to jpeg for social media use to avoid the awful compression, plus you have to be in pro mode to take RAW pictures which is kind of annoying.

Yeah the lack of raw support in other modes is annoying.
